Just some chapters that didn't make it into the original story but have a lot to do with the story.
Ch.1 pt.1 (takes place during chapter 35)
Tundra's Birthday
Tundra dragged his sweaty worn out body out of the training room and into the showers after another tiring day with Brohn. He pulled the lever to one of the showers that instantly began pouring water onto him. Once he had cleaned himself completely off he dried off with his towel and walked out to see Murghus just walking in, sweating as well. "Master Tundra. I assume your training went well?" he asked.
"Indeed Murghus. It always does with Brohn." Tundra answered.
"Yes, he is a great dragon. Speaking of him, he asked me to inform you that your training is canceled for tomorrow. Enjoy your day off." Murghus said as he walked into his shower.
Tundra stood in confusion for a second, Brohn didn't believe in canceling work outs for anything, what made him change his mind? He shook it off and threw his towel into a pile and walked out of the showers to find Brohn making his way in. "Master, why did you cancel our training for tomorrow? It's not like you."
"It was a direct order from your mother. With your birthday being tomorrow she wants you to enjoy it." Brohn answered.
Tundra understood and gave Brohn a nod as he walked into the showers. He looked back into the arena and saw Eirlys making her way towards him. She had just gotten done with her training as well and was heading to her shower, which was right next to the males' showers. "Hey Tundra! Did your training go well?" she asked upon arriving.
"Yeah, I'm really tired right now." He answered.
"Don't get too tired, you still have to take me to see the sky lights tomorrow." She reminded him.
"Of course! I would never forget about that!"
Eirlys giggled and said "good. Now, rest up my prince and I'll see you bright and early tomorrow."
She walked past him and slowly dragged the tip of her tail underneath his chin, causing him to feel woozy and smile. She giggled as she left him alone in his trance that was broken with Murghus patting him on the back, saying "you are one lucky dragon my friend to have someone that cares for you like she does."
"Yes I am." Tundra said, not taking his mind off of Eirlys.
Murghus chuckled and said "you best be heading to bed now, your mother is probably waiting for you."
"Yeah, thanks Murghus." Tundra said as he ran out of the arena and walked back to the throne room where Queen Krystal was waiting for him. "Hello mother." He said.
"Hello Tundra. Ready to head off to bed now?" she asked.
"Yeah, just got done working out, I'm worn out."
"Well, come here, I want to talk to you really quickly." She told him.
He walked to her and sat next to her. "What is it mother?"
"Tomorrow is your thirteenth birthday. You have reached the age of becoming a real dragon, and as such it is appropriate for the heir of Pyry to choose the dragon whom they wish to become their life mate."
"Yes mother, I am aware of the traditions, and I have chosen one already."
"It must be Eirlys, right?"
Tundra blushed and hid his face. "How did you know?"
Krystal chuckled a little and said "you two are inseparable, I knew you would choose her the day you told me about her."
"So, what do you say about it?" he asked, a little nervous about the answer.
She smiled and said "I accept your decision. She is a great dragoness and will make a wonderful mate for you. Have you any plans to ask her?"
"Actually, yes. We were going to watch the sky lights tomorrow night. I thought that would be the best time to ask her."
"Excellent choice my son! I will dismiss you from the royal party to allow you some time alone."
"Thank you mother." Tundra said with a yawn. "I'm going to bed now, good night mother." He said with a kiss to her cheek.
"Good night my son, sweet dreams!" she said as he made his way towards his room.
Tundra had trouble going to sleep that night, he was so anxious for his date with Eirlys the next night. He had spent the last three years with Eirlys, but only one of them as a couple. He loved her with all his heart, he was just worried that she didn't feel the same way. Sleep took over his thoughts only to be soon awoken by the knocking of his door. Before he could even focus clearly in walked his attendant, Malaxius. "Good morning master Tundra. I am honored to be the first to wish you a most wonderful happy birthday!" she said.
Tundra smiled sleepily and said "thank you, Malaxius." He rolled his feet onto the ground and walked out of his room, still half asleep. He made his way to the kitchen and found Eirlys already eating in her usual spot. He snuck up behind her and tapped her left shoulder, causing her too look that way as he quickly went around and kissed her right cheek. "Good morning Eirlys." He said.
Eirlys blushed and said "good morning my prince, and happy birthday."
"Thanks." He said as he sat down next to her. His meal was quickly delivered by one of the cooks. He began to eat when he asked "so Eirlys, have you enjoyed living in Pyry?"
"Yes, I have. It has been quite fun and exciting. Much better than where I used to live." She answered.
He swallowed his bite and said "I agree, the last three years with you have been very exciting. I wish they will never end."
She smiled and said "Well, your birthday feast begins in several hours, you should go get prepared for it."
"Which reminds me. Eirlys, will you sit with me during the feast?" Tundra asked.
She smiled and replied "of course Tundra, it would be an honor. See you there." She got up and leaned over and kissed his cheek, causing him to blush uncontrollably.
She giggled a bit and walked out of the kitchen. Tundra finished up his meal as well and returned to his room to prepare for the celebration later. He put on the ceremonial robes that Malaxius had left lying on his bed along with his light blue and gold armor. He was examining himself when a knock came from his door. "It's open." He said.
The door opened and Murghus walked in. "It's beginning." He said.
