Yeah...well here's ch 20 finally. It's really short since I can't come up with anything...but I'll break out eventually.
Chapter 20: Chat
Xragon gulped and the mic came back on. Serris stood glaring angrily at everyone as if challenging another one of them to challenge her as Ctix did. Xragon spoke, his voice betraying a lot of fear. “I-I’m sorry for that…everyone. M-My name is Xragon. I’m the master of this island. No need for formal address. As I was saying, I need you to go out into Island X. There are 14 different areas, each specific to a unique element. There, you will learn the secrets to harness each power in your own, unique, individual way. To make sure you aren’t attacked as what happened to Ash and a few others, I present a gift to each one of you. It’s what I gave Ctix. It’s the island symbol. All the pokemon here know and have one. Flash this if anyone gives you a hard time and they will let you pass.” Xragon said and placed a case of Emerald badges of the symbol. “And here.” Xragon placed another box filled with rolled up pieces of paper. “Maps of this region. No doubt this is a vast place. You surely need some direction.” Xragon gestured for them to come and take it. “Well, I guess you’ve all had a long journey, so there are rooms to your right. Each one. Dinner at quarter to 7:00. Rest up. Just relax for now. We have pressing matters ahead.” Xragon said then the mic went down. Xragon sighed. The room once again bustled with chatter. Most returned to the rooms, but some stayed like the Champions and talked with Xragon. Cynthia was busy talking to Serris. “So, how did you beat all of those pokemon with more skill than a normal Zoroark?” She asked him.
Serrs replied casually. “I know the secret of the Dark type pokemon.” She said simply. Cynthia was curious. “What is it?” Serris just looked at the Sinnoh champion smugly. “You’ll have to figure it out when you get to the dark type area.” Cynthia was slightly miffed by it and that was the end of the conversation.
Diane Garrison, the ultimate Kanto trainer, walked up to Xragon. “So, how do I get my pokemon to block a full on Flash Cannon?” She asked a little jokingly. Xragon shrugged. “I…” He was interrupted as Lance came up. “Yes, that was quite a feat you pulled.”
Xragon replied sheepishly. “I didn’t do anything. It was all Serris.”
“No way! I’m pretty sure you had some involvement in it!” Lance exclaimed. Diane looked at Xragon waiting for an answer.
“I trained her under…extreme circumstances.” Xragon finally replied. Rayne Jones, ultimate trainer of Hoenn, decided that since everyone else was ganging up on Xragon, why couldn't she? "Really now? How do you do it?" Xragon was a little uncomfortable. "Hmm, okay, I'll tell you guys a little helpful hint for your journey. They both leaned in closer. Xragon leaned back a little. "Don't train each pokemon in the areas only specific to their type. Let your companions learn the secret of four or five of the areas. Preferably weaknesses and strengths. Most of the people here are going to try and train to each element. It won't be en--" Xragon's explanation was cut short as a loud explosion shook The Spire. Diane gulped. "What? What is it?" Xragon's face paled. "No...not now. So soon! How?" Rayne raised an eyebrow. "C'mon, spit it out." Xragon steeled himself. "The Mirage Syndicate. They're here." He breathed at last.
