Prologue

Spyro and Cynder flew around.
"Can't catch me, Cynder!" shouted Spyro.
"Oh yes I can!" replied Cynder, tagging Spyro.
"Oh man!" said Spyro, chasing after Cynder.
After the defeat of Malefor and the savior of the world, Spyro and Cynder were at peace.
Ignitus had died, that was sad enough.
Spyro chased Cynder into a Grove.
Cynder hid in a log.
Spyro flew past her and turned his head, spotting Cynder.
"Spyro! Watch out!" shouted Cynder.
Spyro crashed into a huge tree.
Spyro looked at it.
"Could it be....... yes it is....... it's...... the Chronicler's Ancient Tree, what I never found, so this must be..... the Ancient Grove....." said Spyro loosing conscience.
"Spyro!" shouted Cynder

PART 1 R.E.V.E.N.G.E (Really Evil Villains Emerge Near Giant Earthquake)

Chapter 1

Spyro woke up.
Cynder was gone.
"Hello? Cynder?" Spyro asked.
Spyro looked around, he was in a dream.
"I have summoned you, young dragon." said a familiar voice.
"Your not the Chronicler!" exclaimed Spyro.
"I am afraid the Chronicler has moved on to the realm in the sky, I'm the new one." said the Chronicler.
"That is to bad." Spyro said.
"Listen to me, I have news for you." said the Chronicler.
"Wait, you sound familiar." said Spyro.
"Because I am, young dragon." replied the Chronicler.
"Ignitus? Is that you?" Spyro asked.
"It is I, Spyro." said Ignitus.
"Ignitus! I thought you died." said Spyro.
"I did, but my Spirit lived on, like what I told you at the end of the world." explained Ignitus.
"I missed you, Ignitus." said Spyro.
"My warning." reminded Ignitus.
"Oh, continue." replied Spyro.
"You defeated Malefor long ago, but you didn't kill him." said Ignitus.
"The Ancestors took him underground." replied Spyro.
"Right, but they didn't kill him, Malefor will return." said Ignitus.
"No..... He can't escape, they trapped him there!" worried Spyro.
"He will," said Ignitus, "and this time he is not alone."
"I have to stop him, he'll try to destroy the world if I don't." said Spyro.
"This is why I summoned you, you don't have much time left." replied Ignitus.
"Where can I find him?" Spyro asked.
"At his lair, deep in the Volcano, where you battled him." replied Ignitus.
"Okay, thanks Ignitus!" thanked Spyro.
"So long, young Dragon, I hope we meet again." said Ignitus.
The Background began to fade as Spyro appeared in the Ancient Grove.
Cynder was there.
"Spyro! I was so worried!"shouted Cynder.
"Cynder, we're no longer playing Tag right now, we must move." said Spyro.
"Why?" asked Cynder.
"Malefor will return, we must stop that from happening." said Spyro.
"What? That's impossible!" exclaimed Cynder.
"No it isn't, Ignitus summoned me." explained Spyro.
"Ignitus? He Died." said Cynder.
"His spirit moved on, he is the new Chronicler." continued Spyro.
"Oh fine, we must stop Malefor." replied Cynder.
And So the two set off.
Spyro and Cynder walked down the path until they heard a rustle in a bush.
"Grublins." said Spyro.
Spyro and Cynder were immediately greeted by Grublins.
The Grublins whacked at them with their clubs.
Spyro shot a earth missile.
Cynder did a Dragon Dance.
"Retreat!" shouted 1 Grublin.
All the Grublins flew away.
"Why are they retreating?" Cynder asked.
"The Golem is back, probably." said Spyro.
"It came from over there." said a voice.
Spyro and Cynder turned around and Pirates came out of a bush.
"Not them!" said Spyro.
"It's Spyro and Cynder the dragons Skabb captured years ago! Get them!" ordered the leader of the pack.
The Pirates grabbed Spyro and Cynder and realized they had chains on them.
"Someone already Shackled them." said the Pirates.
And so the Pirates took Spyro and Cynder to their ships.
They flew away.

