Wii, PS3, 360, and 3DS starter sets are going for $49.99 at Best Buy for a limited time. If you've been on the fence about trying another version, or if you want a really reasonable deal on the Dark Spyro/Ignitor/Stealth Elf three-pack you've been putting off because it was 70 bucks, now is the time to go do it. There will probably never be a chance this good, and as an added bonus, Volcanic Vaults have yet to be discontinued. smilie

Very cool. I caught the Wii version from Toys R Us for $20 off at Christmas for my son, but frankly after seeing it I'm probably going to get the Xbox or PS3 version for myself... hehe... Maybe I should buy some Activision stock too lol.

Not sure why no one is stocking the PC version, but it appears to be also cheaper than the console versions if budget is a concern.

Gamestop is doing that right now as well, and my local Kmart, skylanders starter games/kits are going for only $40.

Yup, picking up the 3DS version now. I've been looking for an excuse to get it. Now I'll have ignitor and dark spyro!!! Woo hoo!

Don't forget if you bought your Starter Set at Best Buy between Thanksgiving and Christmas, you can Price Match until the end of January. Bring your receipt to the Customer Service Desk and they will refund you the difference in price to whatever you used to pay for it (or a gift card if you prefer).

Ooooh! Thanks! Just purchased it for pickup at my local BB! I've been wanting the 3DS version and my hubby is getting me a 3DS for my birthday!
