Quoting people right above them [CLOSED]

I'm kind of getting annoyed that people keep on making massive quote chains and just quote the person right above them, even though it's totally pointless.

Would it be considered a disruptive post?

Not really.

After a few quotes the top quote disappears, I think the most people you can quote, with the type of quote you're talking about, is four or five. I'm not sure though, but the quotes do disappear instead of getting bigger and bigger, the only way it would be disruptive is if people are quoting large wall spam or something like that I'm guessing.

>matesds: Suggest a feature this instant.

OK, thou'll have to do it.

New feature: Replace qoute of post directly above it with INB4, have underlined with dots and on mouse-over display a infobox with meaning.

There, done.

Or a ninja guard, I've seen that on one forum where if someone posted between you refreshing the page and you posting it will warn you to read what they said and edit your message accordingly.

If you get ninja'd, the post(s) that ninja you are yellow, letting you know what was posted before you did. A ninja guard isn't really necessary.

WELL I GUESS POSTING IN ALL CAPS IS OK NOW, BECAUSE YOU STILL WOULDN'T NOTICE IT COMPARED TO POINTLESS QUOTATION.
If you don't believe me, test it out between me and CAV.

Posting in caps is like pointless quotation: There's no rule against it, but you will be called out for it.

What was the point of replying to a suggestion that was answered two months ago to milk a joke from the last two posts?

I usually quote above someone when I think I'm going to be ninja'd (usually with a very new reply), thus evading confusion.

It's not really much of a habit for me.

I believe that was the joke. A form of irony.
