Spyro and Hunter seem to be around the same age group, but Hunter said he was born in the year 1975 in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, making him about 20 years old. In the first game Spyro seems like a kid though, compared to all the adult dragons.
Is Spyro's age ever pointed out in the series? I'm all confused...

There's actually a TEN card with Spyro's age then.

Just for dragons sake, age 20 is probably not very old. In fact, its probably only about 2 years in age for a dragon, give or take.

I'm guessing that Spyro was born in 1988.

TLoS Spyro is 12 in ANB and TEN, and 15 in DotD.

I believe I heard he was 10 in StD.
RR takes place a year after, so he must be 11 there.
After that, I don't know, but I think he is 13-14 in AHT (IMO, it was never determined).

Wasn't there a clue in Year of the Dragon as to when dragons are born, or maybe in the Enter the Dragonfly manual? I swear I thought I seen it say that dragon eggs come once every twelve years.

So he was 11 during the sequel? But Hunter and Elora seem to be in the same age group... and Elora liked Spyro so... lol.

Well, they are different races...that's "weird" enough, why not make it "weirder"!?

I thought he was 14-15 in ANB and TEN and 17-18 in DotD.

That Wendy's toy said he was 12. DotD is three years later, so he would be 15 there. Same goes for Cynder.

I think the developer over did it by making Spyro and Cynder look older in Dawn of the Dragon because 15 isn't that old, I'd understand if it was 18.

In the DS Version of ANB, after NNina and Flash find Spyro's egg, the scene fades to the swamp with Spyro and Sparx, saying '12 Years Later'.
And TEN is set a few days/weeks after TEN, and DotD set three years after TEN, making Spyro 15.

Maybe TLoS Spyro is really the original Spyro's father. Hunter could have been the Hunter from TLos, making him the age of TLoS. So the original Spyro would be much younger than Hunter because of this.

Also, has anyone noticed how all of the pieces of the planet that broke off at the end of DotD resemble the Dream Weavers world?
