Hi again, guys... How are you? I bet your energy is low because making this movie, but... I'm sure your spirit for making this movie is endless, right?

I am doing decent. it was a long month this week.

anyway Have some ideas for moves to be used throughout the movie by spyro and other characters we have to get this list done before any more progess on the script can continue.

also have a nice spyro meets dreadwing scene planned and have an interesting mental image that I need to get on paper or or digitally

anyway here are some attack ideas feel free to add to them remove them create new moves etc. HOWEVER the list must be complete before progress continues

Anyway I was thinking two different types of moves Elemental(firebreathing et cetara) and physical( "everybody was kung-fu fighting")

anyway there are a bunch of pictures of the elemental move concepts on the deviantart page already.

Convexity pulse

a purple homing ball of energy.

Convexity wave(aka purple power/thing that spyro uses to defeat cynder):

A devistating wave of energy that expands outward from the user that travels through walls.


as for physical moves

claw slash: diagonal slash at enemy with claws

tail whip: Quick sweep of the tail knocking opponents to the ground

Headbutt: a leap into the air then diving and knocking an opponent to the ground

Charge: a fast attack that knocks enemies over. can be used to knock large groups of enemies to the ground.

I don't think a bite attack would be a good idea because we want the dragons to seem sentient and the apes/monkey things be the animalistic semi-tribal bad guys.

anyway please add/expand on the physical moveset.

Flip combo...
Jump and use both front and rear leg to slash with claw...then finish off with tail smash

not sure what to add. :/ It looks like a good selection, but personally, i think spyro should simply use whatever moves comes to mind, instead of pre-determined techniques. It might help keep the battles more creative and interesting, even if it takes a bit longer to write it all out.

I was searching up on DarkSpyro and found a cynder model topic and that it was from the game! HIR gave the link to me so I could share it with you! Maybe if it is downloadable, you could make it look nicer! (like not ask blocky but more smooth)

Can't really do that. That would not be the brightest of ideas, and it would just be plain lazy. :/ I mean, using the in-game model for the movie? not a very good move, In my opinion. And I'm sure we'd have some pretty rough legal issues if we did that. Let's keep to what we ourselves can make. It's more professional that way.

There's no legal issues unless we sell the movie, which we wouldn't be able to do in the first place due to Spyro being copyrighted. Though, it is more proffesional if we make our own models, yet, we could borrow things from the models in the game to help us make our own models.

plus the one that I have been working off and on for nearly a month is way higher poly. plus I am not sure what is with all the weird vertiecies all over the model.

I'm not a pro with modeling or many 3D things (working on that) but I do work often with characters as in facial expressions and general rough ideas.

yes having sparx and his parents nina and flash would be wonderful.

either concept art or models of them would be wonderful.

I dunno what to do anymore.. I was a slacker with the script, which is now being taken care of, and I wasn't really doing anything else.. Hmm. Should I maybe just edit the script, maybe? Make it easier to read with all the collaborations? I honestly don't know. All I know is that I want to contribute somehow.

If you want to help edit and critique the script, I can use all the help that I can get.
