Sentimentally, they're priceless.
Realistically, maybe a few dollars. |

Go look on Amazon, and eBay, and find out for yourself, I'm pretty sure that's what a lot of people would do.

You can get the Spyro Collection, which contains the original 3 games, for around $30 on Amazon or eBay.

Really? They didn't release the platinum PAL versions as a set? That's a shame.

I'd check ebay. I wouldn't pay more than 10 bucks. There's a lot of them too, so you probably wouldn't have to wait long for that.
That collector edition is getting to be pretty rare and expensive.

I know, we don't get the Collectors' edition, or anything on PSN store, well, only for a year maybe, but our versions have problems, and I don't think that who ever ported it to the PSN can be bothered to fix it. |

Also, should i get a ps3? I've been thinking of getting one for a while, and it sounds like a good idea so i can play some of my favorite ps1 games again, but i'm not sure?

At a local game store where they sale old games, there were both games for only five dollars each.

I don't believe the modern PS3 can play PS1 games. I think only the older first models are backwards compatible. It was the one where you can install linux on it. You can find them on ebay by searching something like "PS3 backwards compatible." Here's some information on Sony's website: http://us.playstation.com/support/compatiblestatus

Don't get a PS3 unless there are a lot of new games you want to play on it. If you want to play PS1 discs, get a PS2.

If you want the actual discs, they could cost up to $90 new, or as little as $2 used.
Or if you have a PSP and you live in North America, you can download them off of PSN for just $6 each. |

My Dad owns an older PS3 and if you can find 60GB, it can play most PS1 games, I can play Spyro PS games but they don't run all that great, say I pressed the X button to jump, it would take it at least 2 or 3 seconds that I have pressed that button and for the action to occur, I don't normally like to play my PS1 or PS2 games on there, as it is very unresponsive for the most part. You'll be a lot safer and cheaper to get a PS2 that will run both PS and PS2 games, unless you're interested in playing newer games then by all means get a PS3. With the older PS3 consoles, the other versions of GB do not play PS and PS2 games at all, I've heard a rumour from a staff member in a Game store that the newer PS3 consoles do play PS games, but not PS2 games, I don't know if it will play them very well though. Why does Sony have to make things so ****ing complicated? If they make a PS4, then dear Sony, make it backwards compatiable!!! It's supposed to have all this power and memory, yet Sony decide not to use it at all. And decide to confuse people by making it not backward compatiable without even telling them, talk about ignorant. |