Chapter 2

"You shall perish, us pirates have sealed any possible exit with steal, you won't escape the Arena this time!" said the leader of the pack.
"Oh no......" said Spyro.
The Pirates flew the small ship to the Main ship.
"There it lies, Captain Skabb's ship. He hasn't been forgotten." said the Leader Pirate.
The Ship came level to level with the deck of Skabb's ship.
"Move!" ordered the Leader Pirate as he pushed Spyro and Cynder off the ship.
The Pirates immediately took Spyro and Cynder inside.
"Here are 'ye cellar." said the Leader Pirate as he threw Spyro and Cynder into their cellars.
"Captured something, eh?" asked a familiar voice.
"Yes, and you are going to love it." said the Leader Pirate.
Scratch and Sniff looked into the cellar.
"Spyro and Cynder the dragons?! They've have caused us lots of trouble, it took us 50 years to rebuild this ship. I am glad you caught them, now they shall perish!" said Sniff.
"Well? Go on! Go back to Hunting! Shew!" said Scratch waving the Pirates away.
He turned to look at Spyro.
"You have a battle to go to. Cynder, you have one after him!" said Scratch.
2 Pirates came and opened the cellar.
"Boss, they're chained together with magic." said 1 Pirate.
"Looks like the work of Malefor, the one who attacked us long ago, very well. We'll have to cut it." said Sniff.
"You can't cut it! It's magic!" exclaimed Cynder.
1 of the Pirates whipped her.
"Don't talk back to me!" ordered Sniff.
Cynder winced in pain.
"As I was saying, we'll have to cut it, no I have a better Idea! We'll cut one of your necks off!" said Sniff.
"But that would kill us!" said Cynder.
The Pirate whipped her again.
"That's the point! Let's see, I think I know who will get it, Cynder!" shouted Scratch.
"Yes." agreed Sniff.
The Pirates nodded.
"No..........." said Spyro.
Cynder wept
"Don't cry," ordered Sniff as the Pirate whipped Cynder, "save that for when we kill you!"
Cynder quit crying.
"Take them to the emergency room. The Show is about to start, Spyro needs to get out there!" ordered Scratch.
The Pirates took Spyro and Cynder into a dark room and laid Cynder on a table, chaining Spyro to a bar on the door.
Cynder started to cry as 1 Pirate took out his Sword.
Spyro squinted his eyes and bit his lip, but then felt a jerk on his chain.
A Hand was untying it from the bar.
Whoever it was couldn't get in because the door was locked up.
Spyro opened his eyes.
He was free from the chain!
Spyro flamed the Pirates.
The Pirate dropped the sword and died.
The Other Pirates did the same.
Cynder got off the table and walked over to Spyro.
"How did you-" asked Cynder.
"It was me." said a voice.
A Cheetah stepped into the room.
"Hunter!" shouted Spyro.
"Yes, it is I, we were afraid you didn't survive, after the world was at peace we went looking for you, that was 47 years ago." said Hunter.
"We're sorry, we weren't thinking and didn't know it had been that long since we saw y-" said Cynder.
"Hey! Boss, they're escaping!" shouted a Pirate outside the room.
"Uh Oh!" they all said.
They ran out the door.
Sniff was at the end of the hall watching, with 100 Pirates with him.
Scratch stood at the other end with 100 other Pirates.
"Going somewhere?" asked Sniff.
Scratch squinted his eyes, "I can't believe it! It's Hunter of Avalar, another old prisoner!"
Hunter pulled out his bow.
A Pirate swiped it.
"We can't fight them." whispered Spyro.
"Follow me." replied Hunter.
Hunter ran to the center of the hallway and into a room.
Spyro and Cynder followed.
"Get them!" ordered Sniff.
The 3 heroes were now in the Arena.
Scratch, Sniff, and the 200 Pirates ran into the arena.
Pirates sat in their seats and laughed, thinking this was part of the show.
Spyro and Cynder ran towards the door on the other side of the arena.
Hunter followed.
They went into the second Hallway beyond that door.
Spyro and Cynder hid in different rooms.
Hunter hid in a room as well.
"What are we doing?" asked Hunter.
"We're using these cannons to blow an exit in the ship." said Cynder.
Spyro shot his cannon at the ceiling of the arena, for his connected to the arena.
Cynder's and Hunter's were the same.
They shot theirs.
The 3 blew a hole in the roof of the arena.
Scratch, Sniff, and the Pirates came into the Hallway.
"Get them, before they escape!" ordered Scratch.
The 3 heroes ran down the other end of the hallway and back into the Arena from a different door.
Spyro and Cynder flew out the hole.
Hunter jumped up to the hole and then out of it.
Spyro and Cynder ran towards the steering wheel on the deck.
Hunter followed.
He grabbed the steering wheal and began to turn it.
The Ship went towards the Ocean.
Scratch, Sniff, and the Pirates came up on deck.
"Attack!" ordered Sniff.
The Pirates ran towards the 3.
Spyro shot a electricity bolt and Cynder shot venom breath at the Pirates.
10 Pirates died.
Spyro and Cynder meleed 5 Pirates and defeated them.
The Ship whirled straight towards the Ocean.
"Spyro! Cynder! Come on!" shouted Hunter.
Spyro, Cynder, and Hunter ran towards the plank.
Spyro and Cynder flew away from the Ship.
Hunter jumped off the plank.
The Ship crashed into a huge rock in the Ocean, creating an explosion from it's cannons.
Hunter landed on a beach of the Dragon Kingdom.
Spyro and Cynder did the same.
"Wow, that was such a ride." said Spyro.
"Indeed." said Hunter.

Chapter 3

Cynder was breathless.
"At least they're out of the way." said Cynder.
Hunter looked across the Horizon.
"No, it can't be." said Hunter.
"What?" asked Spyro.
Just by the looks of Twilight, it seems that a Eclipse will come, soon." said Hunter.
"Oh no. Hunter, Malefor is coming back, we didn't exactly kill him." said Spyro.
"This is terrible, but we must not loose hope." said Hunter.
"Hunter is right." exclaimed Cynder.
"We must move quickly." said Hunter.
"We need to reach the Dragon City." said Spyro.
"Why?" asked Cynder.
"We need Terrador, Cyril, Volteer, and Sparx to come and help." replied Spyro.
"Spyro is right." said Hunter.
A High pitch shriek was heard from somewhere near by.
It became louder.
"What is that?!" wondered Cynder.
"A Dreadwing, I haven't seen one of those in years." said Hunter.
"But I thought they were extinct." said Spyro.
"They were, the last one seen was Assassin's." replied Hunter.
"Um, that's because it is Assassin's!" shouted Cynder as she pointed at a hill.
There stood a Dreadwing, with, riding it, a Dark suit of Armor, Assassin.
"Assassin." said Spyro.
"Spyro!" shouted Assassin.
"Prepare to die!!" roared Assassin as he flew at Spyro.
The Dreadwing pinned Spyro down.
Cynder scratched at Assassin, while Hunter found his bow on the shore and grabbed it.
The Dreadwing hissed as it bit Spyro.
Spyro winced in pain.
Hunter shot a arrow at Assassin.
Assassin slashed at Cynder and dodged the arrow.
Spyro flamed the Dreadwing.
The Dreadwing hissed and smacked Spyro with it's wing.
Cynder's wings were ripped.
Cynder fell to the ground.
Assassin slashed his sword at Spyro.
Hunter shot a arrow at Assassin.
Assassin was hit.
He fell off his Dreadwing.
The Dreadwing knocked Spyro unconscious.
Assassin jumped onto Cynder and cut the tip of her tail spike off.
Cynder winced in pain as she licked the wound.
Hunter shot another arrow at Assassin.
Assassin ducked and cut another piece of Cynder's tail spike off.
Cynder lost conscious from the attack.
Assassin picked Cynder up.
He hopped back on his Dreadwing and flew towards Spyro.
Hunter shot the Dreadwing with a arrow.
The Dreadwing roared in pain as it and Assassin, along with Cynder, flew away.
Spyro woke up.
"What happened? Where's Cynder?" asked Spyro.
"Assassin has kidnapped her." said Hunter.
"Oh no!" shouted Spyro.

