This is a story about two Selenite Dragons, Spirit and Selena. They are the last of their species.
Prolouge
There were sounds echoing through the night sky. Meteors were hurdling towards the Celestic Mountains, bringing destruction and despair. Shrieks and roars cried out, as the Selenite Dragons realised their doom, there was no time to escape.
A lone mother flew into the air. She carried two eggs, one of her own brood, and one that was of her closest friend's, who perished in the meteor shower earlier that night. She wanted to save them, the last flicker of hope for her kind. She descended next to a river, and placed each egg in a small crystal nest. The mother's eyes shone with tears, and placed each egg in the river, and watched them float away as dust filled the air.
"Farewell, Guardians of Hope." she whispered, as she was struck by a fatal barricade of falling rocks.
The two eggs came upon a fork in the river. One egg, the mother's egg, went down the left river. The other egg went right. The two female dragons that had perished in the meteor shower had placed a safety on the eggs, protecting them from harm, but locking them away in a deep slumber for one hundred years or more. The dragons within, one male and one female, will be the revivers of the Selenite Dragons.
For they were the last survivers...
