Probably not.I doubt that he will be dead,though.He just won't appear in the game,I'm guessing.

think about it, why did the chronicler build the fortress to only let purple dragons in if he wasnt a purple dragon?

Think about the Chronicler(DM) didn't want Spyro to go to The Mountain of Malefor, because he wanted to destroy Spyro while he was there.

The Chronicler is not the Dark Master maybe they are brothers but he is not the Dark Master. But he might of been one of the elders that taught him because he knew alot about the Dark Master and the Chronicler taught Spyro the moves so he might of taught the Dark Master.