Chapter 4

Spyro and Hunter trailed across a forest.
"We have to save her! This has happened before and I don't want it to happen again!" exclaimed Spyro as he ran down a hill.
"Spyro wait!" shouted Hunter.
Spyro ran through a waterfall, but didn't hit a wall, he hit a secret tunnel.
Hunter reached the Waterfall, "Spyro, I know your in there!"
Stepping into the waterfall, Hunter collapsed into the tunnel.
"Hunter, what is this place?" asked Spyro.
"The Crystal cave, the only place where you can have the answer to an impossible question, home to the Corener (Corner)." replied Hunter.
Spyro gasped, Who or what is the Corener?"
"The Corener is a Stone that knows anything, even the impossible, but to ask him a question, you must choose the right stone out of many, or you shall die." explained Hunter.
"Assassin might not of taken Cynder to Malefor's lair, I have to ask where he took her!" said Spyro.
"No Spyro, it's too risky." replied Hunter.
"But I must!" exclaimed Spyro as he ran down the hallway.
Hunter ran after him, "Spyro, no!"
But it was too late, Spyro was surrounded by stones in a huge chamber.
"Hello?" asked Spyro.
10 figures formed in 10 stones, one in each.
They were faces.
"Pick me!" shouted the 1st.
"Don't listen to that liar, pick me and you shall grow rich!" shouted the 2nd.
"Pick me and I'll give you all my love!" shouted the 3rd.
"I will get rid of all your foes if you pick me!" shouted the 4th.
"I own a castle and will give it to you if you pick me!" shouted the 5th.
"Don't listen to that fool, it's I who is the correct voice." moaned the 6th.
"It's me! I tell you, me!" exclaimed the 7th.
"Pick me and you'll get a lot of friends!" said the 8th.
"It is me who is telling the truth, me!" said the 9th.
"If you choose me, you'll have a fun life!" moaned the 10th.
"It's me! Me, I tell you, all me!" shouted the 7th again.
"No it is me." said the 1st.
"Friends." said the 8th.
"All your foes will be gone." said the 4th.
"It's me!" shouted the 7th again.
"Their all liars!" shouted the 2nd.
"No, your a liar." exclaimed the 5th.
Spyro couldn't decide he didn't know what to choose and knew he would have to soon. He couldn't tell. Which one? Suddenly, Spyro got a idea, "it's all of them!"
All the Stones stopped talking for 10 full seconds.
Then a Huge Stone in the center said, "what is your question?"
Spyro breathed a sigh of relief and then responded, "Where has Assassin taken Cynder?"
"He has taken her to the........." the Stone tried to say, but a blazing flame came towards it.
Spyro zoomed around and saw someone in the shadows, Hunter? No, it had wings. He walked towards the figure and saw that it was a Dreadwing, "Assassin."
10 dreadwings came in.
Assassin rode the biggest.
"Prepare to die!" he shouted.
Spyro stepped back as the dreadwings jumped at me.
Assassin threw bombs around the chamber.
Spyro did a fire fury on the Dreadwing and dove under Assassin's Dreadwing and ran off.
The Bombs blew up and the chamber collapsed. My only chance to find Cynder, ruined. thought Spyro.
Assassin chased after Spyro.
Spyro saw Hunter, "Spyro, slow down."
Hunter saw assassin and ran with Spyro.
Spyro and Hunter reached the Waterfall and jumped out of the tunnel.
Shooting a bow, Hunter jumped up into the trees and hid as he hopped away. The Bow hit Assassin and Spyro flew away while Assassin wasn't looking and escaped.
Landing at a Swamp, Spyro looked around for Hunter.
Hunter came jumping over to Spyro.

Chapter 5

"This is a nightmare, we don't even know where Cynder is!" cried Spyro.
"We'll find her." Hunter said.
Spyro looked at the swampland and gulped at the monsters that lie inside.
"The Haunted Marsh." responded Hunter.
"We have to cross it." Spyro said.
Spyro took a step into the water.
A giant squid grabbed his paw and took him underwater.
"Help!" shouted Spyro.
"Don't worry Spyro!" ordered Hunter as he shot an arrow into the Squid's eye.
Spyro fell to the ground ontop of a small Island.
"Hope that doesn't happen again." said Spyro as the Squid died.
"It won't." declared Hunter.
Spyro flew across the marsh and Hutner jumped from rock to rock.
10 crocodiles slithered in the water and then surrounded Hunter.
"Help!" shouted Hunter.
Spyro zoomed down and torched them with a fireball.
Hunter and Spyro moved on.
5 Grublins flew through the forest.
"- Malefor and Chaos are sure to win." Spyro heard one say.
"- agree, Chaos's plan will work-" said another.
Spyro ducked behind a rock on a island.
"I have the feeling someone heard us." whispered the 3rd.
"Nah." said the 4th.
"Lets get out of here." ordered the 5th.
The Grublins flew away.
"Who's Chaos?" Spyro asked Hunter.
"I'm not sure, but this sounds bad." replied Hunter.
Spyro and Hunter reached the other side of the marsh and made camp.
"We'll leave in the morning." said Hunter, eating his chicken.
Spyro took a bite out of his chicken.

"What?" asked Spyro.
"I have just found out who is behind all this trouble. His name is-" began Ignitus.
"Shut up!" shouted an angry voice.
"Spyro! Help. He's... He's....-" began Ignitus.
But Ignitus's vision faded away.
"Ignitus! What's happening?" asked Spyro.
"You have to help me!" shrieked Ignitus.
"I will be there as soon as possible!" cried Spyro.
"Hurry, or he'll......." began Ignitus, but the vision went away.
"Ignitus!" shouted Spyro.

Spyro woke up with a start.

Chapter 6

"Hunter, we have to get to the Celestial Caves." said Spyro.
"Why?" asked Hunter.
"Ignitus is in trouble!" shouted Spyro as he flew up into the sky.
Hunter ran on his fast feet, worried.
"The Celestial Caves is East from here, near the Ruins of the Mountain of Malefor. But it's far away from Malefor's lair." said Hunter as he dodged a tree.
"Anything to save Ignitus." responded Spyro.
5 grublins flew in the air.
"The purple dragon! Get him!" ordered the 1st.
The 4 flew at Spyro.
Spyro shot flames from his mouth and torched them.
A Troll popped out of the ground and grabbed Spyro by the leg.
Hunter shot a bow at the Troll's eye.
The Troll roared and fell to the ground.
Hunter jumped over the Troll and raced off with Spyro.
The remaining Grublin took a potion and grew huge.
"Your not getting away!" cried the Grublin.
Spyro evaded as the Grublin swiped at him.
Spyro shot ice and froze the Grublins right hand.
Hunter shot an arrow at it and broke it's hand off.
The Grublin roared and swiped it's club at Hunter.
Spyro shot fire at it.
The Club was on fire, "Uh oh."
The Grublin swiped it's club with the fire blazing.
Spyro evaded and shot Electricity.
The Grublin was shocked.
Hunter evaded the grublin's left hand.
Spyro created a Electricity Fury.
The Grublin was caught it a Thunderstorm, being shocked all over.
The Grublin fell to the ground, stunned.
Spyro couldn't reach the grublin's hand, and it would take to long to fly up, so he made earth steps with Earth.
Spyro ran up the steps and froze the Grublins left hand.
Hunter shot a bow at it and also broke it off.
The Grublins shrieked and shot fire from it's mouth.
Spyro stopped it with a Earth wall.
The Grublin grumbled.
Spyro shot an Electricity Fury and shocked the Grublin stunned.
He made Earth steps and tried to use ice, but it had a ice shield on.
Spyro torched the grublin with fire.
The Grublin caught on fire and fell to the ground.
"You'll pay for this! Malefor will return!" cried the Grublin as it turned to ash.
Spyro saw the Troll getting up, so he froze it in place and began flying.
Hunter shot a bow at it and shattered it to pieces, he then ran off.
The forest was now silent as they escaped.
Spyro saw the Catacombs coming into focus.

