In the TLoS trilogy are the Elders and Spyro and Cynder the only dragons alive or are there other dragons on different islands?

I don't know but I'm sure it will be clarified in the upcoming game.

Very good qustion and I have been wondering the same thing. In ANB it certainly seems that way when Ignitus says "You have saved all of us" impling that they are the only five dragons left. And in TEN it seems when But there have been rumors that you will see Spyro's mom in the next game. So it is possible that there might be other dragons on other islands that Ignitus does not know about.

Spyro's mom is going to be in the next one!

It seems as thought as that's true. Now, all the dragons that we know are in exsistence are as followed:

Ignitus

Volteer

Cyril

The Chronicler

Terrador

Spyro

Cynder

The Dark Master (as of the next game)

Now, unless The Dark Master somewho ends up being female (kinda unlikly), the only female dragon (and hope for the dragon race) is Cynder. You need a population of around 200 (I think) to keep the entire race from being inbreds.

I just heard that rumor but I highly doubt it will happen. And sorry I forgot about DM and the Chronicler. Seven dragons that is not 5.

Mmmm. I think there are other dragons around, but I'm not exactly sure. Cuz there was the Chronicler in TEN, and then he shows Spyro the DM, so I don't think that they're the only dragons...

^The Chronicler was thought to be as a myth. Ignitus could very well have not have included him because he thought that he was just an urban legend. I really don't think that Spyro's mom will be in the next game but I have only heard it around here though. I am pretty sure that it is a rumor.

Yes but in the 1st game you didn't know that. So in all there are 7 dragons in this game. Unless Spyro's mom pops up sometime in the next game which would be cool

I figured he ment other races, including the dragonflies.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. "Others" really could mean anyone, but it's usually used in a familiar sort of way, as in "Go tell the other dragon elders that darkness is coming and we've failed". But it could also be "Go tell the leaders of the other races that we've failed and they need to prepare for war. Again".

^I am heading toward the races of other creatures. It seems as though that if there were any dragons left Ignitus would have let them join there small family or you know spoken to them. And didn't he say that he and the other guardians were the only surviors? Well we will just have to wait and see like Razz said.

I'm kinda starting to think that because of how Ignitus(?) said it in the cut scene. Although, it sounds possible that he could have been talking about dragons and other races.

Anyway, those should start coming out soon. Sonic Unleased it supposed to come out around November and we've already got a whole bunch of screens from it (in PS3/Glitch Box resolution!).