Tundra nodded and with one last look in the mirror before walking out with Murghus. Murghus led him to the giant doors that led to the throne room. Before Tundra could open the door and walk in he saw something in the corner of his eye. It was none other than Eirlys with a beautiful necklace and a golden tiara. She giggled when she saw him frozen in amazement but came back to his senses when Murghus nudged him a bit. "You… you look beautiful!" he stuttered.
She blushed and said "thank you, Malaxius helped me with arranging it."
"That was nice of her. Now milady…" Tundra said as he picked up her paw. "… Shall I escort you to your spot?" he continued with a kiss to her paw.
She couldn't help but giggle and say "that would be nice."
They stood together side by side as Murghus opened the doors for them. They made their way through the room with the entire crowd standing up and watching them enter. Tundra led Eirlys to their spot in between his mother Krystal and Brohn with his mate Malaxius. Once Tundra sat down the rest of the party sat down as well. "Let the feast begin." Krystal announced.

Ch.1 pt.2
Food was swiftly brought out to each individual, allowing them to finally eat. For several hours the citizens walked by one at a time and wished the prince a happy birthday, every other one leaving a gift as well. Once the sun was setting Krystal bent down to Tundra and whispered "you may leave with Eirlys now." Tundra nodded and motioned to Eirlys to stand up. They walked together through a secret door behind the throne room that led to the tallest tower in Pyry. "Finally, some alone time." Eirlys said as they both sat down next to each other. "Yeah." Was all Tundra could say before he got lost in her eyes again. There was a moment of silence before Tundra broke the silence with "Eirlys, tonight is a very special night for me with many traditions that must be done, one of which I am nervous about." "And what would that one be my prince?" Eirlys asked. Tundra took a deep breath and turned so that they were facing each other. He took her paw in his and said "something a prince must fulfill at the age of thirteen. What I'm wanting to ask is, would you, Eirlys, be my life mate?"

ch. 2
Friendship The streets of Warfang interested the mighty Prince Tundra as he roamed them. He had decided to let Eirlys have some alone time with her parents after taking Thunor home. He wanted to get a better view of the city on his own, without being treated like royalty by Murghus. As far as everyone knew he was only an ice dragon taking a walk though Warfang. He browsed through the wide varieties of stands around with different looking pieces of meat and bread. He stopped when he noticed a beautiful flower stand run by a mole and a red dragon. He approached and browsed the many flower species sitting on the booth. "May I help you with something?" The mole asked him. "Yes, I'm looking for something to give to my mate and thought some of your flowers would do well." Tundra replied, his eyes fixated on a group of blue flowers. "What's her element?" the red dragon asked him. "She's an ice dragon, just like me." Tundra replied. "Then those flowers would work perfectly for her." The mole replied. "How would you know?" Tundra asked curiously. "Well, a study has shown that female dragons prefer flowers that match their element type over any other flower." the red dragon told him. "Trust me, my mate is a fire dragon and she loves it when I give her roses. These Forget-Me-Not's will be perfect for your mate." Tundra nodded in agreement before saying "yeah, these look nice. How much?" Before the mole could announce the price the red dragon said "just take them, I'll pay for this one." "No, I can pay for it, thank you though." Tundra replied, grabbing the bag of gems he had been carrying around his neck. Once he handed over the correct amount of gems the mole took them and said "enjoy the flowers." Tundra nodded and picked up the flowers and walked towards where he thought Eirlys' house was, but with him still being new to the city he eventually found himself lost. He looked around the many dragons still roaming the streets, hoping he could spot someone he recognized. Without any luck he continued walking in search of something familiar. After awhile he found the garden he met Eirlys' friends at. "Well at least I'm on the right track." he said to himself. He flew to the top of the building to get a better view of the streets. He located Eirlys' house several blocks away. With a smile he jumped off of the building and started flying in that direction but stopped after hearing someone roar below him. He looked down and saw four dragons below him. One light green, two blue, and one red one, the same red dragon he recognized as the one that helped him pick the flowers. He noticed that the other three were surrounding the red one while he was in a defensive fighting stance. He overheard the green one say "time to finish what we started!" Tundra knew what he meant by that and quickly flew down to the red dragons side. Everyone looked at the prince in shock. "Then you will have to take on the both of us!" Tundra growled at the earth dragon. "You mean to tell me you are going to help this half breed dragon?" the confused leader asked. "He can barely call himself a dragon!" "Yeah, I will, because no one deserves this kind of treatment from anyone! If you want to hurt him you will have to beat both of us." Tundra replied, getting in his fighting stance. The dragon merely chuckled before replying "you are outnumbered three to two, you don't stand a chance!" The overconfident earth dragon summoned up a big rock from the ground and shot it towards Tundra. Tundra raised his wing to shield himself from the attack but after hearing something smash without anything hitting his wing he looked up and saw that his ally had used his spiked tail to stop the attack. He looked back at Tundra and nodded, signaling that he had his back. Their attacker looked at them in shock for a minute but shook it off and brought up two more rocks, throwing them just like before. The red dragon hit down one of them while Tundra iced the other, making it fall to the ground. Without warning the other ice dragons lunged onto Tundra and his new friend from behind, pinning both of them down. Tundra struggled the best he could but couldn't get out of the dragon's tight grip. He looked up and saw the bully of a dragon walking up to him, an evil smile spreading across his face. With Tundra still trying to get out of their clutches his friend rolled his captor over to his back and landed on top, giving the now defenseless ice dragon a growl making him cower in fear. Before he could tackle the earth dragon he shot a wall to prevent the attack, then went off on Tundra's head, swiping him with his claws with surprising speed. The red dragon destroyed the wall and saw Tundra being attacked. Seeing an opening, he took it by diving at the still unaware earth dragon, bringing him to the ground. From there they rolled around on