Is anyone else fed up with ToysRUs? I mean it is so annoying most people there know nothing of Skylanders. It is annoying me so much.

Yes, I've been in your shoes but I've encountered some employees that are actually very informative and helpful. I guess it depends on the employee and if they're interested in Skylanders. I do get better service in-store than over the phone, I'm always put on hold forever and some of them don't even understand what Skylanders are

Personally, I just dislike going there every time they come up with some stupid gimmick launch. This (Blue Bash) is the third time in as many weeks. I'm tired of it. TRU requires way more of a drive than the average store, for almost everyone, and their prices are a ripoff. This partnership is great for Activision and TRU, but horrible for the consumer.

^ I'm sorry to hear that. My Toys'R'us is no more than twenty minutes away depending on the traffic so it's not too out of the way. I 'm more disappointed with the service over the phone than in-store.

It depends on which TRU you go to

I know your frustration, joerox. I can't stand calling my TRU, so much so, that in fact I have my boyfriend call them instead. I like talking to them less and less. I finally had an employee who seemed to have a clue about Skylanders on the phone last night, which was a pleasant change, but sadly that's the first time I've had such an employee since the hunt for Skylanders began.

Another thing I can't stand is the fact that when you call, you're placed on hold for at least five minutes. I've been on hold for nine minutes before. It's ridiculous.

And Tashiji's right: The constant stream of events at TRU is starting to get old really fast. I don't mind every once in a while, especially since TRU is less than ten minutes from my house, but having a new release every weekend and being told of the limited stock so you end up in line for an hour to really get what you want isn't fun. Enduring those last thirty minutes is rougher when the sun hits the front of the building and you're in the Sunshine State. It gets pretty hot here.

Yep. I don't really care for TRU or their customer service (and judging by the complaints I've seen all around the internet, I'm positive no one else does either)

I also agree with Tashiji; continuously having events every weekend is kind of annoying. However, I'd have to say they're getting customers in there which is a good thing for their company. The problem is that if they didn't have anything, I'd doubt anyone would go to the store especially if other retailers had them. It doesn't help when they basically force you to get up early if you want a shot at something which really shouldn't be how this game has it's releases. And like Madel said, the amount of time to call around isn't worth it, especially when you call it it runs like this:

3 minutes of ringing> Hello, how may I help you? "Can you transfer me to Electronics?" "Sure, hold on one minute> 6 minutes of some lousy pop song rotation>Hello electronics? "Do you have X Skylander?" Lemme check>5 minutes later "Nope, we don't have them.

Now that Blue Bash is out and I have my fill, I'm pretty sure I'm done with TRU. Granted they don't have any future specials or get the Wave 5 guys first, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Well you know that there is rumor going around that Easter Sunday Toys will have Camo and Warnado for sale?

So, I had a pleasant experience at mine. They got 12 in and they handed out 12 tickets. There was an employee there who has notoriously taken ones for his own devices the last few runs the store got of new figures. Not today. The store got 12 and they handed out 12. This means he didn't get one. The store manager said if someone working at the store wanted one, they would have to get in line with the rest of us on their day off. I don't fully believe that happens when he isn't in store to stop him. But yeah, they even let us inside the doors to stay warm while we waited today. Nerd boy scalper wasn't even on the floor in electronics today, so that was sweet justice. I know I'm bitter towards this guy. But I've had good and bad calls with Toys r Us. I've had them go check the back for me, and connect me without problem to electronics. I just think they get burned out answering the questions about Skylanders. Just gotta take it with a grain of salt. After this month, we can not worry about TRU till Giants has exclusives. But I doubt they will. I'm excited for wave 5...soon I figure we can all enjoy our time not standing in line waiting. I got there at 8:10 this morning and didn't see another soul till around 8:50. The 12 person showed up right at store opening. Was glad to see all parents buy them. I think there was one person who was a scalper...but he only got one for his trouble...so...mission accomplished.

i would not discount this as a possibility. dragon's peak/zook/lightning rod kind of came out of nowhere with no real warning until a week before their release, and even that was sketchy.
