I would like to know because I'm considering getting the PS3 version of Giants, but I have Skylanders for 360

The X360 portal is working only with the X360 and with the webgame on PC, but not with the PC game.

The X360 portal is the only one that works that way.

No it will not work....but you could always buy the Giants game with the portal for the PS3!
That way all your Characters will work, and you can keep your Xbox portal for your Xbox and Web-game.

dammit, i think that the portal packs will cost more, i guess i'll just get it for 360

I don't doubt you (well, not that much) but I just don't grok this.

At a comms level there is no reason for the portal to work for the PC webgame but not the PC "proper" game?

At a marketing level there is also no rationale, given that other console portals will work.

Then how does the XBox one work at all on the PC (webgame wise)? To do that, they need to rejig the USB protocol and basically defy a universal standard.

If you can't trust M$ then who can you trust?

The proof of the pudding would be to try a (wired) 3DS one or a PC one on the XBox. Did someone say pudding?

I did try the XBox portal on Wii (had to unpack Wii game to do so, hence my initial reticience). That was the reason for my last post.

I now want someone else to try 3DS and/or PC portal on XBox as I can't try those combos.

3DS portal doesn't work on my X360, but you can ask someone else to check on their side if you prefer!

Um, not too sure about that. My PC version portal states on the bottom that it is for the x-box 360. So obviously it would still work on 360. And vis versa.

This is weird, as the PC version has a wired portal with a shorter cable. And it is written under it that it is for PC.

Also, I tried my X360 portal on my PC, and while in the game, when they ask you to put a champion on the portal, the portal just flashes with different colors then turns off when you try to put a figure on it.

^Huh... Maybe that's why so many people have portal problems/broken Skylanders with the PC version... They must have packed the boxes with the wrong portals, LOL.
