She dipped her fingers in the small pool of water, creating small ripples. Her delicate hand emerged from the smooth surface, sand sliding from her fingers. Footsteps behind her made the water splash around. She plunged her hand into the water and grasped something that was hidden under sand. A shadow came out of the darkness and grabbed her. She reached over and bit him, and he let go just long enough for her to escape his grasp. But when she was leaving, the item she had in her hand fell out of her reach, and she didn't realize it. But the man didn't find her. Or the beautiful necklace that was her mother's.

Well, my sister and I were walking through the woods, the long way home. I was pretty sure we were going the right way home, until I noticed the look on my sister Tori's face. She looked confused. It was pretty dark out already, and I wasn't sure anything that I saw was familiar. We saw a light ahead of us. I nudged Tori, and she nodded. I ran ahead a while. A big tree stood on the side of the dirt path. I sat under it, panting from the heat. Tori was running also, her eyes wide. `"Run!" She mouthed, unable to speak. I ran, without saying a word. I knew something was up. Tori wasn't easily scared like this. I thought I saw something flying in the background, but I was probably imagining things. It had to be after 9:00 already. We approached an opening, where the light was. My eyes were definately fooling me. Because in the middle of the clearing, with wide eyes watching our every move, was a dragon...

She was a beautiful blue/silver color, and her big eyes were wide in horror. We were all stunned for a moment, until we heard the man again. Even the dragon jumped up. She tried to run, but stumbled, and fell facefirst into a large pool of water. I noticed she had no wings...which was suspicious. She had little things poking out of her shoulders. Her eyes had gone back to normal sized, while mine and Tori's had almost doubled in size. What was chasing us? Why was it chasing us? Was the dragon real, or was it just a dream?

"Who are you?" The dragon spoke in a raspy voice. I was speechless. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. Tori helped her up, but she looked like she was about to faint. "Thank you." The dragon said.
"I'm Tori," My sister said. "That's Macy. She's my sister. What's your name?"
"My name is Silverstream. Oh no- Who's following you?"
"I don't know, some man. Why?" I said, finally able to speak.
"Oh, we have to go. NOW!" Silverstream said, Getting ready to run.
"Wait, we should have been home hours ago! We need to go, now. I'm sorry, Silverstream, but we can't stay and help." Tori said, walking in the other direction. "Come on, Macy."
"But, Tori, I want to stay and help. Please?" I told her. It was partly true. But I kind of wanted to go home, where I was safe, but I didn't want to leave Silverstream.
"Why? You know how mad Mom and Dad will be if we come home late." Tori said. She kept walking. But instead of thinking about Silverstream, I was thinking about Tori, Would she really go, or would she stay and help Silverstream?
