So, I'm starting a two-part fan-fic with the amazing awsome Spyro-Gamer! And yes I'm making a topic about it. Wooh! Okay, so here's the intro. It's basically set in my own imagination WAAY after Spyro..................................

y'know, just read the intro. Screw me explaining.

Tears of a Crystal
The Story of Kurtharis CrystalFury

Introduction: My Father’s Story

“Once upon a time, long after Spyro had defeated Malefor, the dark purple dragon, everything was normal. Evil seemed to have disappeared from the realms completely. Dragonkind lived in peace with one another for many years, unaware that evil had been festering and hidden amongst them, waiting for their moment to strike. At the time, a young hatchling was born. His name was Aretis CrystalFury, born to Xrail and Aurilis, leaders in the special Crystal Fury clan located on the hidden Island of Levismos. Dragons there specialized in light element, but by no means were they a warlike tribe. Such a tragedy it was that it was the epicenter of evil’s first strike.

A massive invasion occurred there led by an army of ruthless dark dragons who killed the Crystal Fury Clan. They wanted the secret power the island held, a secret that was long hidden for time immemorial. So many good dragons were killed that day, including valiant Xrail who was the Keeper of this secret treasure. But while the slaughter lasted, it wasn’t the end. Aurilis escaped with her last son, Aretis who held with him the treasure the darkness so dearly wanted. Alas, Aurilis died protecting Aretis from harm.

Aretis lived, growing up as a hunted outcast, barely surviving. He met many friends and faced many foes. But soon, it became clear that destiny wanted him alone. So alone he did walk his path, becoming stronger every day, facing renewed challenges and finally defeating the dark army that had slain his brothers and sisters. Once it was gone, he settled down with a friend he dearly loved. She is Starz, a dragoness with a sweet voice the light and electricity element and a brave fighter.

And then, here’s where I come in. My name is Kurtharis. Call me Kurth, please. I am the first son my dad and mother bore. Trained from hatchling to young drake in the arts of fighting and adventure up to my current 12 years in life. I’ve seen my share of battle, but it could never have prepared me for what would happen next. My sister was born seven years after me, Kiara, and for five years all was peaceful. We grew up on Levismos, which was newly refurbished and rebuilt by my dad. It’s lonely. We don’t get to see the world too often. I know why, but I’m not sure my sister knows. We don’t belong. My dad was more than just an outcast and a hunted prey. Much more. But enough about him, yes he is my hero, and yes he’s a great sparring partner. But, now, it’s my turn to shine. My name is Kurtharis. This is my story."

My turn! Yes, I am writing this story with my awesome friend Dragon-outcast. smilie

-I own Starz and Kiara and D-O owns Aretis and Kurth.-

Here's my little intro.

"My father made this island. It is to the east of Levismos, my father’s homeplace. There is a mountain in the middle of the island. It has many catacombs and passages that my father created for us. There is a lake with a forest surrounding it on the northern side, a bog on the south, and a grassy plain on the west, with forest covering everywhere else inbetween.
I live with my father Aretis, my mother Starz, and my brother Kurth. He is 5 years older than me and sometimes trains me when our parents are out hunting, or my father is on a mission.
My parents has told us many stories and adventures of their past. Some of them are very scary and some of them are romantic. Kurth doesn’t listen to the romantic stories though.
But about the island, we have it all to ourselves. No other dragons live here, just my family and I. Though it can get a little boring without any other dragons my age to play with, but Kurth usually plays with me.

But, enough about my family. It is my turn to have an adventure. My name is Kiara, and this is my story."

Here it comes, what you've all been waiting for! (Yeah, I know it's a disappointment. Sorry it's a bit short)

Chapter 1: Bored Beginning?

—— Slow breathing, soft sleeping. That is all I hear. My sister beside me, her light blue form lifting up, then down, up, down in perfect rhythm. I can’t sleep though. Must’ve gone to sleep too early. I sigh. Not like there was anything else to do but sleep. I do train, but I wish someone would spar with me. Mother doesn’t appreciate fighting too much, Dad’s always out doing missions, and Kiara is completely out of the question. Though, she is about the age I started to learn. The age I was thrust into a world of violence and loss. Why me? I know I’m gifted, and that Dad says I’m stronger than when he was my age but why me? I never wanted to fight! I never wanted to hurt anyone! And the thing is…my secret. Dad suspects, but isn’t sure. Only I know. A dark, dark secret I don’t want anyone to find out. I’d die before it was out even amongst my private family.

—— The darkness is still overwhelming, but Light Dragons can catch even the faintest strands of light with their eyes, making the dark seem not dark at all. My ivory scales need a little cleaning, I decide. So I slowly lift up myself from the round bed I share with Kiara and make my way to the water basin. A large basin filled with new clean water from a dragon-made stream every day. I take some and splash it onto myself and rub a little, then burn it off with a little light. There, good as new.

