Skylanders Starter Packs $39.99 at TRU 2/12 through 2/18

On the second page in the lower left is the Skylanders Starter packs. I am not sure why the advert says "All Skylanders Starter Packs" and when you zoom in on the ad it says "Save $30 on all Wii Skylanders starter packs", but I guess we have to go with the presumption for the moment that ALL starter packs will be on sale for $39.99. If you have been wanting that second portal for your other game system, now might be the time to grab it. Oh, it says that they will be available online at tru.com as well.

UPDATE: ALL versions of the Skylanders Starter Packs are on sale (including 3DS) at tru.com this AM for $39.99. Snap them up!

3DS version is the only one I would think about, but not for $40.

This is a fantastic deal for anyone still in need of the Dark Spyro/Ignitor/Stealth Elf three-pack... and the game that comes along with it isn't half-bad, either.

3DS version is more than half-bad, it's actually a really fun platformer. So much like old school Crash Bandicoot/Spyro the Dragon.

$40 bucks is a good price for the 3Ds game!!!! Think about it......figures go for around $10.00 now, and you get 3 with the 3Ds version!
Plus a mini portal and the actual game!

portal, game, and one figure would not get used. so $40 for 2 figures is kinda pointless espically when i can wait a month or 2 and get one of those figs for $8-$10

I'm willing to bet if you wait till fall or late year, you'll be able to pick up 3DS starter packs for half that price or close to it.

Pretty good little game on the 3Ds though would not buy it just for figures.

My kids have lost our DSiXL on more than one occasion. No way am I buying them another one to lose. I hate looking for things others have lost.

I took advantage of this offer and got an xbox version. We lost our Wii disk last month and been itching to play since we got our empire of ice pack. I just could not justify paying $70 for a starter. I might grab the DS version just for the figs.

I think the cheap starter is an awesome idea. I bet Activision finally realized that they could sell the starter at cost and still make money (with the figure/pack sales).

Gonna buy the 3DS version tomorrow when I'm done with classes. Even though I already have Dark Spyro and Ignitor, I'd like to have the stickers and card (Since the guy I bought them from neglected to include them....) and I'm actually a bit curious of the 3Ds version anyway.

How to get the starter pack for $20??

If you have kinect then dancing games are sure to be found in your kinect games library. Well guess what? Buy a Just dance 3 game for xbox (or wii) and get 50% off an another video game. Couple that with the new $39.99 price of the starter and you can buy an starter pack for just $20. I did not try it until I got back from TRU because I was convinced it would not work but I tried it on the toyrus.com site and having Just dance 3 (wii or XBox) will take out 50% of the retail price of any other video game in your cart which can work on the $39.99 starter.

^ how much is one of these dance games??? You are not really getting it for $20.00 if you are spending $39.99 on "I'm sexy and I know it!"

The Just dance 3 is for 39.99 and yes I will spend that much on "I'm sexy and I know it!". The kids have a lot of fun with the dancing games.

I hear it also makes for good exercise for the parents too.

According to the blurb about it on the actual Sunday ad, its not combinable with any other offer.

If it works online, more power to anyone, but you won't be able to do that in the store.
