How did Malefor get Trapped in the Mountain? [CLOSED]

In The Eternal Night, we were told that the earth split under Malefor, suggesting that he simply fell through the crack. But in the cut scene, we saw him (or possibly another dragon) escapine the Well AFTER it was created.

You must Know! When Spyro meets the Chronicler, he tells him of the Dark Master's past, and at one point says "the earth cracked and split uner the sheer weight of his malice" (Not exact quote.) then there is a picture of a dragon flying away from what is now known as The Well of Souls. Play the game again if you don't believe me.

Technically, he's trapped in the dark realm. Once his essence is freed from Convexity, he needs to be revived at the Well of Souls. >.>
