Do you think that the Chronicler will appear in this game? I have this feeling that he will be captured by the Dark Master and it will be Spyro's job to save him.

I'm not quite sure, but that might be possible

I think he may be one of those characters who just falls out of the story. Too bad, I liked him, he was so mysterious, and a huge part of TEN's plot.

I liked him too thats why I thought that he should also play a role in this game I mean how could they just drop him after one game and him playing such a huge role. Plus if you remeber he told Spyro not to go and save Cynder, so in the game the Chronicler may be mad at Spyro for doing what he told him not to do.

I thought he was a very sketchy character. What with the whole telling Spyro you cannot defy fate and stuff like that. >.>

I believe that he meant fate and I agree with HIR about the Chronicler in that he was quite a sketchy character, but I doubt we are likely to see anymore of him. I could be wrong, but then again I maybe right, we'll just have to wait for more information regarding DoTD.

i wish that it didnt take THIS long to make an awesome game...

The Chronichler seems more like a come and go charactor like Twilight said.

I highly doubt he will return in DOTD.

I liked him but I really wish that we would have seen more of him in TEN because in the next game we may not see him again.

I guess he is just a thing in the past.

Maybe he is ashamed to show his face, coz he doubted the power of the GREATEST PURPLE DRAGON EVER!!!!!

I don't think he will be. Whoever's playing his voice hasn't been mentioned. *shrugs* The Chronicler's awesome.

I agree, I think that the Chronicler is Malefor's brother and thats why he knew so much about him. I think that the Cronicler will be captured in this game and will not die.

Perhaps the Chronicler learned how to use all of the breaths and time from Malefor, or mayb, the Chronicler is one of the ancient elders that taught the DM all of the powers before he was exiled...

I think: The Chronicler was DM's best friend when they were young. they grew up together like brothers and they trained all day long. Then, The Chronicler got jelous coz DM was gettin all the attention coz hes a Purple dragon, so, The Chronicler sat and studied till he couldnt bare it ni more, then he wrote all the books of time and became know as The Chronicler. DM was furious coz he didnt get any more attention coz The Chronicler was so smart and everything, SO, he decided to learn all the dark elements and became Evil. then he re-named his self The Dark Master and made his own army. as a starter army, he made the troops baboons to try out, they were okay so he kept them and made them stringer and smarter. Ever since, The Chronicler has carried on his duty and so has DM. Then they came together in a big war and the Chronicler won, with the guardians at his side. and the DM was no-more. Then ANB starts and the story of ANB continues....

I don't know, the Chronicler knows something about the DM that we don't, because he didn't want Spyro to go there.

I have a theory that the Chronicler played the same part in Malefor's childhood that Ignitus does with Spyro. A wise mentor.

I agree with you 100%, we know the Chronicler is not the Dark Master and we know that the Chronicler played a role in the Dark Masters life that is why he knows so much about him.

chronicler is a time dragon...
i dont know if he can change what happens in the past or not though...

I dunno about the 'Time Dragon' thing. I think he's just...ancient. His scales might've dulled to grey with age. He told Spyro that only a purple dragon has control over time, so how could he be a time dragon?

he didnt use that special pad to "reawaken" time within Spyro,
so does this bring back my purple dragon

No need to, Spyro wanted things to stop and they did. The Chronicler did not help with that.

hmm...
but Spyro is like WTH and doesnt know what is going on with the time power until the chronicler explains them, and in ANB he immediatly knows about his powers when he "unlocks" them.

Here is what Sierra has to say:
Dragon Time will not be one of Spyro's abilites in DotD. The Chronicler taught this ability to Spyro for the sole purpose of allowing him to survive the collapse of Mount Malefor. In his most desperate moment, Spyro realized why he had been taught this ability and why he had been summoned - to ride out the storm that was coming.

That makes it feel so epic...more epic.
