But, after a meeting with a wise phoenix, will Kindle's mind change from one of a killer... to that of a hero?
Prologue
A fire orange dragoness with streeks of yellow and a few battle scars stood behind a gate. The sounds of cheering coming from ahead.
This was the teen dragoness' life: Fight to live or die trying.
As the gate oppened the dragoness charged out into the arena with a mighty roar. Making the large group of humans that had payed to see her slay her opponent cheer.
The dragoness got into a fighting stance as the second gate oppened, revealing a large, feirce hellhound.
The duo circled each other, waiting for the chance to strike.
The dragoness caught the hound off guard by moving her tail; making it leap at her.
The dragoness swiftly dodged the attack and sank her teeth into the animal's flesh, causing it to cry out in pain befor being thrown into a wall.
The hellhound stood up and waited for the dragoness to charge.
As the dragoness neared, the hellhound lunged to the side, making the dragoness come to a dead stop to avoid coliding with the wall.
Seeing its chance, the hellhound climbed up the dragoness' tail and dug its claws into her neck.
Enraged, the dragoness took flight, trying to shake her opponent.
The hound refused to let go, causing the dragoness to spiral to the ground in pain.
The hellhound smirked in victory as the ground neared. Once the dragoness was to hit the ground it would kill.
Unfortunately, the hound wasn't going to win this match.
The dragoness flipped over sideways in the air, making the hellhound hit the ground hard.
The dragoness landed on the ground safely, not worrying about her wounds.
One of the humans came out to see the results of the match. Feeling no pulse fromthe hellhound it was declared that the dragoness had won, sucessfuly killing her opponent.
"Another victory..." she began to herself "...brings me all the closer to top warrior."

Glad you guys liked this
Chapter 1 The dragoness now lie in the cell she was kept in, several other creatures around her. "Kindle, the top warrior" She said quietly "I like the sound of that." "You must be pretty full of yourself then dragoness." someone said. The dragoness, Kindle, turned around to face the speaker. "Now who are you to say that to me?" She asked, "Show yourself!" "Very well oh arrogent one" the mysterious speaker said sarcasticaly, spreading his wings. A bird the size of Kindle landed in front of the said dragon, looking her in the eyes. "Who and what are you?" Kindle asked the bird. "I am Streek," the bird began, "I am a phoenix" "A phoenix?" Kindle questioned, voice filled with slight curiousity. Streek nodded as he preened his fire-orange feathers. "Answer me this Kindle..." he began, "Have you ever felt empty inside? Like you have a destiny somewhere else?" Kindle only laughed, "Ha, a destiny? My destiny is here. It's to become top warrior!" Streek sighed "You don't understand do you?" He questioned. "What is there to understand?" Kindle snapped, getting annoyed by the phoenix before her. "You'll find out Kindle" Streek said, "You'll find out." With a high pitched cry Streek flew off into the shadows of the barely-lit room, now gone without a trace. Or so it was thought. Kindle finally lie down, her next match wouldn't be for awhile. ------ When she awoke, kindle felt something around her neck. The dragoness reached up to touch it, it was a pendant of some sort. The markings on the silver rim were pure gold, and in the center.... was a single fire-orange feather. Kindle tried to take the pendant off, only to find that it wouldn't come off. She growled in fustration, how would she fight with this thing around her neck? Looking down once more, Kindle saw that the pendant was gone, yet she could still feel as if it were there. The humans came in, Kindle forced the thought of the pendant behind her as they oppened the cell, tossed a rope arround her neck, and walked off with her. Meanwhile, In the shadows, a pair of green eyes oppened. "You'll understand soon Kindle." Streek said, a smirk crossing his beak. "Very soon." -------- Kindle stepped into the ring, a deep growl comming from her. The second gate oppened, a powerful wolf bounded out, snarling feircely at his opponent. With the sound of a bell ringing, the opponents lunged at each other, ready to kill. Hope you enjoyed this chapter

Sorry I haaven't updated in awhile, I've been working on my other fanfics.
