A Weird Feeling... [CLOSED]

After you see Meadow for the first time in avalar, when you exit the cave he's in the music changes... but it makes me feel like im a dragon... has this happened to you?

Admittedly, I do find this game can immerse me to about that extent at times, especially in the Valley of Avalar, Burned Lands, and The Floating Islands.

There's a level in Tomb Raider II named Floating Islands, and the level looks pretty much the same as the one in Dawn of the Rings, only it's a lot darker and complicated, there's nothing at the bottom, and these floating statues come after you, and if you fall off the edge you're done for.

Dear God I love Tomb Raider 2.


Tomb Raider 1 is my favourite. I don't really like the others on the PS, they're a bit complicated to me and too much the same, but they're okay I guess, I really like Legend and Anniversary. Underworld was okay.

Agreed. I only like the first two Tomb Raiders, and the first one's my favorite. :P I played the prequel as well (I think it was TR: The Last Revelation), although it wasn't as enjoyable (but still cool).
I want Legend. ;-; The only other TR game I've played is Angel of Darkness (I have a few others, though), which is meh.

Oh, and also on topic, I never had that feeling before. I wish I did, it seems cool.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation isn't a prequel, it's a sequel to Tomb Raider III. It starts off in Lara's past, then goes into the present shortly afterwards. It's only the first two levels that are before Tomb Raider.

Angel of Darkness is like Enter the Dragonfly to me.

Ah, it is? I thought it was a prequel! My apologies.
The last time I got really far in it was when I was a kid, so I must've forgot.

I never got very far in Angel of Darkness. :l Is it glitchy?

I'm pretty sure that Chronicles is the prequel as that goes back into her past a lot at different times in her life, but also returns to the present in cutscenes.

I've completed Angel of Darkness, it's very glitchy, slow and the controls are a mess.

Answer to your first question: Realistically I really doubt it.

Also, it's great that you have this feeling, it must be really nice to literally escape day to day life like that. You must have a good imagination to be able to feel like this.

I've had awesome feelings with games like GTA, and Tomb Raider, even with the earlier Spyro games at some point. It doesn't come often though.

DotD is on of those games that can really suck me in at times.
Nothing does it better than Sonic Generations for me though, and I only played the demo. smilie

Also, Final Fantasy games and some other explorative games really draw me in too.

Meh, not really, although I adore the music in the game it doesn't really give me the vibe of being a dragon. Maybe a little. At least not like I feel like an assassin playing Assassin's Creed. smilie

I think I know what you mean, this happens to me too. DoTD and Halo 3 are the only games where I get so immersed that I forget that I'm not in the game..... I hope that's a good thing.....
