Well, here I will be posting on the thoughts of a possible cartoon for Skylanders, and when thinking about that, I guess my thoughts turned a different direction of how a cartoon would go. After that, I found myself going forward with a story and characters, and it's turning into a fanfic. I hope you enjoy and would love to hear what others feedback.

Oh, and just for the record, I have tried to keep the story focused to a general audience, though honestly I'm sorry if turns out closer to a PG rating.

Oh and although for the most part I will be doing my best to keep to the Skylanders universe and their character traits. However certain aspects are expanded or even retold by my own imagination.

Lastly, the characters from game are not mine, and I have not asked Activision or Toys for Bob to use their characters, so I apologize if I don't do their wonderful creations justice.

That's all I have for right now, so I will get on with the story, and I hope you enjoy.

A young boy of about 12 years of age was leaning forward on the couch his eyes locked intently across the room on the television as he gripped his controller tightly, the portal glowing softly as the Trigger Happy figure set on it, other figures were scattered across the coffee table and a half full glass of water. The speakers buzzed with the words of Chaos as clicked the controller, and the final battle was drawing to a close. As the final cut scene began, he dropped back breathing a huge sigh, a smile on his cheeks, as he whispered to himself, “I did it I saved Skylands, I knew I could, I can’t wait to tell them at school tomorrow.”

Smiling as he closed his eyes for a moment when suddenly the television buzzed and he looked up, Master Eon was on the screen, “Young one Skylands is danger once again, we know you just saved us, but Dakota, we need you.”

The boy blinked as he sat up, “HEY, did he say my name? How did they do that, it’s so cool, mom must have entered it. So awesome.”

Master Eon, smiled on the screen, and the portal on the coffee table began to glow brightly, the light flooding the room as time seemed to freeze, Dakota’s mouth was agape, the controller slipping from his fingers as the light became blinding.

As his vision began to clear Dakota found himself sitting on the stone floor in a darkened room. A soft voice spoke in the shadows, “ummm, a skylander, no not new skylander, you are the new portal master are you not young sir?”

Dakota blinked as his eyes were quickly adjusting to the dimness, “portal master, yeah, I was the portal master in the game, but didn’t I finish it?”

The mole like figure reached up to adjust his glasses, and holding an open book in his other hand, glanced into it, “ummm, oh, oh yes, young man you did complete the game, that is why Master Eon summoned you here, you can help save us, there are many others too, it seems that in your world the game has found more portal masters than we could have ever wished for. Sadly though this has allowed Shadow Heart to gain in power and the darkness to spread.”

The boy blinked again, “but its just a game its not real, you’re not real, you can’t be.”

Hugo stepped closer, his clawed hand pointing up, “oh you don’t believe look up, I’m sure you will recognize that.”

Dakota, glanced slowly upwards and then loudly gasped as he saw the underside of the portal of light, “it the portal from the game, oh my gosh I can’t believe it looks so real.”

Hugo giggled, “Yes, yes, then don’t believe, even though I show you all the evidence but young Dakota won’t see the truth. Well then lets get onto what Master Eon wishes me to help you with, young one look at right hand, do you know what that is?” The boy looked down at his hand, and blinked as there was nothing on it, when the mole spoke again. “No….no, your other right, look on your other right hand young one.”

Dakota blinked as he looked over questioningly, and shrugged glancing to his left hand instead, noticing a glove, he looked closer, as there appeared to be a small version of the portal of power he had used during the game on the back of it just big enough it seemed to fit one of the skylander figurines. “wow, that’s so cool, they made the portal smaller and it fits on my hand, awesome, but oh yeah now I remember your name, it’s Hugo you were the cowardly nerd mole in the game, it’s on my left hand.”

Hugo frowned, for a moment looking back at his book, “left….left, I told you left, after all my observations and directions can always be counted on for guidance, but right now it’s time to figure out which skylander you have, all that come here seem to be joined by one of the skylanders when they first arrive. So which one do you have, lets see it, I need to know which one so that I can tell you where we go from here, after information is the key and you should tell me the info as soon as you can.”