the ground, giving off a few punches and scratches. While the ice dragon holding him down was distracted by what was going on Tundra managed to kick him off and get to his feet, facing his adversaries immediately. They both circled around him, with each of them growling at him. In an instant Tundra shot snow into their eyes and lunged at the one on his left, bringing him to the ground. The second bully cleared his eyes and charged at where Tundra was attacking his friend but was stopped when a bolt of electricity shot past them. They all stopped and looked to see an adult electric dragon with a black mask looking at them. "Cease your fighting immediately! Dragons should not be fighting as if they are foes!" he ordered. The green dragon that started it all got up and tried to escape but ran into an adult ice dragon. "Isn't there something you're supposed to say first?" he asked. "Murghus!" Tundra shouted in relief. The other two ice dragons cowered in fear and snuck through an alleyway. The leader looked up at Murghus in fear and asked "wh… what do you mean?" "You forgot to apologize for attacking these two dragons!" he answered. "No way! I'm not…" the bully replied but after seeing the glare in Murghus' eyes he froze and said "s… sorry…" The red dragon just glared at him angrily, not wanting anything to do with him. The green dragon then crept away in defeat, his tail in between his legs. Once he was gone Murghus walked up to Tundra and asked "are you alright master Tundra?" "I'm fine Murghus. What about you?" he asked his new friend. The red dragon just nodded in reply, trying his best to hide any pain he was dealing with. "I've had worse." "Well I don't think he'll be bothering you from now on." The electric dragon stated. "Might be too afraid to run into Murghus here." Murghus chuckled and said "I wouldn't hurt the kid, too much. Just enough to make him leave these two alone." "Ah, I see. The names Wasp by the way." he said with an extended paw. Murghus shook it and said "pleasure to meet you, and thanks for helping us out there." "Of course! I wouldn't just let a group of dragons have a fight to the death! That'd be the last thing I do!" Murghus nodded then turned to the red dragon. "Why were they attacking you?" he asked. "Thy were mocking the fact that I'm a half breed, and from there it got all crazy." he replied. "And boy did they learn a lesson!" Tundra stated. He walked up to his friend and said "I'm Tundra." "Damian, it's nice to finally learn your name!" he said. They exchanged a fist bump before walking away with Murghus and Wasp, learning more about each other as they walked and talked. "Tundra my friend, I can see this friendship lasting for a long time."

Bonus Ch. 3 pt. 1
A Birthday to Remember For many years Relic had been working for the cruel dragon named Leonidus, spending every day of her captivity digging inside the black crystal mine, almost collapsing each time the lead ape whipped her and her comrades. Ever since she was abducted as a child her life has been a living hell with only her friend Hashara to comfort her during their solitude in their cells. For ten years she served with all hope of being rescued gone long ago. Several days before her seventeenth birthday she was working as she always did. As she was pulling out a cart full of crystals to be transferred to another earth dragon she spotted Leonidus speaking to the warden ape. She didn't care so much about that as much as the dragon standing next to him. It was a black dragon that seemed to be roughly her age with black horns and a blue strip going across his body. She didn't know why, but she couldn't stop staring at him. She was too caught up on figuring out why that she didn't notice that he was looking back at her. 'Why's she looking at me?' he thought to himself. 'Well, whatever the reason, she's kind of cute.' After finally realizing he was looking back Relic turned her head and blushed before she continued to pull the cart. 'Who was that dragon? I have never seen him before in the mines.' she asked herself. After handing off the cart she walked back in, passing by the same black dragon again. Their eyes met again for a brief second before she looked away and re-entered the mines. The black dragon on the other hand couldn't stop looking at the direction she had gone to. He began to walk towards the mines until Leonidus stopped him. "Where do you think you are going Zoidius?" he asked. "I was just… going to see how the slaves are doing… with the black crystal's that is.." he answered. "Alright, but do not spend too much time down there, we have more training to do today." "Yes master." Zoidius replied before walking into the mine. He looked around for the dragoness he just saw among the small amount of dragons in there, but couldn't find her. Meanwhile Relic was in the very back, digging with her friend Hashara as she told her about what happened. "… and I just couldn't take my eyes off of him!" she finished. "Wow, that is very weird, and you're sure he was looking back at you?" Hashara asked. "Positive, I can not get the image of his blue eyes out of my head." she answered, trying not to get lost in the memory of his eyes. Hashara nodded before saying "I think I know what it is. You're in love with him." "What?! How? I only just saw him!" "When I was back at my village two years ago I felt the same way for a dragon in my class. We ran into each other while walking around and our eyes met each others." "What happened between you two?" Relic asked. "He… was killed when Leonidus attacked my village and captured me." "Oh, I'm sorry." Relic replied. "It's alright, I have gotten over it long ago. I am positive I will find another one someday. In the meantime I think it's time for you to go and meet your soul mate." "What do you mean?" "I want you to take up my cart to Rock so you can get a good look at him again, and maybe even talk to him." "Are you sure? I just took one up to him a few minutes ago…" "I'm positive, now go, it's all full now." Hashara interrupted after placing the last crystal into the cart. Seeing that there was no changing her mind she grabbed the rope with her tail and began pulling the cart out of the mine. After she appeared from their tunnel she spotted the black dragon almost immediately. She continued pulling the cart and casually got closer to him. He looked behind him and spotted her walking towards him. His heart skipped a beat as he watched her get closer and closer. When she finally arrived they were both speechless and couldn't stop looking at each other. After a minute passed she finally said "h… hello." "Uh, hi." he replied sheepishly. "My name's Relic, what's your?" she asked. "I am Zoidius. It's nice to meet you Relic." "Likewise. Are you knew here? I have never seen you in the mines before." "No, I am Leonidus' apprentice." he answered. "… Oh, I see, so you live in the castle?" "Yeah, but I don't like it there too much, I prefer to be outside and having fun. All master wants to do is train and train. I want to get out more and meet new dragons. I had to beg my master to bring me down here with him. I wanted to see for myself what goes on down here." "Well, there's not much to see, other than all of us working our tails off to serve your master." Relic told him with some spite in her voice. "I know, and I cannot believe he's making you all do this. It's awful to see what the apes do to you down here." 