Is there any proof tht the TLOS series is a Reboot or could it just be telling the Spyro story from the start?

One person who designed the game said it was a Prequil, but others have mainly said that it's a reboot of the series. So, as you can see, this situation is kind of back and forth regarding this series as a prequil or a reboot. I'm just guessing about this, but from what I've seen so far, this game mainly is featuring more a reboot-like style where there's no relation to the old game. (Although, since Hunter has been announced in the upcoming game for this series, I'm kind of unsure about considering this game to only being a reboot.)

In Dawn of the Dragon Spyro looks way older than in STD... So it's impossible TLoS is a prequel to STD...

Given how serious the LoS series in and the fact that only one person said it was a prequel (that person being from Krome, who no longer work on the game) and all other sources pointing to a series reboot, I'm pretty confident that it's a reboot. If DotD proves me wrong, I will be surprised...and extremely amused. I mean, really. You don't just go from "Doom, darkness, apocalypse!" to "Hey, who wants to play some cat hockey?"

^.^ at the last statement, Razz. Also, I'm almost sure Sierra has stated that it is meant to be a reboot. But I suppose we'll have to wait and see what the third game's ending brings. <.<

Well, I was unsure about this issue because of them bringing Hunter back into the game. And Hunter as a previous character in old, and new, Spyro kinds of lets me on an uneasy side to be sure whether it's a reboot or a prequil.

This topic has sprung up in so many places...I'm pretty sure it's a reboot, it has nothing to do with the old Spyro. And it wouldn't make any sense to make the sequel first, and do what Star Wars did.
And I don't reckon he looks older in DotD. The Old Spyro was a teen in SL, I think.
(And I really hope that it IS a reboot)

The old Spyro was actually about ten years old.

Considering that LoS Spyro is drastically different from Insomniac Spyro, why does everyone think that LoS Hunter is going to be the same as the old Hunter? Clearly, he isn't. He's far too serious and competent to be anything like the old Hunter.

Well, I'm not saying that he'll be any similar from the old games, "Razz". I'm just saying that because Hunter is in the new game, there's a little bit of uncertainty (for me at least) to whether it's a prequil or a reboot.

Side Note: And because of Hunter being in the game, multiple questions have sprung up in my head regarding to it being a prequil or a reboot.

Prequil Questions:
1.) If this is a prequil, then why is Hunter in the new game? (Since he wasn't anywhere in Spyro 1: The Dragon.)
2.) Because of Hunter being in the new game, what other characters might they introduce to the new game? (For example but not limiting to: Bianca, Agent 9, Bentley, Seargent Byrd, Sheila, Elora, Moneybags, Blink, etc.)
3.) If the game is a prequil, will there be any sort of link that causes Spyro to go to the Dragon Realms/Avalor/Forgotten Worlds? (Like a futuristic vision or something?)

Reboot Questions:
1.) If this isn't a reboot, then why is Hunter (from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage) said to be in this game? And when Spyro meets Hunter, will he be anything like he was from previous Spyro titles, or something completely new?
2.) If the game isn't going to link up/lead into past Spyro games, then how will the game end (since this is the last game in this series)?

Was he? I thought he was older than that...and I'm pretty sure the T.L.o.S Spyro was meant to be younger than old Spyro.

I think it's a sequal, perhaps many many eons after the original games.
because Voltere mentioned something about a different purple dragon named spyro....it would be nice if this was a sequal, then in a way it makes it so that the original is not being retold, but continued many many years down the road. and supose that this is true, that this series is part of the great spyro timeline. like how there are more than one Link in the Zelda timeline. and and what if "Time Fury" can go back in time? sweet!
that would be ausome! fighting with both ausome spyros! but it's just a pipe dream. all though the Spyro in the Movie poster seems to have more of the essence of the original Spyro than the Legend Spyro.

It is a reboot. Because at the first part of ANB you see Spyro's egg.