The boy nodded just trying to accept all that he was being told, and still half not believing this was some kind of dream, but felt for some strange reason to check the pockets of his jeans. In the right front pocket he found a small crystal that was orange in color, as he looked at it though a soft glow began to emit from it almost as if he could see a pulse, the gem slowly transforming between his fingers to that of a figurine from the game. “Oh so cool, it’s Trigger Happy, I love him, he’s my fav, and he fits in here?” Placing the figure into the portal on the back of his hand, where he heard an audible click as it was placed.

Hugo stammered, “no…no, not yet, we aren’t ready for that yet.” As the figurine glowered softly on the back of his hand and being begun to form next to Dakota, and a catchy voice cries out, “No Gold, No Glory.” His blue skin, and gold weapons flashed in the darkness, swinging his weapons around.

Dakota smiled broadly at the figure that stood nearly up to his waist, “oh my gosh, it’s the legendary one, I thought he was just a rumor but he does exist and I’ve got him, so cool.” At that Trigger Happy, just began to laugh and fire off his golden pistols wildly.”

Hugo ducked for cover, as he was visibly shaking, the coin bullets flying through the air, “no….no not here don’t you realize you could damage the portal of light that I worked so hard to build all by myself.”

The boy just blinked, and reached for the figure on the portal of his hand, a soft click again, and as he pulled the figure away Trigger Happy vanished into the air. “I’m sorry.”

Hugo scrambled to his feet, “no…no, it’s okay, well I guess you have what you need, now it’s time for you to set out on your mission, you must follow this hall and you will be taken to an area where you can learn what it takes to rid the skylands of this new evil blanketing the land, and don’t worry others are out there that can help you. Also Master Eon suggests you spend as much time as you can finding more skylanders, after all in this land now, many more skylanders have been found than were during the situation with Chaos.”

Dakota could only just blink and nod, finding himself slowly walking down the hall that he was directed towards, leaving Hugo alone in the room. Then seeing as he was alone and the young new comer had gotten out of ear shot, he looked up at the bottom of the Portal of Light, “Master Eon, did you see? Not only was it one of the major thirty two, but a legendary one at that, the Legendary Trigger Happy, how will he ever control that crazy little gremlin?”

The face slowly materialized in the air, of the smiling Master Eon, “yes, I know, perhaps this is the one we have been waiting for; perhaps he can overcome Shadow Heart himself.”

He exited the tunnel and found a small wooden platform on the side of a cliff, though when he peeked over the side he gasped, as he realized they were on a floating island of stone, and there was nothing beneath. Lurching back to hug the wall tightly, “what in the world, he said to go this way and there would be others, he didn’t mean for me to fall did he, that would kill me.”

When suddenly a voice echoed along the cliff, “Ahoy, portal master, awww, another man, and I was hoping for a another pretty girl, but they just keep sending me these boys to deliver. I guess it’s that all the ladies were just too jealous so now they sent me to help you. So what skylander do you have, there are some of them that are total babes, and I know they love me just as much as all the others.”

The boy shook his head, “Flynn? The balloon guy, you’re here too?”

The man laughed as he brought the balloon in closer, “Oh I see so my fame precedes me, they know my name all across the universe do they not, the great Flynn of the skies, and after all it’s all thanks to me that the Skylands were saved from Chaos. Now hope in and I’ll take you to the outer islands were the others are gathering.”

Slowly Dakota moved from the wall of the cliff, and hoped into the basket of the balloon, “ummm okay, well let’s go.”

They slowly floated along, when suddenly Flynn’s eyes grew big, “no…..no….no, not that, it’s a zeppelin, we are in trouble, and I mean trouble as in the B-I-G kind, do you know what I mean?”

The boy blinked again, “what do we do? There’s no way to fight here in the air like this. “

Flynn just nodded, “I know, I know, so I will get you close to an island and you hope off.” Softly whispering, “and then I can use that as a chance to escape.” Before raising his voice to finish, “Don’t worry I’ll distract them for you.”

Dakota just shook his head hearing the whole comment but deciding right now is not the right time, and it would be best to just get off this balloon. Then as it got close to an island, Dakota leaped from it rolling as he hit the ground. The balloon darted off as he leaped as if propelled by a rocket and it seemed that the zeppelin hadn’t even noticed them, at least that part was lucky.

You know, as nice as it is that someone is writing down fanfics for the game, this really doesn't belong here on the skylanders forum, it should go into the fan fiction one instead.