'huh, so he isn't like Leonidus after all.' she thought. "Well it's not as bad as seeing your entire village get slaughtered while you're being captured." The black dragon frowned at her sad statement. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that happened to you." "It's alright, you probably had no idea about it at the time. It happened ten years ago." "I was his apprentice ten years ago, but I wasn't allowed outside at all and all he ever talked to me was when we were training. If I had known he had brought in such a pretty dragoness I would of wanted to meet you immediately." Relic blushed at his words and looked away. "You… think I'm pretty?" she asked. "Of course I do! I couldn't take my eyes off of you when I saw you walking by!" "Well, you are cute as well. So cute I couldn't stop thinking about you when I went back in." Zoidius smiled, then asked "what time do you get off? Maybe I can visit you later." "You probably won't, they keep us in real tight security in the cells." she answered. "Darn! I really want to spend more time with you!" A smile spread across Relic's muzzle as she said "well, if there is a way I would much appreciate it, my birthday is in two days." He smiled as an idea popped into his head. "I have an idea. On your birthday don't fall asleep after dark, okay?" With no idea what he had in his mind she nodded and said "alright, I'll be waiting." Zoidius smiled and before anything else could be said Leonidus shouted "Zoidius! It's time to go!" "Coming master!" he shouted back. He turned back to Relic and took her right paw in his and gave it a quick peck with his lips. "Until we meet again Relic." As he left she almost collapsed in infatuation and lost her train of thought. Thankfully Hashara walked up and took the cart from her, carrying it outside quickly then returned to Relic to see her still frozen on the spot. "I guess it went well?" she asked her friend. All Relic could do was nod in reply, making Hashara chuckle a bit before she moved her back into their tunnel.

Bonus Ch. 3 pt. 2
Two days passed by quickly for Relic. She took work a bit better now that she had something to look forward to. All day the other prisoners wished her happy birthday and helped her when she needed it. When the final horn sounded her heart quickened with excitement. She hastily walked back into her cell with Hashara and kept her eyes on the door. The moon had been up for a few hours when Hashara woken up to see Relic still watching the door. "He hasn't come yet?" she asked sleepily. Relic shook her head and said "I guess I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up like that." She couldn't see it, but Hashara could tell that her friend was now beginning to cry. She scooted closer to her and hugged her with her wing. "It's alright, maybe he was not able to…" She was interrupted by a whooshing sound coming from the door. They both looked and saw a dark cloud swirling in front of them. In seconds the cloud slowly changed into the form of a dragon. Once the last cloud was gone a black dragon stood in its place with a basket hanging from his tail. "Hey Relic, sorry I'm late, my master…" he began. She interrupted him by running up and hugging him tightly. "You really came! You actually came!" she exclaimed happily. He hugged back and said "of course I did, I keep my promises." She looked up at him and smiled, making him smile back. He looked up at the pink dragoness laying down behind her. "Who might you be?" he asked. "I am Hashara, Relic's cell mate." she replied. "She has helped me through all of the hardships I have gone through." "Well then, it's nice to meet you Hashara." He said with a polite nod. "Likewise." she replied. "Now tell me, what do you plan to do with my friend here?" "That, is a surprise." he answered with a smile to Relic. "Well, where are we going to go? We're stuck here in this cell." Relic asked. His smile returned as Zoidius said "I have been working on using my shadow powers to allow me to pass underneath doors, as well as bringing others with me without the guards noticing." Once he finished he extended his paw to Relic. "Take my paw, and I shall sneak you out for the night." Without a second thought she grabbed his paw tightly and watched as he dissolved them both into the shadows. At first Relic was a bit scared but the thought of finally being able to have some fun in her life kept her holding onto Zoidius' paw. He controlled the shadow underneath the door and passed the guards unknowingly. Once they made it out of the castle and into the forest he brought them out of the shadows. "There we go. A whole forest to ourselves! We could do whatever we want here!" he told her. Just the idea of that made her happy, but now that it's a reality Relic was overjoyed! "Well, the night's still young, I could really go for some food right now." she said to him. "Good thing I came prepared then." he replied, bringing the basket to her. He opened it and pulled out two freshly cooked sheep thighs as well as a bowl of mixed berries. "Wow, this is the most food I have seen in years!" She exclaimed. "And I plan on brining you and Hashara some everyday from now on." Relic looked up at him in shock. "You're what?" "I can't stand the small amount of food the apes give you, so I shall from now on sneak over and give you some more food like this." "Zoidius, that's so generous of you! Thank you so much!" she exclaimed before throwing her arms around him in a hug. After replying with a hug he added "I would do anything for you Relic. I cannot imagine seeing you hurt." Once the broke off of the hug he continued with "the moment I saw you in the mines I had this strange feeling wash over me. I couldn't figure out what it was, which is why I followed you into the mine. Once I talked to you the feeling grew even more. I then remembered something my master taught me awhile ago. I don't know how else to say it Relic, but I…" Relic interrupted by pressing her lips to his. A little shocked at first Zoidius didn't know what to do until he decided to just kiss her back. Once Relic pulled back she said "Zoidius, I love you too! You're the only thing that makes me happy here!" Zoidius smiled, overjoyed to hear her say that. He brought her lips back to his with his paw and kissed her very passionately. One Year Later… Relic sat in her room in Warfang, looking out at the night sky once more. She sighed before saying to herself, "I wish you were here for me this year, Zoidius." She looked down at her side and nuzzled her two sleeping children gently. "All I have left of you is them, and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift."