Chapter 7

"We're now entering the catacombs." said Hunter.

"We need to hurry." said Spyro.

The two ran into the dark catacombs and entered a huge cavern. A huge Golem popped out of the shadows. It roared and slashed its big hand.

"Run!" cried Hunter.

The two dodged the Golem's blows and quickly ran down the path.

The Golem slammed its fists and then clutched onto Spyro. It tossed him up in the air and raised its fist to punch him.

Hunter quickly shot an arrow in its eye.

The Golem roared in pain and fell into the shadows.

The two quickly ran for their lives and entered a treasure room. A huge chest sat on a table ahead.

"Don't touch anything, this treasure is surely cursed by Malefor himself." warned Hunter as he continued on.

Spyro followed behind.

A shadow lurked across the stone cold walls.

Spyro and Hunter entered a chamber. A huge statue of Malefor stood there in the center.

"Malefor, how ugly he is." said Spyro at the horrible face.

A huge warrior ran into the chamber and slashed his sword hard at Spyro.

Spyro was hit and he fell to the ground.

Hunter quickly shot an arrow at him.

The warrior blocked it with his shield. He quickly slashed harder.

Spyro moaned in pain. He quickly got up and tailslashed the warrior.

The warrior roared in anger and quickly slashed Hunter before he could fire another arrow at him.

Hunter fell to the ground.

Spyro quickly flamed the warrior.

The warrior growled in rage and quickly slashed Spyro hard, knocking him to the ground.

Spyro moaned even more.

Hunter got up and shot an arrow into the warrior's arm.

The warrior growled and quickly threw his sword at Hunter.

Hunter dodged and shot an arrow at the warrior's head.

The warrior growled and ran over to Malefor's statue. A large crack
appeared in it as the warrior's sword hit it.

The ugly Malefor collapsed on top of the warrior, killing him.

Spyro and Hunter went into the next room which lead to a lavafall (a waterfall made of lava).

Spyro flew down it and across a lava river.

Hunter jumped down it and landed on a stone and began to hop from stone to stone to the end of the river.

They got off at a huge battle arena which stood the Golem.

It roared and smacked Hunter to the ground with its hand.

Hunter was unconscious.

Spyro attacked the golem's hands and then shot a earth missile into its eye.

The Golem roared and climbed the wall and went to the surface. It roared as it walked away.

"Oh no..." said Spyro.

He grabbed Hunter and flew to the surface.

Chapter 8


Spyro landed and softly laid Hunter on the ground. He quickly tried to wake him up as the cold wind patted at his face and leaves flew around the quiet area. Then he spotted a small pool of water that was about and inch deep. Spyro picked up the unconscious Hunter and and slowly walked over to the pool of water and tossed Hunter into it.

Hunter immediately woke up. He snapped at Spyro, "Why did you have to do that?!" Hunter was as angry as a storm and his face was red. He got up out of the water and walked over to Spyro.

Spyro shrugged, red faced. He stared at Hunter and then noticed the Golem heading for Warfang out of the corner of his eye. He said to Hunter, "Hunter, the Golem is about to get into Warfang, and if he does then the whole city will be destroyed!!"

Hunter was shocked, wide eyed. He stared at Spyro and then turned to face the Golem's figure walk over a hill and towards Warfang. He ran towards it, growling.

Spyro followed him, "Slow down, Hunter!" He flew faster and caught up with Hunter. They both ran up the hill and stood at the very top, but it was too late, for the Golem had already reached the city.

Chapter 9

Spyro and Hunter jumped off of hill and landed soflty in Warfang's plaza. They looked at the Golem who was knocking down buildings with his stone fist. Spyro flew at the Golem and began to breathe ice all over his head.

The Golem roared and knocked Spyro away. The lava on his head melted the ice. He grabbed at Hunter.

Hunter jumped out of the way and shot an arrow at the Golem's eye. He stepped back as the Golem roared and shot fire out of his mouth and at Hunter.

The Golem roared again and was just about to squash Hunter when Spyro flew at him. He swiped at him, but failed to hit him.

Spyro flew around the Golem and then hovered above his head. Then he formed the earthball and fell on top of the Golem's head with a great big bang.

The Golem roared in pain and grabbed Spyro. He began to squeeze him. With his other hand, the Golem knocked Hunter into a building. He continued squeezing Spyro.

Just then, earth shot at the Golem's back along with ice and electricity. Behind the Golem hovered the three dragons, Terrador, Volteer, and Cyril. They charged into the Golem.

The Golem roared and knocked them away. He breathed fire at Spyro.

Then Hunter shot an arrow at the Golem's hand, causing him to drop Spyro just before the fire touched him. The Golem roared and charged at Hunter.

Hunter jumped out of the way. The Golem slammed himself into a tower, causing it to fall at him. The Golem attempted to move out of the way.

Cyril and Spyro began to shoot the Golem with polar bombs over and over, causing it to freeze in place. The Golem broke free of the ice, but was too late, for the tower hit him in the back. The Golem fell to the ground, dead.

The four dragons landed on the ground next to Hunter. Volteer was the first to speak, "Absolutely, possitivaly, heroically, great, extraordinary, the most victorious battle I've ever seen!"

Everyone stared at Volteer, telling him to stop. Volteer stopped and looked at Cyril. Cyril said, "Ah young dragon, that was the best fight I have ever done in a thousand years! I was so heroic!"

Spyro began to growl. Terrador shoved Cyril. Cyril replied, "I mean you were so heroic." Spyro stopped growling.

"Terrador, Cyril, Volteer, something strange has been happening." said Spyro.

"I know young dragon. This prophecy was written many millinia ago." replied Terrador.

"What prophecy? Is there something I don't know?" asked Spyro.

