Actually, the PS1 was one of the first few systems that came out. And, without these first few game systems, there wouldn't have ever been a Wii, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advance, a PS2, a PS3, Gamecube, X-Box, or X-Box 360 ever existing!!!! So, despite it's "old" age (the game is only about 9 years old, which isn't that old, in my opinion, for a game), I actually like these games.
Side Note: When you say "original" in your previous post, do you mean that these were the systems that you grew up with or something????

Seeing as how the PS1 three games were the original Spyro series, I see a flaw in your logic.

Yes, what Razz said.
And SpyroGamer2008 is right too. Apart from the fact that he wrote it's where there should've been its (I'm very grammar worthy), I 100% agree. If you mean 'original' as in they were better and they had loads of unique stuff, then I can't argue with that, but I doubt that's what you mean and I therefore correct you by saying that the PS1 Spyro games were original.

Not really. PS1 is a part of the fifth generation of consoles, which means there where loads of consoles before it.

Yeah, but those systems had to be created before all of these new systems that we have nowadays (PS3, Wii, and X-Box 360) couldn't have been created without those companies coming up with the ideas for consoles, and creating those. But, I do agree with you, "Spyrogon". Those systems wouldn't have ever have had a chance to have been thought up without all of the first gaming systems that came out long before them.

The original trilogy of Spyro games are my favourites; I also like Attack of the Rhynocs, and Season of Flame and A Hero's Tail are both alright. I've never played The Legend of Spyro, simply because I've moved on to other series and can't afford to keep up with Spyro, although I hear that the TLOS games are pretty good, so I might try them out oneday...
However, Season of Ice was very flawed, Enter the Dragonfly was a disaster, The Cortex Conspiracy was lame, and Shadow Legacy just didn't interest me... But thats just my personal opinion. I loved the original Spyro games because of what they were, not just because they were Spyro... I'm not the sort of person who loves a game just because "it's Spyro!". |