Bonus ch. 4 pt. 1
Welcome to Pyry The rain was pouring down heavily once the blue dragon placed the last piece of dirt in it's place. He then stood over the grave he spent hours working on and looked down upon it in sadness. During his years of traveling the world he only had one friend, and now she was gone, killed by an unknown dragon. A dragoness he considered his companion laid breathless in the ground beneath him. He closed his eyes and looked back at all of the memories he had with his best friend. One day, in the middle of summer, he and his friend were running in an empty grass field, having the time of their lives. They stopped after a bit of running and laid in the grass together, the dragoness resting her head on his side. After several minutes of silence the dragoness said "thank you Murghus, for taking care of me all of these years." Murghus looked back at her with a smile. "You're welcome Kyrie. I couldn't leave you where I found you, it wouldn't feel right." He replied with a nuzzle to her cheek. She smiled and closed her eyes, falling asleep on Murghus' side. After awhile Murghus fell asleep as well, resting in the hot sun. They slept for several hours until Kyrie woke up from feeling Murghus getting up. "I'll go get us dinner, you wait here." he told her before going into the nearby forest. She did as she was told and waited in that spot for his return. Little did she know of the danger creeping around in the tall grass. Before she could even react she was grabbed from behind and taken to the ground. Kyrie looked up and saw that her attacker was a dragon about Murghus' age grinning evilly at her. Scared for her life she screamed loudly, hoping Murghus had heard her before her attacker shut her mouth. "No one's going to hear you out here!" he whispered into her ear. Kyrie whimpered in fear as the dragon got closer and chuckled evilly. She jumped, though, when she heard him suddenly scream in pain. Looking up she noticed a giant icicle sticking out of his side. "Would you bet your life on that?" Murghus growled as he approached. Seeing that Murghus was twice the size of him the attacker just ran off as quickly as he could, leaving Kyrie where she lay. She was quivering with fear and gasped when Murghus popped his head through the tall grass to where she was. "Are you alright Kyrie?" he asked in a soft gentle voice. Kyrie nodded in reply, then walked over to Murghus, hugging his muzzle tightly. "I was so scared of that dragon!" she told him as she cried. Murghus hushed her and gently said "it's alright, no one is going to hurt you while I am around. I swear it!" "You… you do?" Kyrie asked, feeling a bit more comfortable. The ice dragon nodded in reply. "I will protect your life by sacrificing my own if I have to!" Now Kyrie began to smile and hugged Murghus even more. "Thank you Murghus. Thank you so much!" "Anything for your happiness my child." he replied. "I failed you Kyrie." Murghus finally stated. "I failed to protect you from any harm." Tears fell onto the grave as he spoke those words. He had nothing else in his life to live for now. The only thing that kept him from ending it was the revenge he needed to make. His sadness was replaced by hatred and rage at the one who did this to his beloved friend. With his mind made up he flew back to the cave they had been staying in. He smelt the air around and surely enough caught the scent of the attacker still hanging in the air. With the scent engraved in his mind Murghus flapped his wings and left the cave for the last time in search of the murderer. For days Murghus continued his search, not even bothering to stop to sleep or eat. By the third day he had been flying non stop, causing him to slowly start swaying as he flew until he just eventually started falling to the earth below him. He was already unconscious before he had hit the snow covered ground. "Hello…" A familiar voice echoed in Murghus' head. Murghus grumbled a bit and opened his eyes slightly before closing them again. "Hello…" Again Murghus opened his eyes, this time seeing a figure sitting above him. "Ky… Kyrie?" he asked weakly. "What? No, my name is Malaxius." The figure replied. "And I have been taking care of you ever since my mate brought you to me. That was four days ago." The blue dragon widened his eyes in shock, showing him that it was indeed not Kyrie but a blue dragoness instead. He looked at her and asked "I have? Where am I?" "Relax, you are in the city of Pyry, the ice kingdom." Malaxius answered. Murghus groaned as he attempted to sit up but still felt too weak to do so. "What happened to me?" he asked. "You looked as if you hadn't eaten in days! You poor thing. I have taken care of it though. You became conscious several times throughout the last few days, only enough for me to feed you though." "Thank you very much, Malaxius, but I must be going." Murghus stated before trying to get up again. After another failed attempt Malaxius said softly "not until you are back to full strength you're not! Just rest a few more days, then we will discuss what you will do." With no will to argue Murghus nodded and said "very well. My name is Murghus by the way." "It's nice to meet you Murghus. Now eat this and get some more rest." Malaxius told him before handing him a tray of food. Murghus nodded and did as he was told. While he was eating Malaxius went to the door and opened it, allowing another blue dragon to walk in. "Hello there, nice to finally see you awake! My name is Brohn, I'm the one that found you near our borders several days ago." he stated. Swallowing whatever food he had in his mouth Murghus said "thank you