A quiet pause. Cyril broke the pause, "Where's Cynder?"

"PLEASE! I want to know!" cried Spyro.

"Young dragon, many years ago, the ancestors prophecied a reign of dark power that would shroud the land; something worse than the dark master. This prophecy foretold that a mysterious figure was appear from a whole nother dimension and seek to destroy ours. This figure would also bring Malefor back." explained Terrador.

"Who's this warrior? What will happen? Where can I find him?" asked Spyro.

"We don't know. All the prophecy says is that this figure would appear near the world's biggest catastrophe. Now where is Cynder?" asked Terrador.

Spyro frowned and dropped his head to the ground, " Cynder was captured by the Assassin."

"We must rescue her!" exclaimed Cyril.

"Hold on Cyril, we must not rush this. Most likely, this Assassin has taken Cynder to the location of the warrior. You must find this darkness to find Cynder." said Terrador.

"Well can you help us?" asked Hunter.

"I'm afraid not. I am much to old and so is Cyril and Volteer," said Terrador, Cyril and Volteer frowned, Terrador continued, "You must travel there without our help this time. Let the ancestors look after you, may they look after us all; this was once said by a very special dragon."

"Oh! About Ignitus, he's alive, and he's the Chronicler! But something terrible has happened to him." said Spyro.

"Whatever it is will most likely be solved at the location of the figure." said Volteer.

"Volteer is right. Now get going, please!" ordered Terrador.

Spyro and Hunter walked off towards the torched plains.

"You think they will be fine?" asked Cyril.

Terrador nodded, "Spyro is a purple dragon. Yes he will be fine."

Chapter 10

Spyro slowly walked towards the Torched Plains as he began to see huge, explosive volcanoes. He noticed the gigantic volcano that he and Cynder had once fought and defeated Malefor in. That seemed so long ago, yet it was only a few months ago.

Hunter was silent as he marched on. No fear was showing in Hunter's eyes as he thought about the oncoming darkness that this world would become. But something was in Hunter's soul, something sad that he had held in his heart for ages to come.

Spyro noticed this, but didn't say a word. He was still thinking about Cynder and how the ultimate evil would soon return to wreck havoc. He also pondered about Malefor, who, as Ignitus had prophecyed, would soon return along side the ultimate evil.

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Spyro noticed a small, baby dragon trying to gain up to his mother, a beautiful, green dragoness. This suddenly caught his eye, for right then Spyro remembered something very close to him that he had never thought about.

"Where are my parents?!" gasped Spyro as he began to think about his actual parents, not Sparx's, but his real parents.

Spyro had never known who his parents were, and so he wondered who they may be. Deep within himself, Spyro lusted to find his mother, his true mother. And even his father, who was also a mystery to him. Spyro then noticed that the baby dragon was purple with a yellow horns and purple eyes; it was himself. The green dragon suddenly began to run off as the baby dragon began to cry out for his mother. It was left all alone.

Spyro gasped and ran towards the hatchling. The hatchling saw this and ran off. It suddenly disappeared into dark green mist. This must have been a vision to represent Spyro being left by his parents. He panted over and over, trying to let it in, but he soon found himself crying.

Hunter hadn't noticed, in fact he was already into the Torched Plains. It was just Spyro.

Spyro wiped away his tears and then made a commitment, "I will search forever and ever, and I will find my parents! I will not rest until I do!"

Spyro continued into the Torched Plains and followed Hunter until they began to reach a huge, green plain. Suddenly, a loud roar was heard, it echoed through the Torched Plains. It seemed to be coming from the same volcano that Spyro had fought Malefor in.

"Spyro, quick!! We must find shelter!" cried Hunter.

Spyro rushed after Hunter as he began to run towards a huge hole in the ground in the plain. He turned around and noticed the noise was growing louder. He dove into the hole along with Hunter and hid in a small hollow inside it.

Spyro waited for a minute as the roaring increased in volume. Suddenly, the sound of metal clanging was heard as green grublins and other strange monsters began to approach the perimeter of the hole.

The monsters clanged their swords together. The volume became louder and louder. The noise reached an end and silence was all that was left. The monsters had surrounded the hole and looked out towards the Torched Plains. Suddenly, the roar had been recognized.

A huge dragon had began to fly towards the hole with mighty speed. It had two rows of crests on its back and had several golden horns on its head. Its tail was long with a yellow point at the end. The dragon was ginormous and had huge muscles. Then Spyro noticed the dragon's eyes: They were red.

The dragon turned and looked towards where Spyro and Hunter were hiding. He didn't seem to notice though. Now Spyro had seen his scale color. Spyro gasped as he began to realize who this dragon was; it was a purple dragon. This dragon was none other than the dark master, Malefor.

Chapter 11

"What are they doing?" whispered Spyro to Hunter.

"I'm not sure. From the looks of it, it looks like they're harnessing something. They must be waiting for something." replied Hunter quietly.

"Attention grublins and orcs, creatures and monsters, prepare to witness the dawn of a new age of destruction!" roared Malefor's dark voice.

The crowd shrieked and roared in approval.

"Long have we waited for this age to come, yet that dreaded Spyro stopped us. But now we have a new enemy on our side; an enemy so trumendous, so powerful that he can bring the world to its end. He will soon be here, so be patient." said Malefor.

Spyro gasped quietly as he began to watch as Malefor raised his head up into the sky and roared, "Arz Qunzik K'nieg Swari, rise from your hideaway!!"

The grublins all began to laugh evilly as the ground began to rumble. A dark beam of power shot from the sky and into the hole Spyro and Hunter were hiding in. Luckily, they were just out of its reach.

"Now to offer a great sacrifice to those of which he needs!" exclaimed Malefor. Malefor spread his wing out and knocked an unsuspecting grublin into the beam.

"Spyro, we have to stop them!" whispered Hunter.

Spyro shushed Hunter silently.

"The ritual is complete. Now we must go and wait for the great one to come to our need." said Malefor as he led the creatures back into the Torched Plains.

Once they were gone, Spyro hopped out of the hole, careful to avoid the beam, and pulled Hunter out.

The ground began to rumble even more. Suddenly, the volcanoes in front of the two began to crumble and crash to the ground and great cracks began to form in the ground. The ground began to fall apart in huge canyons as the whole world began to crumble.

"It's an earthquake!" cried Spyro.

Hunter and Spyro were left on a small platform dangling above a pit of dispair. Spyro flew towards the Torched Plains, hoping to find somewhere to land, but to no success.

