"www" In Website Address Confusion [CLOSED]

I was wondering how you could actually create a site that can be accessed in the World Wide Web. I've done a website before for a previous class last year, but the website wasn't anywhere on the web, and appeared to only be able to be accessed on my computer. So, for future reference, I'm asking you guys how to make a website that can be observed (like this one) on the World Wide Web (in case I need it for a future class or something).

All websites are accessable as long as you needn't a password. I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to make a website local. :/

This site? darkspyro.net? And because the url bar doesn't show the "www"? You don't have to type "www." to go to a website.

well i dont know if you already did this, but im pretty sure you need a host, to put your site on the internet, and by host i mean a server or something similar that stores you webpage so it is accessable to others, cause if its just on your computer said to a file, others won't beable to reach it because they cant open files on your computer or even see them, well unless they hackinto it, but its really hard to do that, but as i was saying, you need someone to host your website for it to be on the internet

^ Yeah...

I got about 1GB in text sites on my comp and i can view them... but you need to have 'Cyber Space' kinda thing...