—— “Kurth?” A small voice says behind me. I gasp, surprised and fall into the basin. It was Kiara. I shake myself free from the basin spreading water everywhere, even on Kiara. Kiara squeals. “Hey!” I do a quick drying session. “Sorry Ki. Go back to sleep.” I say softly. She grins cheekily and shakes her head. “Not after you just splashing me!” I tried to hide my inward groan. “Well, I’ll sleep with you, okay? Just for a few more hours.” Kiara frowns. “Okay.” And we both go to bed. The light was brighter. Looks like the sun is coming up now. But still, a few hours won’t matter, right? Never before had I been so wrong. Soon we drifted to sleep, unaware, and not ready for what fate had in store for us that day, that would change our small lives forever.

—— Starz looked at the sun shining overhead. She blinked and decided to make something special for the breakfast. She knew how down the kids were about her husband being gone AGAIN. Even she was a little annoyed by it as well. Starz took flight from the top of her cave to the depths of the forest down below on the island of Levismos.

Yay! Here is Chapter 2.

Chapter 2: About to Change

Starz flew through the forest, darting through the trees to look for something to eat. After a few minutes of searching, she stopped and landed beside a small creek.
She looked around and saw a berry bush. “Hmm, that will do,” she murmured, beginning to pick some berries off the bush.

My brother Kurth lay beside me. He seemed to be asleep. But I wasn’t. I lay awake, staring at the rocky ground, wanting those ‘few more hours’ to pass, so Kurth would play with me. I sighed.
“Kiara, are you still awake?” A voice said.
I turned my head, seeing Kurth looking at me. “Yes,” I replied, sighing again.
“Kiara, you should get some rest…” Suddenly, he stopped and looked outside, his eyes narrowing.
“Kurth? What’s wrong?” I asked.
Kurth didn’t reply. He slowly walked out of the mouth of the cave and looked around. “I thought I heard something…” he murmured.

Starz was still picking berries when she heard a rustling noise in a bush across from her. She paused and slowly turned around, eyeing the bush suspiciously. The rustling came again. “Show yourself!” Starz said.
Suddenly, a black dragon walked out of the bushes. “Hello Starz,” it hissed.
“How do you know my name?” Starz asked.
“Why wouldn’t I know you? I know Aretis very well, so of course I know you.”
Starz growled. “What do you want?”
The black dragon didn’t reply. Instead he leapt onto Starz.
“Hey!” Starz yelled, dropping the berries and kicking him off her.
The black dragon grinned.
“Fine, if that’s what you want,” Starz growled again and shot a beam of light at him.
The dragon dodged and vanished.
“What the…?” Starz murmured.
The dragon reappeared behind Starz and scratched the back on her neck. “Hey!” Starz zipped around, but the dragon had vanished again. He reappeared in front of her and shot a darkness beam at her, sending her sprawling backwards.
Starz jumped up and fired some lightning bolts at him. The dragon dodged all of them. “How did you…?” Starz murmured.
The dragon teleported behind her again. Starz zipped around. “Bye bye,” the dragon grinned and slashed her across the face, sending her flying sideways and straight into a tree. Starz slumped to the ground, defeated. She looked up, seeing the black dragon fly off before falling unconscious.

Kurth was at the mouth of the cave, looking around outside.
“Kurth, it was probably nothing,” I said, “come back inside.” But Kurth stood there, like a statue, slowly turning his head from side to side.
I jumped out of bed and walked over to him. “Kurth, come on.” I grabbed his tail with my mouth and pulled. But Kurth didn’t move.
Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound. Kurth must’ve heard it too as he turned his head in that direction.
Suddenly, a huge dark dragon walked out of the bushes and over to us. Kurth tensed and stood in front of me protectively, growling.
"This should be easy," the dragon said. "With your mummy and daddy gone, there's no one here to protect you." He looked straight at me and grinned evilly. "Time to say goodbye."

Chapter 3 is HERE! BATTLE SCENE COMMENCE!! WOOH! Ehehe, sorry, I'm excited.

Chapter 3: First Blood, to Bitter Defeat; Is it Over?

