How do you play this game in a different language???? [CLOSED]

I've seen several of LydiaDragon's videos on Youtube, and every time on the first 3 Spyro games when the title screen opens up, there's always a little English icon with arrows underneath the screen. I'm just curious how you can do this in the game. And, if it's possible, which version of the game it can be preformed on.

My version requires me to select a language at the title screen before the main menu will appear, I'm not sure what version I have though.

Mine doesn't for some reason. It just says "Press Start" at the title screen. I have the American version, though.

I have GTG that I assume is the UK version which I recieved around 1998-9, so I guess that could be a key difference. Although I don't much care for the other languages anyway, I can only read/speak english.