No land was in sight, just canyons leading to the center of the world. The ground continued to shake until Hunter noticed the Floating Islands above them. However, it was to far for them to reach it.

Hunter took out a long rope and an arrow. He tied to the rope to the end of the arrow and tossed it up to the Floating Islands. The arrow snagged onto the bottom of one of the islands. Hunter handed the rope to Spyro, "Go! This rope can't last much longer. Get up there!"

Spyro grabbed the rope, "Come with me!"

"I can't, that rope won't support both of us! You are the one who must save the world, not me! Now go, I'll be fine!!" ordered Hunter.

Spyro looked at Hunter and then began to climb up the rope. He was halfway up it when he saw the platform that Hunter was standing on collapse.

Hunter fell into one of the canyons and into a dark vortex.

"Hunter, no!!" exclaimed Spyro. He wanted to go rescue him, but the rope suddenly began to break. Spyro began to climb up the rope and leaped up onto the Floating Island just as the rope broke.

Spyro looked ahead and saw Malefor and his minions were waiting for him, "Ah, the purple dragon returns! Nice seing you again. But I am afraid that our time to talk as left, for you see, the world will soon collapse and nothing will be left. You will get in the way of the master's plan, that is why I must destroy you. Farewell, Spyro!! Muawahahaha!!"

Malefor shot a big block of ice at Spyro.

Before he could move, Spyro found himself plummeting of the Floating Islands and into the dark vortex that was swallowing the planet.

"So long, dragon!!" roared Malefor.

Spyro thought all was lost. He plunged into the dark vortex and suddenly couldn't see anything. He thought he was dead until a light appeared and formed a hole in the darkness.

Spyro looked through the hole and saw land on the other side. He slowly climbed through the hole and out into a strange new world. Strange creatures with arms and legs walked around.

Spyro was confused, "Where am I?"

PART 2 R.E.A.L.M.S. (Rushing Evil Announces Life Must Stop)

Chapter 12

Spyro looked around himself and saw that the strange inhabitants were in metallic machines with wheels. One of the creatures hit a button in the machine and a really loud noise was heard from the machine. The creature yelled to another, "Get off the road, moron!"

"Moron? What's a moron?" wondered Spyro.

Spyro had never seen anything like this before. Several of the creatures were rushing off with suit cases and jumping into long, yellow machines. What were these things?

Spyro walked down the road, but then remembered what all had happened a few moments ago. He cried out, "Hunter?! Where are you?"

Several creatures gave him a weird stare and rushed off.

Spyro didn't hear Hunter voice, so he continued down the road until he came across a strange building that read 'Chuck's Cheese Burgers'. "Cheese burgers?" wondered Spyro.

A creature walked out of the building and tossed a strange object into a bin full of garbage. Spyro looked at the object and saw that it was food. He pulled it out of the trash and took a bite; his eyes widened, "This is cow!"

A dragon's favorite food was a good cow. This place was kind of like home, but not much.

Spyro finished the food and continued through the strange place. He walked down a dark area and up to a dead end. He turned to leave when he saw several creatures watching him.

"It's a dragon." said one.

"I know." replied the other.

Spyro looked at the creatures, and they ran off. Spyro continued to look around and came across a great, big forest in the center of the place. A sign read 'New York Central Park'.

"New York?" wondered Spyro. He walked into the forest and noticed several of the creatures were feeding birds.

"What kind of place is this?" wondered Spyro. He continued through the forest and looked around. Soon the Sun disappeared and it was dark out. The forest was empty.

Spyro looked for his way out, but found that he was lost. He decided to sit down and try to remember how to get out of this place. He sat on a rock, but soon heard strange noises. "Who's there?!" Spyro cried out.

A black figure jumped out, its shadow stretched out. The figure landed in front of Spyro.

Spyro laughed. The figure was a rat.

"What are you laughing about?"asked the rat, "Never seen a rat before?"

"I'm sorry, it's just that you're so small. What's your name?" asked Spyro.

"I'm Cheese, and I know who you are." replied the rat.

"What?! How?" asked Spyro.

"I've seen little humans walking around the city with game machines. I got ahold of one of their games and I found you on it." said Cheese.

"What? Who could make a game about me with out seeing me?" asked Spyro.

"I don't know, but the humans probably do." replied Cheese.

"Humans? What are humans?" asked Spyro.

"What?! You come all the way here without even knowing what a human is? These people you see in this city are humans. They drive cars. You're in New York City, New York, you know, the United States?" said Cheese.

"Never heard of it. Anyways, Cheese, I was back at home fighting a dragon named Malefor when I was taken here. I lost a friend. His name is Hunter and I believe he may be here. Have you seen him?" asked Spyro.

"Sorry, but I haven't. Maybe I can go with you and see if we can find him?" asked Cheese.

"Okay, sure." said Spyro.

"Okay then. I know a good place to look. Ever heard of the Empire State Building?" asked Cheese.

Chapter 13

Cheese and Spyro had been walking the roads for hours looking for this Empire State Building. So far all Spyro knew was that it was one of the tallest buildings in the world according to Cheese.

Several humans cried because of seeing a rat; apparently rats were bad news here. For some reason, though, there were cries about Cheese than there were about Spyro, hadn't anyone noticed him?

Cheese stopped turned around to tell Spyro that they were here, "Welcome to the Empire State Building!"

Spyro looked up at the building, but couldn't see the top. "Oh, wow, Cheese, it really is big!" exclaimed Spyro.

"Exactly as I told you. This Hunter would probably not be inside because of all the humans inside, but he could be at the top. If he's not, then we can still get a good look around the city from up there." said Cheese.

"Well then let's go up there!" ordered Spyro.

Cheese didn't budge. He showed fear.

"Oh, I get it. You're afraid of heights aren't you?" asked Spyro.

Cheese nodded slowly. His cheeks turned red from embarrassment.

"Just close your eyes and I'll fly us up there." said Spyro.

Cheese agreed and closed his eyes. He hopped onto Spyro's back.

Spyro took flight and flew up towards the top of the building, "Hold on!" He flew to the top and landed on the roof. He looked down the building and at the small people below.

Spyro let Cheese off, "What next?"

"We need to get to the tippy-top of the roof. Then we'll be able to see all of New York." said Cheese.

Spyro climbed up the top of the roof and clung to the top of it. Several shouts and cries were heard from below when they noticed that a dragon was on the Empire State Building.

Cheese cried, "Be careful! The authorities may shoot at you..."

Spyro looked down at cars flashing red. Several men with blue suites came out with weapons.

