This is a topic for readers/fans of Mel-the-Hybrid/Grim09/Kayla-na's Spyro comic, "A Bittersweet End".

For those unaware, this recently started fan comic by Mel tells the story of Cynder's death at the hands of a clan of demons working for a mysterious evil master. If you're a big Cynder fan or faint of heart, it's not really something you're likely to enjoy.

Currently, the comic is at 20 pages. I did check the rules and there is nothing in them saying we can't post links to violent content, but Mel has many of the pages marked in such a way that you would have to sign up with a site that does allow inappropriate content in order to view them, so I won't be linking pages here and I ask you guys to do the same unless you know of a way to post them without also linking to an inappropriate site.

I found them on Google Images. Is that a legit way to link them, if needed?

I think I might actually contact dark52 about this one. I've found them on dA, but the content is really violent and I'm not sure he wants links to it on his forum.

I once seen Dead Space videos posted in a Spyro general topic, and nothing came of it. I myself would consider them more violent than this comic, but that may just be me.

My bigger concern is that, outside of dA, the comic is only posted to a site that contains lots of adult content. In order to see most of the pages, people have to be members of that site which would also lead them to seeing pornographic content. 19 of the pages are on dA but she got fed up with the fanbrats there and won't be posting any more of them on that site.

Ah, I hadn't seen the latest one! Wretched fanbrats. I'll keep an eye out for the rest now that I know - I was waiting on dA for them.

The newest page is page 20, so you've only missed one page. It appears to be the appearance of Nefaria (or whatever her name is) in the comic.

I seen two pages or so on dA, then she put an over 18 filter on it. I then had to rummage through pornography to get it.

I'm still waiting to hear back from dark52. It's kind of looking like we won't be able to link the comic itself here, but it seems like you guys have all read it anyway so that shouldn't really matter.

Currently reading. On page 8. So far it's feeling rather corny with the "master" and "not from this world" stuff.

Alas, Mel's writing does sometimes leave something to be desired. I was reading solely for her art and because I wanted to see Cynder die. I kind of like Nefaria, though.

You read into because you wanted someone to die. Wow, that's cold hearted. =P

I enjoyed reading the first few pages, but then she began marking the pages with the strict adult filter. Now I die inside everytime a new one's uploaded, while I'm left staring at the stupid filter. ;__;

Last I checked, all of them are using that filter. Thankfully I can see it. /gloat

Hilariously enough, CAV, she started the comic because of me and ShaloneSK and our troubles with Cyndorks (and I think her own problems with them at the time). I get pretty sick of seeing cutesy cuddly art of Cynder, so ABE was a refreshing change. While I don't really care for many of the story elements, I do like where she's taking this and who the big bad is.

Darby, there are ways to find the pages but you should be warned that they're pretty graphic.

Given that the original story premise was to see Cynder being eaten alive by demons and her family murdered in front of her...yeah, it's that violent.

Nah, I didn't think it was too bad. The spin-off art was plain weird though, for a personal reason...

Which spin-off art (excluding the porn, of course)? All I've seen is some stuff with the kids, Spyro, and the big bad.

The one I'm referring to is where Cynder is shackled to hanging chains, dead, and she is being cut up by the demons(you can see her intestine and everything)....

The thing that got me though, was when I noticed that the creature eating her wing was none other than Sonic the Hedgehog, and the creature poking one of her loose eyeballs was Tails!

Oh, that one! Mel has been doing Sonic art a lot longer than Spyro art. I think she did that drawing a while before ABE was started in response to some Cyndorks lurking around her gallery.

Yep, it is. There isn't much mangled Cynder art out there. In fact, the only ones I know of for certain are by Mel (ABE artist) and OnionTrain.

I've finally figured out a way to see her comic. I'm on page ten. The gore doesn't make her any less of a really talented artist.

I'm still curious about that picture. I've already seen her "easy pickings" one.. which was quite a violent sketch..

If you can do gore well, you ARE talented.

Yeah, that's before they eat Cynder. That's one of the bits I really didn't like in the comic. I'm fine with the adults dying, but the torture and murder of a small child doesn't sit well with me.

Mmmm...Cynder hate art. I rather wish there was more of that. It's cathartic and funny to look at.

There's hate art of TEN Cynder? Why? She practically wasn't even in the game. Methinks it's all done by some whiny DotD fans, or crabby Embrats from before DotD came out.

TEN Cynder barely had any screentime. The only reason anyone can hate her is because of her design or because of her VA. Her VA is awesome, and her design isn't bad. It's just funny (giant head).

But in others' opinions, they might dislike her design/voice actor/personality in TEN. It's not a fact that her design and VA are good. *shrug*

I think they done it because it's more cruel, or something. The art was recent enough, I think.

But if something exists, it can be loved or hated. There's no stopping people.

Like I said, those are the only things you can hate on. With that, I can only think that it's a Cyndork's way of getting "payback".

Her personality, VA, and appearance?
Those are the three exact reasons DotD Cynder gets hated on as well, more or less. Her mary-sue personality, her slutty apearance, and her emotionless VA.
With that, I think people can scrounge up some reasonable reasons to hate TEN Cynder as well. Her appearance (her funny shaped head, little body), her personality (in which she acts ashamed adn depressed/'emo') and her VA (because it may just not be the fan's idea VA for the character). Not saying they're good reasons, imo, but some fans dislike characters for some pretty rediculous reasons.
Ehh, same character. I don't think Cynder should be compared with all of her forms in the first place. If they mashed it all into one video game, I don't think we'd have people comparing her 'evil' form, her TEN form, and her DotD form. They'd either like the character, or dislike her.

Erhh, I don't know why I just typed so much, but it took a while so I'm not going to erase it. I don't even know how we got onto that topic.


SO, Anyway, on the topic of the comic: Is the artist still going to continue the comic, even if it's not necassarily on dA? I want to see what happens beyond page 19. From the spoilers she posted on the artwork of ABE Spyro and ABE Malefor/Ember's son, it looks like it'll get really interesting.

There is a page 20 and Mel is still doing the comic but she won't be posting any more of it to dA because the Cyndorks were being brats about it.