incredibly! My name is Murghus, and I am forever in your debt!" "Please, there's no need for that, I am sure you would have done the same for me." Brohn replied. He sat down next to the bed then asked "what exactly were you doing?" Murghus started telling them both about how he was searching for the murderer of his friend. During his explanation the dragon couple stared in shock. Once he had finished Malaxius stated "oh dear! I'm so sorry for your loss!" "Do you have any idea who it was that killed her?" Brohn asked. Murghus shook his head, saying "I do not. I only had a weak scent that I lost a few days ago." "If there is anything we can do to help let us know." Malaxius told him. "Well, I could use some more of that meat now." "Then it shall be done! I'll be right back with some more!" Malaxius stated before running out the door. Once she was gone Brohn turned back to Murghus and asked "how are you holding up emotionally?" "I feel, sad, and angry. All I want to do is find her killer and put him through a world of pain!" Murghus replied. "I see. I have never been in your position before, but I believe the path you are taking is not a wise one." "What? Why isn't it?" Murghus asked in shock. "I have learned through my training that revenge is not the way to live life. Sure, I would want to kill anyone who tries to harm my mate, but I will not fill my heart with revenge so much that I forget my other duties in life!" "Well, I don't exactly have anything else in life. Kyrie was everything to me!" "I see. Well then, I guess it's my duty to help you to find something new to do in life." Brohn stated. "What do you mean?" Murghus asked curiously. "What I mean is that I shall take you in and train you to become a guard for the queen of Pyry! As an ice dragon there is no greater honor!" Brohn answered. "Really? You would train me to do that?" "Of course! I cannot ignore a dragon in need! It may take some time to train you properly you'll be ready to protect Queen Krystal and Prince Tundra easily!"

Bonus ch. 4 pt. 2
Murghus went to his thoughts for a minute to think this over. He knew he had no chance of finding Kyrie's killer anymore, and even if he did somehow find him he knew he wouldn't stand a chance without the proper training. "Alright, I'll stay and train underneath you!" he told Brohn. The captain of the guard smiled and said "very good. As soon as you are fully recovered we shall begin your training." Murghus nodded in reply, saying "I look forward to it." After that Brohn stood up and walked to the door but stopped and said "welcome to Pyry, Murghus." "And from then on I trained everyday with Brohn." Murghus said as he finished off his story. Murghus was sitting inside of Glacier and Statica's home next to the fire with them, Tundra, Eirlys, Icena, Ledus and Glacia listening to him. "Wow, that's such an amazing story!" Statica stated after a moment of silence. "You never did mention much about your past before Murghus, I never knew about your friend Kyrie." Tundra told him. "It was a difficult thing for me to think of, but now I felt like it was something that should be said." he replied. Eirlys yawned and sleepily rested her head on Tundra's shoulder, causing him to nuzzle her lovingly. "Alright, off to bed you two! It's getting late out!" Glacier ordered. Receiving no response from Eirlys Tundra gently rose up and carefully lifted Eirlys onto his back and carried her to their room. "We'll be on our way as well. Thanks again for dinner Glacier!" Ledus announced. "It was my pleasure dad." Glacier replied with a smile. Once Icena and Ledus walked out of the house Glacia slowly started to rise to her feet, clearly having trouble with her growing belly. "I'm all worn out as well, I'm going home too." she stated. "Alright, take care Glacia!" Statica said with a hug. "Take it easy sis, I can't imagine how hard you are pushing yourself all day while being pregnant." "I will. Thanks again." Glacia replied while heading to the door. Murghus just waved to her siblings-in-law while escorting Glacia out of the house and into the streets of Warfang. With the moon shinning brightly they made their way to their home. The entire time Murghus stayed deep in his thoughts, keeping his eyes on the ground in front of him. Glacia noticed this and asked "is everything alright Murghus?" "Huh, what?" he asked after coming out of his trance. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine, just thinking…" "About Kyrie?" Glacia asked. After Murghus nodded in reply she said "I'm sure she was a great friend to you, and I'm positive she's watching over you know, keeping you safe ad offering you hope." "Yeah, I'm sure she is. I just miss her so much!" Murghus stated. Glacia nuzzled her mate comfortingly on his cheek and whispered "I know, I can't blame you, she was a big part of your life. I just hope I can find a way to fill her place." Murghus looked into her eyes, saying "I told you back when we admitted our love to each other, you made me happy again! Then when you told me you were pregnant, things just got better! I will miss Kyrie a lot, but I will not trade the life I have with you for anything!" Glacia smiled, giving him a kiss and saying "that's good to hear." After another quick kiss and a smile they continued walking next to each other. Murghus glanced up to the sky and looked at the stars shinning above. 'Kyrie… thank you for being there for me. I'll see you again my friend.' he said in his mind. As he thought this Murghus could have sworn he saw a star quickly brighten then dim again. He smiled and looked back down to his mate, thinking of the good times to come.