——- “Who are you?” I called to the dark dragon. The dragon smiled evilly. “I suppose you should know the name of your killer. I am Vrathx.” He growled and swaggered up closer. Kiara squeaked. “Kurth!” She backed up. I looked back and smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry sis, your brother has this.” He looked back, crouching.
“Oh does he now? Ha! How wrong you are…” Vrathx stepped closer still. Baring my fangs I said. “I’ll give you one chance. Leave now, or there might be consequences.” I roared. Vrathx nodded. “Oh, definitely. Like…this?” He shot forward, and I didn’t even see him coming. Vrathx’s claw was suddenly on my chest digging past my scales and into my flesh. He flung Kurth into the cave wall, blood pouring out of his wound. A searing fire penetrated my mind radiating from the wounds. I yelled in pain. “Aagh!” I groaned. Kiara gasped in horror and fright. “Kurth!” She yelled and tried to scamper over to me. Vrathx grinned. “Aww, does little sissy want to save da big brother. I don’t think so.” His voice dripped with poison as he spat a giant glob of red acid. Kiara saw it coming but was locked with fear, closing her eyes. I growled and lunged forward, protecting my sister and pushing her out of the way. A quick shield and the acid splashed onto my light shield. The shield disintegrated, but the acid was gone. I used a technique my dad taught me and covered my body in a special light shield. It plastered itself over the wounds so I wouldn’t bleed anymore. “You DARE try to hurt her!” I roared angrily. My fury rose up, I was bottling the rage inside, I had to bide my time. One quick blow, and it might, just might work. Now that I sensed his power from the claw attack, he was way above my level. But still, maybe I could pull this off. Just maybe.
“Oh yes, I dare. After I kill you, I’ll make sure she dies in the most agonizingly painful way possible.” The black dragon grinned. I rolled in front of Kiara protectively. “Well, I won’t let you!” He roared. “Take this! Hiyah!!!!”

——- I let out my anger, my fury. Normally, I would’ve turned dark, a Dark Kurtharis. But no, I learned to control and channel it into a different source. The opposite side of dark. My rage built up to a climax and I started crying. I wouldn’t let him! I’d never let him in all my 14 dragon years of life. But I can’t win. Well, at least I might buy her time. My scales began to change. They turned pointed as if they were just sharpened immensely. They flashed, the yellow tint in my scales fading. Silver replaced it. Beautiful furious silver. My horns turned the color of gold and grew longer instantly. A new horn emerged with the same color on my forehead, sticking out like a unicorn’s. The wave-like spines on my back were transformed into an awesome turquoise aqua color. My claws were black as obsidian, black as night. I had become the one thing I loved and feared most. A true Crystal Fury. The level only our species could reach so quickly in such a short time. I am Kurtharis, Radiant Crystal Fury. My tears flew upward now by the heated aura. I lunged with my new speed…

——- Starz growled awaking from her black out. She saw the black dragon flying toward the mountain. "Oh no you don't!" She roared. "Not my children!" And sped off, easily catching up with the slow flier and slamming him onto the ground. The other dragon was grayish black with ragged scales and wing membrane, horns curled upward and a sinister aura around him. The dragon said nothing, but retaliated, in a double slashing motion. Starz deftly dodged sliding her claws around and scraping the scales of the dragon. They were pretty tough and didn’t go through. Still, the dragon roared and shot a blast of darkness. Starz shot a beam of light to deflect it, but instead of coming into contact, the dark beam seemed to envelop the light beam and then envelop Starz in a sickly dark membrane. Starz grunted, founding she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t move! Starz fought desperately for control, her mind running faster. Starz charged up what energy she could and pushed light out of her scales, expelling it in all directions. The membrane was pushed back. Starz grunted, adding more and more power when it popped! Light zapped everywhere around the two combatants making a circle of fire. The dragon hissed in annoyance. Suddenly a large sound was heard. Starz gasped. The aura came from Kurth! He was fighting someone! Oh no! Starz lunged to get in the air but the grey dragon latched onto her and bit down on the base of her left wing. Starz roared in pain and lashed out trying to get him off her. But the dragon had a death grip on her. Starz roared with a mother’s fury, light enhancing her claws and she was tearing the body of that grey dragon to bits but still he held on, weighing her down and rendering her useless to fly as he bit as hard as he could. But the world was dimming for him. He was dying. Starz roared in pain and with a deft blow, beheaded the dragon clean through. Starz panted and then tried to take flight. But with her wing, she couldn’t and the head was still holding on in a death grip. “Oh crap…” She muttered. Starz lumbered as fast as she could through the thick forest.

——- I furiously attacked, shooting blinding beams of energy from my paws, twirling into a double hindleg slash and twisting into a horn ram mid air. But still, Vrathx had the upper hand. The advantage of surprise and quickness was lost. I knew I’d lose now. Vrathx easily diffused the beams and fought equally just as well against me. Ugh, no! He had already won. Vrathx caught through my defenses and slashed through my shields, slamming me back against the wall. I grunted, falling. Vrathx wasn’t finished with me yet though. He slammed an uppercut claw right into the same place before, tossing me up, then appearing as I was going upward and slamming his claws on my bac. I roared in agony. He zoomed down again and hit me with a lashing tail against the wall and at Kiara’s feet. She was stunned, her face pale. My color diminished back to a yellowish tint. The horns had gone back to their normal length and the unicorn horn disappeared. I was reverted back, out of power, and a bloody mess. I felt myself fading conscious. Never before had I been beaten so badly. I had underestimated Vrathx from the beginning, and it proved to be my downfall. But there was no time for regret now. I looked up at Kiara, who looked down upon me her eyes streaming with tears. I blinked. “Kiara, you must run…I’m sorry…I couldn’t protect you.” He said in faint voice. “T–take the last of me. I’ll whisk you far away. Kiara, goodbye.” I whispered, my eyes dimming as well.