Spyro quickly looked around the city and saw a big, green statue off in the distance, "What's that?"

"The Statue of Liberty. Now get down from there before they start shoot'in!" ordered Cheese.

A gun shot was heard as a bullet flew towards Spyro. Spyro quickly evaded it and slid to the bottom of the roof.

"Where'd he go?!" wondered the men below.

"Phew... that was close!" exclaimed Cheese.

Suddenly, a green figure popped up out of the roof. It was a grublin!

"Ahhh!!!" screamed Cheese as the grublin snatched him and ran off. It jumped off the building.

Spyro gasped and dove after the grublin. He flew to the bottom of the building at high speed. He reached the grublin and clutched it.

Before they hit the ground, however, an air bag inflated and broke their fall.

Spyro jumped off the inflatable and after the grublin, who had gotten away. People were saying ," Take him to a lab and study 'em!"

Spyro rushed through the crowd and onto the busy streets after the grublin. A truck struck Spyro in the side and Spyro fell to the ground. Amongst the chaos, the grublin got away with Cheese. It seemed to be heading towards this 'Statue of Liberty'.

Spyro got up and looked for this statue.

Chapter 14

Spyro ran through New York, searching everywhere for this 'Statue of Liberty'. He finally found it on the other side of a massive river on an island.

Spyro gasped as he saw how big the Statue of Liberty was. He flew acrossed the waters and towards the statue.

Several New Yorkers began to scream, "He's going to take down the Statue of Liberty now!"

Spyro reached the island and landed behind a rock as the blue-suited men began to shoot at him.

Spyro looked for the grublin and Cheese, but couldn't find them anywhere. He then looked up and saw that the crowd wasn't screaming at Spyro; they were screaming at a huge, green, furry monster holding a small rat on the head of the statue.

Spyro quickly began to climb up the statue as the men began to shoot at him somemore. He evaded the shots and continued to climb up the statue.

The green monster began to throw large stones down at Spyro as he began to climb.

Spyro sprang to the side and dodged the stones. He climbed up the statue to the neck, then to the head. He jumped up onto the head of the statue and looked down. He was hundreds of feet off the ground.

The grublin roared at Spyro. "Spyro, help!" cried Cheese.

The grubling swacked at Spyro with its giant club.

Spyro jumped out of the way and breathed fire on it. He continued until huge, roaring machines came flying towards them.

"Fire the rockets!" ordered the pilot.

Spyro quickly jumped out of the way and the grubling was hit by the soaring projectiles. The grublin roared in pain, but managed to stay on the head of the statue.

Spyro began to flame the grublin, but it formed a giant red shield with a fire emblem embeded into it. Spyro began to electricute the grublin with electricity.

The grublin roared in pain. The machine fired more rockets and hit the grublin, busting its shield.

The grublin formed a fire/electricity shield. It smashed the head of the statue and made an energy shock wave.

Spyro flew up into the way and blasted the grublin in the face with a huge ice shard. The grublin froze in place.

The rockets were shot yet again at the grublin, busting the ice and giving pain to the grublin. In rage, the grublin clutched the helicopter and threw it towards the river.

The pilot cried in alarm. The machine was just about to plummet into the river when a huge, white web shot out of know where and stopped the pilot from falling.

Spyro looked shocked. What had just happened?

Suddenly, the one behind the web sprang up to the grublin.

Shouts were heard from below, "It's the amazing Spider-man!"

"Spider-man? What's that?" whispered Spyro to himself as the figure wearing red and blue tights began to uppercut the grublin in the face.

'Spider-man' was knocked away. He landed next to Spyro, "Hey!"

"Hello." said Spyro.

"You're Spyro, aren't you?" asked Spider-man. "You don't have to answer that. Use your earth element and I'll swing you into that creature." ordered Spider-man.

Spyro did what he said and formed his earth ball. Spider-man shot a web at the ball and began to swing it around. He swung it into the grublin.

The grublin roared in pain as it was knocked towards the edge of the head. It growled and shot power into the air.

The power shot down at the two companions and zapped them.

"Again!" ordered Spider-man.

Yet again, Spyro was swung into the grublin. The grublin roared in pain and was knocked towards the edge of the head.

"One more time!" ordered Spider-man.

Spyro was flung into the grublin with a mighty blow. The grublin screamed as it fell off of the head and plummeted to the ground.

"Cheese!" cried Spyro. He flew after the grublin extremely quick and reached the struggling Cheese.

"Help!" cried Cheese.

Spyro flamed the grublin's hand and made it let go of Cheese. Spyro clutched Cheese as the grublin hit the ground hard.

All of New York looked in shock as the grublin suddenly disappeared into oblivion, forming a mist of light around the statue.

Spyro flew back up to Spider-man and set Cheese down, "How can I ever thank you for saving my friend's life?"

"No problem. Just your friendly neighborhood spider. I must go now." said Spider-man as he swung away with his weblines.

"Thanks, Spyro." said Cheese.

"Your welcome." replied Spyro.

Suddenly, a flash of light shot from the sky and landed in front of Spyro. It glowed extremely and a voice was heard, "Spyro..."

"Who are you?" asked Spyro.

"I am Silvermist, the ruler of the universe. The universe is in danger!" exclaimed the voice.

"What danger?" asked Spyro.

"The dark master has opened the door to evil. He sent your world and friends into darkness, scattering your friends around the universe. There are several worlds besides this one. In each world is a Power Gem. Once all of them are collected, you will be able to confront Malefor. You have found the power gem for this world." said Silvermist.

A huge, green gem popped up next to Spyro, "Woah!"

"Once each gem is found, it will be taken to the Gateway of Destiny to be placed on its pedestal. After this, the gateway to the nearest world will open. From here, you can travel to other places. Now go and find those power gems before it is too late." said Silvermist.

The voice and power gem disappeared, and only Cheese and Spyro were left.

"I guess this means goodbye." said Spyro to Cheese.

"Nice knowing you." replied Cheese.

"Maybe someday we'll meet again. But until then, be a good rat." said Spyro.

Cheese rolled his eyes, "Well, see yah!" Cheese ran off.

Spyro gazed towards the remaining white light and walked towards it. He looked back at New York City and all the sites and places he had been to; he would miss this place dearly. Spyro stepped into the light and disappeared.

Oh I am so sorry. I forgot all about that title. I will change it a little bit now. Sorry if I offended you.

Chapter 15

Spyro appeared in a huge white chamber. Several portals were surrounding him and a great, big, silver dragon with golden horns and a chain on a golden necklace wrapped around the dragon's neck in the shape of a sword.