RotI bonus ch. 5 pt. 1
Is This Real? The black dragon slowly opened his eyes after feeling the sun hit his eye lids. He gently raised his head and yawned quietly, being careful not to wake the pink dragoness sleeping next to him. With a quick and gentle kiss to her forehead he quietly stood up and got off of the bed, walking over to the window to see the city of Warfang coming to life. He took in a deep breath and said "what did I do to deserve this?" "Shadow? What are you doing up so early?" A feminine voice asked from behind. Shadow turned and saw that the pink dragoness had woken up. "Nothing, Blazelight. I'm just an early riser I guess." he replied with a slight chuckle. "I can see that, but what are you doing awake this early on your birthday?" He chuckled and asked "you remembered?" "Of course I did!" she replied. "This is your most important day! Without this day I would have never had the chance to meet you!" "Yeah, but I'm no one special." "Yes you are! You are the dragon that saved my life and also comforted me when I was hurting! I wouldn't trade you to save the world!" Blazelight stated as she got up and walked over to him. Shadow replied with a smile and said "I would do anything for a beautiful dragoness like yourself." Blazelight smiled back and nuzzled his chin, getting a nuzzle back as well. They sat there and nuzzled each other for a couple of minutes until Blazelight broke it off and turned to the door. "Come on! Let's go celebrate this wonderful day!" she exclaimed. "Alright, lead the way!" the birthday boy replied. Blazelight giggled and lead him out of the room and out of the house. Her father was still away at Mt. Kennith and her mother practically lived at the hospital without her grandfather to help her now. They walked together through the streets of Warfang until they ended up in the bigger part of the city with the many different stores and restaurants. "Where do you want to eat?" Blazelight asked. "Anyplace we can afford would be nice." Shadow answered while examining all of the places to eat. "Well, there's this new place that opened I think you would like. The owner is a good friend of mine." "Alright, let's go there!" Blazelight nodded and led the way to a building with tables outside of a counter where a red dragon sat. "Hey Blaze!" the red dragon shouted. "Hey Damian! How's it going?" she replied. "Well, business is pretty slow, as you can see by all the empty tables." "That's too bad, your food is pretty good!" "Yeah, tell that to the city." "Oh I will, but right now I'm celebrating my friend's birthday here!" she stated with looking at Shadow. "Is it now? In that case order what you like! It's on the house!" Damian announced. "Aw Damian, you don't have to! We have gems to pay you with!" "Don't be silly! You are my friend and it's your mate's birthday!" With that last statement both dragons blushed and turned their heads away. "We're… not mates…" Shadow told him. "Yeah, keep telling yourself that." Damian replied. Both of their blushes continued to brighten their cheeks when they looked at each other in the eyes and smiled. For a couple of minutes they stared at each other, feeling comfortable and happy until Blazelight broke it and turned her attention back to Damian. "We'll go with two of your cheese and ham omelet's." she told him. "Alright, two special omelet's coming right up!" Damian stated as he went to work on making the omelet's. The two guests moved to a table and sat down across form each other, looking at the others eyes again. Shadow's heart pounded powerfully inside his chest from just being with Blazelight, but the fact that he was having breakfast with her and looking into her eyes was almost too overwhelming for him. 'Is this what my mother told me about being in love?' he asked himself in his mind. They sat and stared at each other all the way until Damian finished making the omelets and brought it out to them. "Here you two lovebirds go, freshly made omelets!" Damian said. Blazelight glared at Damian, making him chuckle a bit and retreat back to the kitchen. Shadow took one sniff of the food in front of him and said "wow, this smells really good!" "I know! It tastes even better too!" Blazelight told him. Using his tail Shadow picked up the fork and cut off a small piece of the omelet and brought it to his mouth. He chewed it a bit and examined the taste. "Hmm, interesting. I can definitely taste the cheese and ham, but I also taste many other spices as well…" "That would be my secret recipe." Damian stated from the counter. "How is it?" "It is very good!" Shadow replied. Damian couldn't help but smile as he said "good, enjoy it!"

