Author's Note: Remember that Skylanders mixes between the real world and the game world with the toys, so the story's going to be a little realistc.
Skylanders: Spyro the Dragon
Within a world where magic and dragons coexist, the protector of this fantastic world was in a period of peace. This hero was widely known in his land as Spyro.
He was a young purple dragon, who came from a rare line of magical purple dragons in his world. He had been on many exciting adventures in the past, accompanied by his close companion, yellow dragonfly by the name of Sparx. These two were an oddly matched pair of friends the world has never seen.
"Come on, Sparx! Race you to the fields!" Spyro challenged, a mischievous spark gleamed in his red eyes, as the young purple dragon dashed across the meadow. The yellow dragonfly hovered beside his companion, having no difficulty keeping up.
As the two friends raced, they drew near a flock of sheep that were grazing in the fields before them. A sheep noticed Spyro and Sparx coming, and it wailed loudly in alarm. The flock of sheep immediately scattered in fear, allowing Spyro and Sparx to continue their race through the meadow. The two friends proceeded across the hills until the purple dragon dashed ahead of his dragonfly companion and reached their finish line.
"I won!" Spyro grinned, dragging his feet until he came to a complete stop.
Sparx flew into Spyro's line of sight and he buzzed in a irritated tone at the young dragon.
Spyro smirked, "Oh come on, Sparx. I'm sure you'll beat me next time."
The yellow dragonfly buzzed at Spyro again, this time in a softer tone.
"Uh right." Spyro responded with a small shrug.
A faint rumble emited faintly from a distance, causing both Spyro and Sparx to look to where the sound came from. Omnious storm clouds appeared above the land, slowly covering the sun in a dark shade. The clouds crackled and streamed with magic, signaling an approaching threat.
Spyro and Sparx began to grow weary as if they knew something bad was happening. As the strange storm clouds began to stretch across the sky, covering the land in darkness, a billow of darkness appeared before Spyro, and a dark, humanoid figure stepped out from it, leering down at Spyro.
"Who are you?" Spyro demanded, stepping back a good distance from the figure and growled as he readied himself for a fight; Sparx hovered closely by his purple companion's side.
The dark figure only chuckled evilly, "I am Kaos, your future ruler of this world. So, you're this world's protector... I expected someone more...larger. No matter, your presence will be no longer needed."
"What are you mean?" Spyro questioned.
"You shall see..." Kaos grinned, sending a strange chill down Spyro's spine. With a flick of his hand, a wave of dark magic pulsed forth and began covering the land in a cold shadow.
Suddenly, a deafening crack! A surge of energy struck towards the earth, right for Spyro.
Before he can react, a wave of dark magic swept against Spyro, causing him to rear up on his hind legs in recoil, nearly knocking him off balance as he struggled to fight against the surge of evil. The sudden burst of magic caused Sparx to be swept away into the distance as he was caught off-guard, buzzing loudly in distress as he was separated from Spyro.
"Sparx!" Spyro exclaimed, looking back to where Sparx disappeared to. He then turned back towards Kaos with a snarl, his red eyes glaring up at the dark Portal Master. Without Sparx with him, Spyro is defenseless.
Sneering wickedly, Kaos conjured another sudden wave of dark magic toward Spyro, and the force was so powerful, that it sent the purple dragon spiraling aimlessly into the air. The young purple dragon yelled as he was hurled right into the darkness of the mysterious storm, unable to control himself to stop spinning. As he spiraled uncontrollably, the evil magic coated Spyro in a red glow, and his body shrunk into a small size until it stopped. The red glow coating Spyro vanished, and the purple dragon was turned into a mere toy standing on a magic pedestal.
The Spyro toy practically dropped to the ground, and the sounds of thunder boomed loudly, almost telling the world that its hero and protector was defeated.
An evil laughter filled the air, as Kaos saw that the protector of this world was out of the way. With another burst of magic, he proceeded to loom overhead across the world of dragons, covering it in shadow. As his world was covered in darkness, Spyro's toy-like state was swept away by the dark magic of Kaos, as the evil entity simply banished the purple dragon out of his world through a portal before it closed behind him.
Spyro was left floating in the darkness, trapped in his toy form, drifting aimlessly into the unknown. His world, his home, and his friends. What will happen to them? He had to get free, but he found himself unable to. The purple dragon was imprisoned completely, frozen in toy form.
After drifting what it seemed like an eternity in the dark abyss, Spyro's toy form soon landed the hands of a young human. This human, using some unknown power, made Spyro's imprisoned form glow in a white light. After a few seconds, the toy floated out of the human's hands and hovered above him.
A bolt of lightning struck, and Spyro emerged from his toy form with a screech, standing on solid ground. The purple dragon looked about, confused by his surroundings before he laid his eyes on the one who freed him. The young human explained to Spyro that he is a Portal Master, a being who can control heroes who are the protectors of their worlds. He then explained that Kaos, an evil Portal Master who Spyro encountered earlier, is aiming to control other worlds and has ejected the heroes of those worlds from their home the same way how Kaos banished Spyro from his.
Hearing this, Spyro agreed to help the young Portal Master to help save his world, and the other worlds from Kaos' rule. The young Portal Master smiled, and both the human and the young purple dragon began their adventure, travelling towards an unknown as their first destination.
It would be a journey that Spyro and thirty-one other remarkable characters who are the protectors and heroes of their own world will embark, to save their home and world from Kaos, the rogue Portal Master. It would be an epic voyage for these wonderful Skylanders, and it would be Spyro's adventure like no other.
