I mean having all normal Skylanders, crystal Wham-shell, Cynder and Hex, all 4 Legendaries, Dark Spyro, Mettalic Cynder, and all Golds & Silvers?

Only missing pearl Hex, crystal Wham and Cynder.

I figure if I can't get them now, I WILL get them later, after people realize they aren't worth what they originally paid for them. Things with the knack for losing popularity over time (I don't see this lasting as long as other franchises), lose their value.

I never buy my golds/silvers/whatnot with value in mind. I buy them because I am a fan, not because I have the chance to flip for thousands later, because then I am robbing myself of a good collection.

However, in time, I am willing to bet that things like pearl Hex, clear Wham, Cynder, and the third clear, will be easier to find, and cost far less than they do now.

Good things come to those who wait.

Sometimes waiting does not allow good things to come.

i'm missing standard wham-shell, crystal wham-shell, crystal cynder (and the other crystal that is probably hiding)

i don't like my ice cream to melt too much so i already have the pearl hex and all other variants ... and several one off articulated custom skylander variants

and as i don't like licking my ice cream through the plastic tub all of my skylanders have been released from their packaging

The only one I have is Blue Bash. Honestly, it'd be nice to find them in a store, but I wouldn't pay over $30 for a gold/silver online. Won't stop me from hunting in every store I go in, but I'm not gonna waste the money on them.

However, I'd love to get my hands on a Metallic Cynder or Pearl Hex. Those ones are really nice looking, but no way am I gonna shell out $200+ for it.

I own basically everything, including Pearlie, with the following provisos:

Metallic Cynder in transit to me (heavily insured so even if lost/damaged) I can replace readily

L-Trig and Blue Bash waiting to be sent to me

Warnado and Camo still MIA but that is no biggie...

No clear variants or the flocked S/Smash yet but that is merely a matter of time

And if someone does, Activision will just make more variants. Guaranteed.

Until someone nabs all the prototype figures, the Arbo figure, etc., no one will truly have a "complete" set. Doesn't matter how many pointless extras you buy.

None, other than Blue Bash. If I saw a gold/silver in store, sure, I'd buy it, but the ebay prices are ridiculous. And call me crazy, but the Pearl Hex and Metallic Cynder are both really ugly...especially the Cynder. Give me a glue stick and some purple glitter and I could make my own easy xP But to each his/her own I guess.

Complete in a rational sense is wrt what is commercially available (albeit with limited releases).

Sooner or later, Activi$ion will move on to something else so the variants are finite.

The E3 Trigger Happy is merely a standard Trig in a special single packaging so the fig is the same as a starter pack one.

I have no desire to even collect the rest of the figures. After getting my son l-trigs and dragons peak, his interest in the game wanned severly. I am now the proud owner of over 30 pieces of junk plastic. Wooo

At least when i sell the gold, metallic, and blue bash, my family will have a vacation that will last in their memories for a long time.
