I have a feeling the "returning skylander" will be Spyro...only because the franchise was built off of him. I can't see it being Trig or Gill, and none of other Skylanders I feel are important enough to be put in the Starter pack.

A redesigned Spyro seems like a good idea to me.

That's what I'm guessing. Even though Spyro's name isn't in the title for Giants, he's still like a founding character. What makes things interesting though, is that means Gil and Triggs will be in single packs which would be awesome.
(this given that the 4 Skylanders who won't be getting a remodel or LightForce variant will be the 4 from the Adventure packs which will probably still be sold)

Good thought, thinking about it, Prism Break is a certain LightForce variant and Zook is remodelled, and they both come in Singles/Triples. So i recon your theory is right.

^Cynder is also being remodled, so that increases the chances of his theory being right.

Dear lord please don't let it be Spyro in the Giants Starter. I'm actually thinking it will be Cynder, Bash or Drobot. Cynder would be a good choice since she is a fan favorite.

Why remodeled cynder? Why not the titular character, spyro?

BTW I recon it'll be Stealth Elf, because in all the pre-plays, they use Stealth Elf and Tree Rex

@nintendo its not in the giants title and they have to appeal to both sides of the fanbase.

BUT, prism break isnt techically redesigned. so the ones that are lightforce are the ones that arnt getting redesigned, right? so i hope thell make a redesigned sunburn in a triple pack with zook and wham shell. those are my favorite.

But Stealth Elf is already in the 3DS starter pack. If they're going to use anybody that's already in a starter pack it'll be Spyro.

I'm really hoping it's Spyro because I really want a Spyro redesign (his prototypes looked awesome and I want to see him in a cool new pose...and I really can't see them SELLING a Spyro single O.o)

Part of me hopes it's Spyro and part of me dosen't. If it is Spyro, I'll have two of my favorite character and won't have to reset Spyro to try his other path... But if I have two, how will I be able to choose which one to play as? D:

I'm saying this because only 24 are being remoddled, and another 4 are light-force. This leaves four not being redesiged, and it's most probably these. (since they're from adventure packs).

But it could also be Spyro, Bash, Chop Chop, and Trigger Happy, since they have had legendary versions.

Yup, that's my theory too. That way, they can continue selling the Adventure Packs, which seem like they'll probably do something in Giants. (granted that all the old figures still work, it makes sense the item ones would too)

A huge factor in supporting the theory that the Adventure Pack characters won't be re-made is the sheer fact that they haven't announced if there would be any new Adventure Packs for Giants, something you'd think they would if it was planned.

All 32 according to some new info that came to light. All 32 are the only way to take them past level 10. The old ones still work, but can't go beyond level 10.

Yeah see I'm not that freaked out any more, and here's why. I went back and watched every video from Toy Fair and never once did they say there would be a new level cap. Also They did state that the new remodeled figures wouldn't do anything new in Giants so no new abilities. Now why give new levels if you don;t get new abilities. To my knowledge the only stat that changes as you level is your HP. So I'm going off of the assumption that there are no new levels. If anyone knows different please let me know. That Family Gamer T.V. article seems to be based off of a lot of assumptions and very little confirmed facts.

Because, the adventure pack worlds won't work in Giants

the items themselves should still work.

Anyways, back on topic, I hope it isn't Spyro who returns. I mean I love him and everything, but the First one was centered quite a lot on him in terms of marketing and Promotion.

This isn't A Spyro series, it's a new series with Spyro in it.

they'll most likely not release the adventure pack exclusives in a single pack. so im thinking the other 4 not rereleased will be the starter pack exclusives and ignitor

I want it to be Spyro but I have a feeling it won't be because spyro was being used to increase sales for skylanders. Now that they have enough fans they will likely want to remove spyro from their games as soon as possible meaning he might not even be the central character in giants.

Nope, see this thread/interview.

My prediction for the pack is this: Tree Rex (Giant), Spyro (Returning Skylander) and Vac Eagle (New Skylander). Although we'd have to see who else they're adding to the game, that seems like the right grouping.

There will be way tooo many Spyros if they use Spyro.

Well Activi$ion did try to base the Skylanders off spyro so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a spyro.

I thought that sunburn, terrafin, ghost roaster and slam bam were going to be in single packs this time? Anyways i think that the returning skylanders will be Spyro because he was the main character in the last one or wham shell because he doesn't have a triple

About the adventure packs, it says peripherals may not work with sequels on the box so the items might not work. Also I really hope that the returning skylander isn't spyro. I already have him (duh) dark spyro, and hope to get legendary. Four spyros is a bit much for me. Although they did say that there would be a starter pack without portal. would that have different skylanders too?

See, I've always figured that to be a loophole. Technically, they don't HAVE to make any of the current 37 figures work with Giants. It would have been marketing suicide, but all they would have had to do is point to the back of the box and come up with some sort of technical jargon-y excuse.

Although a total of 4 Spyros is kind of crazy, the game kind of is a Spyro game. (whether or not some people see it as such, that's up for debate of course) And it'd potentially give us that other Spyro figure model we saw in those behind the scenes pictures (the ones with the Arbo figure)


I certainly hope they don't make alternate packs. There'd be 4 total different ones then, one with the portal and one without for the consoles and one with/without for the 3DS then. And that'd be a nightmare.
