Dark, you might think this sounds stupid. I don't know if it's been suggested or not, but we need a "Quick Editing" feature. A quick edit allows you to edit your post within the topic. Essentially, this means you can make changes to your post while continuing to view the topic, as opposed to having to open a new page with solely the text box containing your post. I think this could be useful because it allows a user to edit the post without leaving the topic itself.

I know it sounds silly, but very successful freeware forums like Zetaboards (which I frequent) has the feature and it has proved quite useful. If you would like, I can send you a link to Zetaboards' help files which discusses the quick edit feature. Not sure if it provides any corresponding code but it might.
