Time slips by quickly
Yet now it seems to travel slowly
You smile trying to comfort me
Yet there is weakness in your eyes I can see
I embrace your body in a tight hug
It is like I'm treating you like a cub
I can hear you softly weeping tears
Though you act like there is nothing to fear
I close my eyes and remember moments
Where we would enjoy life and truly show it
Time is running out I can tell
It almost makes me want to scream and yell
You whisper to me comforting words
For it is something I've never heard
Now the tears are starting to streak down my face
Before I can say something it is already too late
You lay motionless in my arms with no breath
You had closed your eyes to enter eternal rest
I hug you tightly and continue to cry
For Claus my twin brother I now have to say good bye