Here's a new chapter. Chapter 2 The wolf charged at Kindle, teeth bared. Kindle followed suit, lunging at the oncomming wolf. The wolf had only lept at Kindle as a distraction; for a few seconds before the dragoness' maw snapped shut it dodged. Kindle was knocked sideways and up against the wall of the arena. The wolf used her temporary paralysis to its advantage and sunk its fangs into the dragoness' scales. Kindle was thrown across the field with strong force, hitting against another wall. Cheers and boos came from the large crowd around them. The wolf howled as it once more attacked Kindle. Slashing its claws along her back and underbelly. Kindle had taught herself not to feel pain; but the slash the wolf made on her underbelly hurt. The wolf placed its left front paw on Kindle's side, digging its claws into it. His front right paw raised directly above the immobile dragoness. "Any last words before I kill you?" It snarled as it got ready to finish Kindle off. Kindle smirked "You... loose" she stated. In a blink of an eye the wolf was on the ground, singe marks from the power of Kindle's fire attack had caught it off guard. Leaving it vulnerable to death as it struggled to stand. Kindle only laughed in amusement at the wolf's struggle, her arrogence showing greatly to everyone. Once the wolf got to its feet Kindle charged, her fangs sinking deep into the wolf's neck. The life slowly fadded from the canine's eyes as it fell limp in the jaws of it's opponent. Kindle tossed the dead wolf aside, happy with her kill. The phoenix had been wrong. This WAS her destiny, nothing else would stand in her way. Not even him. ------- Kindle was once more in the cell she had been in her entire life, flinching in pain as the wound on her underbelly was irritated. "Stupid wolf" she growled. Kindle noticed that her necklace has showed itself again. Once more she attempted to remove it; by to no avail as her actions caused pain. "Need some help with that dragoness?" A familiar voice asked from the corner of the cage. "No phoenix I don't need any help." Kindle replied bluntly as she continued her attempt to remove the necklace. The sound of tallons hitting metal could be heard as Streek strutted to the front of Kindle's cell. "You are aware that you won't get that off right?" He asked as if mocking the dragoness. Annoyed, Kindle gared at Streek. "What did you do?!" she snapped. "Oh nothing really." Streek replied "Just giving you a little hint." "Stop being so secretive and tell me!" Kindle roared as she stood up. SHe regreted this move as a sharp pain shot through her. She collapsed on the ground. "Like I asked earlier. Do you need some help with that wound?" "What can you do? You're just a elemental bird." "That is where you are wrong Kindle." Streek gracefuly flew through the opening above the bars and landed before Kindle. "Impressed arrogent one?" He asked. "Please don't call me that and just answer my question" Kindle replied. "Roll over so I can see the wound on your chest." Streek ordered calmly. "Why?" "Just do it" Seeing as there was no point arguing with the phoenix before her Kindle rolled over, revealing the wound on her underbelly. Streek's eyes filled with tears that slowly dripped down onto the wound. Kindle watched in pure amazement as each tear made the wound close and heal. "How did you..." Kindle was cut off as Streek raised his wing. "Phoenix tears have the power to heal wounds" he explained. I will tell you more later. Once your 'masters' are gone." With that Streek flew out of the cell, vanishing without a trace. I'm not even going to ask how he does that Kindle thought looking down once more to where the necklace she was given once was visible. As day turns to dusk another day passes. As dusk turns to day another night is gone. Time is a valuable cycle. A world rotates around the sun, space aids time as it flows by. Every day has new adventures for most, beginings for some, or sorrow for others. Streek mentaly sung to himself. One must understand that their destiny can change. But only if they can accept that fact will they learn. This is a lesson needed to be taught to all. Short chapter but meh, its late here so I have to get off. Hope you enjoyed that chapter. Dispite the fact that it's short and is a filler
