Skylanders Universe Meetup Event [CLOSED]

I know I'm new around here, but I thought I'd throw this out there... We should totally have a get-together in Skylanders Universe. smilie

What would happen:
1: Use a tinychat.com chat to converse with each other despite where we are in game.
2. Meet up on the Mainland as your favorite skylander at a certain time and all add each as friends.
3. Visit each others' islands and show off your upgrades, modifications and whatnot.
4. Maybe have a contest and all vote on who has the best looking island base.
5. Perhaps have some minigame competitions, if anyone's interested.
6. Have a good ol' time!


I think it would be good to wait for the next wave of toys to come out, which won't be for another month or so (giving us plenty of time to pimp out our islands), and hopefully the site will be out of Beta by then.

Questions, comments, suggestions?

I think time zones could mess this up.

I'm not sure if this would work.

I don't think everyone shows up on the same mainland. There seem to be different servers, I'm not sure if it's fixed or what. But I can't see my friend if we're on the mainland at the same time. Heck I can't even add him as a friend, it worked yesterday and then he disappeared from my list again today. We don't see each others friend requests either. : /

Of course. So we figure out what time zone the majority is in and base it on that, while making sure as many people can attend as possible. I'm thinking a weekday evening, maybe around 9 or 10 Eastern would be good, so most people would out of work/school/class in any time zone, while not messing with anyone's weekend night plans. There will be plenty of notice in advance.

That's why I said hopefully it'll be out of Beta by then. Couldn't hurt to try regardless.

OH actually, I was able to see him when I was on his skyland. So maybe if we could add you as a friend before hand we could possibly all meet up on your skyland? That might work better if it's not out of Beta by that time.

Most of my Skylanders are now up to at least level 4 or 5.
