i think his name is malefor
because the moutain of malefor(if is his mjoutain,obviously he can put his name on it...)

Eragon is the name of a book, the very first Elf Dragon Rider (in the book), and the name of the main character in the book; not a dragon. TT Sorry, I just hate it when people do that with the series of book.

Anyway, we probably won't know the names of the Chronicler and Dark Master for two reasons:

They think too highly of themselves to have 'normal names'

The guys making the games won't be bothered to think of names.

I have searched my name book and here are some names that I like and their meanings:

Nadiv (noble one),
Parsifal (warrior of fire),
Reeves (steward),
Saadya (he who helps the Gods),
Seth (the apointed one),
Stavros (crowned with laurel leaves),
Ulysses (Wrathful or angry one),
Val (power and might)

I particularly like "Val" because it's simple yet somehow menacing and because of its meaning. I also think Malefor is an interesting idea, I never thought of it.

Val is a good one because it describes DM. He has unlimited power but his use of it is......uncanny.

In "Hand of Darkness" I have him calling himself Brand (since he thinks he will be the light bringer to a new world), but that isn't his real name. It's possible that he's forgotten his name by the time of DH and he really does just go by Dark Master now. I guess we'll see.
