Okay, Contest 1: I want you to draw Bramble the Dragon! Original Fan-Character.

Contest 2: I want you to draw Spyder's death scene! HOORAY!
(put in spoiler because of violence and much blood)



You can put your characters in someplace, if you want, but the Scene or Bramble must be the main focus.

NOTE: Contest End Date is currently July 3. Need more time and I'll lengthen it.

Well then, I think I'll enter. I'd like to draw Bramble, but I'll need to know a bit more about him/her (I don't know whether Bramble's a male or female). What is his/her personality, what does he/she like to do, and what are his/her powers?

Ah, yes. Silly me.
Bramble is Male, and the brother of Spyder. He and his brother are known as the Brothers of Balance, and have equal power. Bramble is like the Yin of Yin Yang (I get mixed messages on which side is the side of light! ), and is a positive dragon with little darkness. His personality is that he is active, friendly, kind, and outgoing. He has a mate, named Cherry Blossom, and expects to have a son soon.
Bramble's activities are limited due to his job of debating with his brother. His duty is to keep Spyder in check in order to keep balance.
His powers are that he can bring light to darkness, and his Element is Spirit (Spirit has two main forms: Spirit Flame is a blue-purple fire, Spirit Energy sends small orbs of energy blasting from the user's jaws and at a specific target).

This looks interesting. I may try doing both contests.

Hmm... This is a weird question, but can Spyder trigger the darkness in other dragons (if they met him, for instance)?

He rarely even leaves his cave (which is hidden), so that would be a rare incidence, but yes. He can influence the darkness inside others, and force them to go into their Darkforms. This is his power of Illusion. Only Bramble can stand this power without changing into a Darkform, for he has none.

Soooo .... YEAH!

Well, I know you said that Bramble had to be the main focus, but could I draw my dragon Istar in his dark form (after meeting Spyder) fighting Bramble? That's the only idea I have right now.

Yeah, sure. Just remember to have Bramble have something that draws the attention to him, and remind us what the contest is.

Hmm... Okay, I've got an idea. And you're welcome!

Okay, I've got two more questions before I start my entry. First, what colors are Bramble? I can't tell from your picture (sorry)! And second, since I was going to draw Bramble fighting Istar (my dragon) in his dark form, I need to know; would Bramble even fight back? Or would he try to avoid fighting and snap Istar out of it?

Colors:

Main Body - gray
Wing Tip: dark gray
Markings - a lime/neon green
Horns, Tail tip, and Wing Membrane - dark blue
Eyes - light blue
Ring - brass

As for the battle, Bramble would fight back if Istar was threatening his life. If not, then he would probably wear out his opponent by evading and blocking, and then would run away.

I'm trying to think on what I should draw for the Bramble contest. Maybe him fighting?

A lot of people like to draw fight scenes!

But, anyway, A fight scene is perfectly fine. any scene, really. If you want, I can give some choices for you. Maybe one will spark your interest.

Give me some choices.

1) A Love scene between Cherry Bloom (his mate) and Bramble
2) Bramble being confused by his Mute Gate-Guard, Earth's Power
3) A fight Scene between Bramble and Spyder (or any other dragon, for that matter)
4) Bramble meeting Spyro or Cynder or Sparx or somebody and being all confused
5) Bramble just standing there, doing nothing.

Cool cause I only do traditional art but I completly fail at coloring....... And I'm pretty positive u can tell its them...

This is my drawing of Spyders death its after Spyder died and Bramble is well......crying and placing a paw on his brothers lifless corpse..........
My scanner was too big for the paper and it has this huge blank chunk on it so just ignore that.
i hav to fix it cause it posted sideways!

Ok fixed it and sry about the length of Brambles horn i just got......distracted. Anyway yes that is a moon and yes that is moonlight shining down if u can see it.

yah i just noticed Bramble looks......fat.......ugh im horrible sry for making him look fat!
