◇Chapter eight◇
"Are you CRAZY! Its bad enough you got yourself in the dungeons earlier on today, now you want back in there?"
"No, and besides, the last bit of information is in there and I want to see it!"
"So you two can't wait until morning?"
Me and Vexcity looked at eachother. We wanted to know why it was so important for that one Shadow species information to be in the Warfang museum. And we couldn't wait.
"Flame, the patrolie is about to go on a fifteen minute break. Thats all the time we need. We need you to stand watch, distract him if he comes back early." Vexcity made it sound so easy, but really, it'd be as tough as eating a fish and not managing to choke on any bones.
"Well I don't know- are you sure you can pull it off?"
"No, but its worth a shot." I winked at Phinex and Vexcity smiled.
"Alright, I'll help. But if it goes wrong, I'm not part of it."

We waited quietly around the back of the museum, once the patrolie would leave, we'd head in. We waited for about ten minutes before he flew off back to the dungeons, blowing out the torches with the air pressure of his wings as he flew past.
"Ok, you have about fifteen minutes until he comes back from his break. It should give you enough time to find it and have a descent look at it." I nodded and took off into the air after Vexcity, who was already on the roof waiting.
When I alighted on the roof, she was scanning the tiles for something. "Now by the way these tiles have been layed, there should be a weak spot right- about.....Here." She pressed her foot down onto the bricks and pushed them out through the ceiling, obliterating as they hit the floor below. Vexcity placed a few more bricks to the side before she jumped through and glided down to the museum floor, hitting the ground as light as a feather.

The museum was dark, but i knew my way around. Shelves and stands stacked with fossils, gems, and bones of extinct creatures sat upon them. The Warfang museum also held some of the greatest books written by dragons and others. Such as the Chroniclers book someone found on a island. Another was the book of the dragon language, a book of translations for the dragonic speakers.
"It has to be in this part of the museum. Where else would they put it?" Vexcity said, rummaging through papers on a shelf.
"There! There it is!" I pointed at a crinkled, dust covered bit of paper. Vexcity had no time to see what I was pointing at, as I was already charging toward it.... Well until we heard more footsteps entering the room. "Aurilla. We need to speak to you." I stopped dead in my tracks. No one had called me by my full name in years. And I reconized the voice. It was Tremorous, but why was he here? He must've come back from the fight. They might not have needed him. I knew how he would've known me to be in here..... Phinex.... I spun around, anger filled me for Phinex telling them we were in here..... That was of course, before I saw the expression on his face. His eyes were watered, and he looked at me as if to say. "I'm sorry." But not for telling him I was in here. No, this was something else. Tremorous had an alike expression too. This made me gulp and shiver. "Whats going on?" I said looking at all the dragons around me, sharing similar expressions. Tremorous sighed. "Its about your family.....Something happened.....Something, terrible."

◇Chapter nine◇
They're pulling a prank I told myself.
They HAVE to be
I looked back at the piece of crinkled paper; wondering if I should listen to Tremorous. I wasn't going to, but then I took one more look at all the faces; Phinex whispered something to Vexcity, soon sharing the same look as everybody else. Then, It dawned on me, I recognized their expression, It was the 'I'm sorry for your loss' look. Then I remembered what Tremorous had said;" Something happened to your family....Something terrible."
I attempted to make sense of it, eventually answering. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
"It was late," Tremorous began. "No one saw it coming, - no one,"
"What do you mean, get to it." I answered impatiently.
" The Shadows attacked our camp late last night,"
"But you only left a couple of nights ago!" I exclaimed.
" I know, let me continue. There were so many, all of the Shadowous species were there. They came in so fast, we merely escaped....If it wasn't for your family." He paused.
"-For my family?"I echoed.
" Your family is dead; they didn't make it out alive."
" You-" I paused ; I thought it was a joke, but Freedom Fighters don't joke about leaders dying to scare people.
"-No, there must be a mistake..... They can't be-" Vexcity stopped me.
"-I'm sorry Aura."
My eyes welted with tears; I gasped for air as my head became dizzy. I could no longer handle the fact that everybody was looking at me.
" Stop staring at me!" I yelled at the top of my voice; speeding through the air for the nearest exit.

The wind was blood chilling cold; but I didn't care. I was flying as fast as I could out of Warfang. I didn't care if the patrolies came after me, I wouldn't let them stop me.
I looked behind and saw nothing but the fading walls of Warfang. And I was going to keep going until I collapsed.
I sped over Avalar, seeing a small fire begin to burn out and reignite from nothing. "You're family is dead." The words ran laps through my head, jumping over the hurdles I planted in the way to get the thought out of my mind. I can't stop; I have to keep them ALIVE. I said to myself. Looking forward was hard; my vision blurred from the tears spouting from my eyes. I never saw the tree coming until a searing pain ran through me as I knocked every bit of air out of me on a branch.
I fell like a rock to the ground below; my chest in pain, me gaping for air. But I didn't stop. I couldn't.
I ran through the forest, tripping over rocks, cutting myself on branches and thorn bushes I could not see.
The rain fell through the valley; straight into my face; causing me to put my head to the side.
I broke through the last shrub and came out into an opening; but before I could bring myself to a halt; I found myself falling down a cliff-face, with ground below.
I flapped my wings as hard as I could; but they were numb from the freezing rain. I closed my eyes as the ground neared; I hit the ground hearing numerous pops and cracks before I felt light as everything turned dark.....