RotI bonus ch. 5 pt. 2
Shadow went back to eating his breakfast slowly to keep the flavorful sensation in his mouth. Blazelight did the same, keeping her eyes on Shadow the entire time. 'Just wait Shadow, your birthday has just begun!' she thought to herself. They continued eating until there was nothing left on both of their plates. They dropped their forks and both stated "that was delicious!" "Uh, Blazelight, you have some left on your cheek." Shadow told her. She wiped her cheek with the back part of the paw and got the last bit of egg off of her. "Did I get it?" she asked. "No, you didn't." Shadow lied. "Well, where is it then?" "Right here." he answered while reaching across the table and licking her cheek, causing her to blush wildly. She giggled a bit and returned the favor and licked his cheek as well. They ended up nuzzling each other lovingly and didn't notice Damian coming in and taking their dishes away. 'Now I see what my mom meant!' Shadow thought. 'Maybe, I guess, I do like him.' Blazelight thought. While they were busy nuzzling each other Damian turned his attention to a group of three moles carrying cases walking up to him. "Hello, we are a music group looking for a job. We heard you have just opened up this store and were wondering if we could be some entertainment to your guests?" the lead mole asked. "Well, business has been slow, so I don't have much to offer you guys right now." Damian replied. "That's alright, we can help you bring some customers in." Another mole told him. "Alright, you guys are hired then! If you can bring the customers in I will pay you ten gems an hour." Damian told them. "Works for us!" The lead mole replied. "We'll get started right away!" The three moles quickly opened up their cases and pulled out their instruments. Their leader carried a saxophone, another had a cello, and the last one pulled out a trumpet. They took their spots just next to the counter and began playing some lively music that brought Shadow and Blazelight out of their trance. "Who are they?" Blazelight asked. "I don't know, but it seems that Damian hired them to play here." Shadow replied. They watched them continue playing for a few minutes until they spotted a dragoness and her young daughter approach the restaurant. Surely enough they walked up to Damian and checked out what was on the menu. In a couple of minutes they made their order and found a seat. Soon enough more dragons made their way to Damian and made their orders. "Wow, I guess it really worked!" Shadow exclaimed as he looked around the now packed restaurant. "Yeah, Damian sure is going to have his hands full!" Blazelight added. The two watched Damian working quickly behind the counter to prepare all of the meals that had been ordered. One by one he took care of each order, making sure there were no mistakes in any of them. Once he had the last order taken care of he sat down and took a break to look over everyone enjoying their food with the music in the background. The moles continued playing with very few minutes to take breaks in-between songs. Once everybody was finishing up their meals the band decided on playing a slower, much more romantic piece. To Damian's surprise a dragon couple several years older than him got up and walked into a clearing. They touched each other's wingtips and locked their eyes together and began to dance together. It didn't take long for other couple, young and old, to join in on the dancing. Blazelight and Shadow just watched in amazement at how quickly business had changed. Shadow couldn't take his eyes off of the first couple that walked out to dance. He watched the way they danced with their wingtips touching and couldn't help but feel jealous of them. Looking back at where his wings used to be Shadow couldn't but feel saddened by not being able to dance with Blazelight like that. "C'mon Shadow! Let's go join them!" Blazelight suddenly stated, bring the black dragon out of his trance. "What?! But I can'! My wings…" he began. "You don't need wings to dance silly! Follow me!" she interrupted with pulling his paw to follow her. He did as he was told and followed her into the group of dancing dragons and made their way into the middle. Shadow was shaking nervously, not sure of how they were going to dance without any wings on his back. The dragon watched as Blazelight turned her body to be opposite of his and put her tail on his opposite shoulder and waited for him to do the same. Taking a deep breath he followed her lead and moved his tail to her opposite shoulder as well. Once he did, Blazelight began to slowly take two steps in a circle with Shadow following her every step. They kept this up for several minutes, the entire time Shadow kept his eyes focused on Blazelight's feet to keep up with her. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Trying to follow your lead!" Shadow replied. "Don't look at my feet silly! Look into my eyes and let your feet move with the rhythm." she told him. He took a deep breath and looked up into her eyes and began moving with her in perfect rhythm with her. They got lost in their eyes once again and everything around them disappeared from their minds. All they could see were each other, and they would ask for nothing less. 'Is this real? Is this really happening?' Shadow kept asking himself. The two dragons continued their dance together all the way through the song. It took Shadow running into another dragoness to make them stop. "Sorry ma'am, I didn't see you there!" he quickly apologized. "It's alright young one, I saw that look you two were giving each other. Reminds me of the night my mate announced his love for me." the red dragoness told him. Again the two dragons blushed and bowed their heads. The dragoness just giggled and walked away with her mate. Shadow looked back to Blazelight, seeing her blushing as well. The crowd that had danced to the music was gone, either back to eating or elsewhere. "Blazelight… thank you…" Shadow finally said after a moment of silence. The pink dragoness smiled and replied "it was my pleasure Shadow. I told you there was nothing to worry about!" Shadow nodded and led her back to their table and sat back down across from her again. 'Should I tell her now?' Shadow asked himself. "So, how's your birthday turning out so far?" she asked him. "Great! Better than any other birthday I've ever had before!" he replied. "That's good, I'm glad you found your way here." "As am I." For a moment they just stared at their paws, both pondering on what to say next. Damian just finished taking an order when he spotted the two just sitting there. "Come on guys! Say something!" he quietly muttered. As if on cue Shadow lifted his head and said "Blazelight, there's something I have to tell you." "What is it, Shadow?" she asked, hoping it was what she thought it was.

RotI Bonus ch. 5 pt. 3
The black dragon took a deep breath before saying "where I lived, I was not treated right. My father, did things to me I do not enjoy thinking of, my wings being one of them. But, something kept me going, something more than just the thought of better days. It was my mother's words. She is a psychic dragon, so she was able to see my future and show it to me. One day, when I felt like ending it on the spot, she showed me you. "At the time I was unsure of what it meant, but when I saw you for myself I felt this pull to you. It has taken me a few days to figure it out, but now, I think I know what it is. "What I'm trying to say is, Blazelight, I love you." Shadow stated. Blazelight was left speechless from his story, just the idea of her being the only thing that kept him alive even before they knew each other was overwhelming. Knowing nothing else to do she quickly brought her muzzle to his and locked him in a kiss. This act startled Shadow, but he nonetheless kissed back. Damian watched from the counter and couldn't help but smile at the sight of their kiss. "I knew they would be a good couple!" Damian stated as he returned to his work, leaving the two to kiss happily.