"Hello, Spyro. I have long been expecting you," replied the dragon.

"Silvermist?" asked Spyro in a curious state.

The dragon nodded, "Look around you; what do you see?"

Spyro looked around him. He saw many things: Two open portals, banners with a silver dragon on it, a pedestal with the power gem on it, and one big door.

"You are in the Gateway of Destiny; my home. This huge door here can only open from the power of all the power gems; once it's opened, you will be able to find your friends and the dark one. But for now, you must go to Silver Falls to find the power gem of silver." explained Silvermist.

Spyro gazed at the two portals, "Which one is it?"

The silver one, of course. The green one leads to that city. Now go," ordered Silvermist.

Spyro slowly walked up to the portal and looked back at Silvermist.

Silvermist gave him a nod of approval. He walked off towards a throne.

Spyro stepped into the silver portal and immediatly was swept into a vortex of pure silver. He became dizzy as he spun around in circles. Everything went dark, and Spyro found himself on top of a huge, silver waterfall.

Chapter 16

Spyro gazed down at the beautiful landscape surrounding him. Several nocturnal animals were roaming the night sky.

Owls made their strange 'who' sound and bats screamed in caves. Besides this, everything else was quiet, too quiet.

Spyro hovered down to the bottom of the waterfall and then wondered: How can this place have a power gem, it wasn't even violent?

Suddenly, everything went silent and strange animals began to stare out of the shadows at the strange creature that had landed on their territory.

Spyro gulped and looked around him. Every living thing had disappeared, it was just him. Spyro finally whispered, "Woah! That was weird..."

Immediatly, the nocturnals began to howl and scream as they all flew at Spyro, claws beared.

"Woah!" cried Spyro as he dove right past the animals and made a break towards a cave. But a bear was waiting for him.

The bear roared and clawed Spyro in the face, leaving a bloody cut all over his face. Spyro screamed in pain and ran out of the cave and made through the bushes, only to feel a sharp pain in his leg.

Spyro looked down to his leg, and, to his horror, he found a huge king cobra biting at his leg. He screamed and flamed the cobra.

The cobra hissed and fell over. It tried to bite him again, but Spyro had already fled.

Spyro continued to run through this forest death trap as several creatures chased him. He ran up towards a huge rock and jumped over it, only to land in a huge pool of quicksand. He slowly began to sink, crying for help.

A branch was hanging over the quicksand, just Spyro's luck.

Spyro grabbed onto the branch and tried to pull himself out.

A woodpecker with red eyes popped out of the branch's tree and began to peck at the branch.

To Spyro's horror, the branch broke and sent Spyro tumbling back into the quicksand. There was no way out...

Spyro closed his eyes. He didn't imagine it would end this way...

Several creatures surrounded the quicksand and filled the forest with laughter.

Spyro sighed and slowly let himself sink into the quicksand to his doom...

Chapter 17

Spyro squinted his eyes as he suddenly began to take in the bright light in the room that he was now in. He finally gained view of his surroundings: books, food, and other materials.

Spyro glanced down at where his snake bite was, but found that it had bandages and stitches in it. He felt the scratch on his face was healed. Where was he?

"Wondering where you are?" asked a voice.

Spyro immediatly turned around to see a strange figure hiding in the shadows, "Wh-who are you?"

"My name's Stardust, and you are in my home," replied the figure, "You nearly let those evil creatures destroy you! If I hadn't have been searching for squirrels, then you wouldn't even be alive right now!"

"Thanks. Can you show yourself?" asked Spyro.

Stardust nodded and slowly stepped out of the shadows of the room and into the light.

In front of Spyro stood a blue raven-phoenix like creature with red stripes. The creature had metal armor on his claws and face and had a purple beak with black dots.

"I'm a Phaven, a mix between a raven and a phoenix, as you can tell," said Stardust.

"I can tell. But why aren't you attacking me? All the other animals seemed to be..." asked Spyro.

"Because I was the only creature to escape the mysterious darkness that swept through here yesterday. I am afraid that I am the only good guy here," replied Stardust.

"I think I know what this darkness is. I bet I could save you guys. Have you seen a purple dragon or any green, fuzzy creatures with weapons, what about any orcs?" asked Spyro.

Stardust nodded, "Those creatures came through here and went deep into the bowels of the Castle of Astro. They seemed to be looking for something..."

"Can you take me to this castle?" asked Spyro.

"Of course. Follow me," ordered Stardust. He rolled away a stone leading out side and slowly walked outside. Spyro followed him.

Chapter 18

Stardust raised his beak to the sky as several birds appeared, "We need to get moving, it looks like those birds want to destroy us."

Spyro nodded in reply. He inspected the birds with care and noticed that one of them looked like a dreadwing. He turned back to Stardust and ran after him.

Stardust pulled out a sword and began to slash at bushes ahead of him, "Stay behind me; we don't want any snakes or other critters in front of you."

Spyro recalled the unpleasant cobra bite from the bush and inspected the bushes just in case.

Stardust finally reached a silver waterfall, "The Castle of Astro is right across this valley. Be careful, this is where the most dangerous animals like to hide."

Spyro gulped and walked off after Stardust, "I don't see a castle."

"Astro himself specially made it blend in with the environment so that no tress-passers could find it," replied Stardust, who spread his wings to take off, "Do your wings still work?"

Spyro moved his wings around and nodded.

"Then follow my lead and we'll be there in no time. Just watch out for those grublins and orcs," said Stardust. He took off into the sky, Spyro following close behind.

Stardust looked back to see if Spyro was following, which he was. But Stardust saw something that made him look shocked.

Spyro grinned at Stardust, but soon saw the look on his face. He turned around and saw that his wing had a passanger.

Aboard Spyro's wing was a giant bug, which was ready to bite Spyro at any moment.

Stardust quickly swooped underneath Spyro and knocked the bug clean off. He grinned to Spyro, "Those bugs can really sting."

Spyro sighed and thought of what other dangerous creatures that he would encounter.

Stardust flew down into a dark, green mist and disappeared into it.

Spyro flew after Stardust. He saw ahead of him a huge, mystical castle with strange energy surging through its roof.

"Welcome to Astro Castle," greeted Stardust when he landed at the front gate, "But this place is running with creeps, so we must find a way in without drawing alarm."

Spyro looked around for any secret passages, but he saw none.

Stardust poked a stone and the castle wall tumbled to reveal a secret passage, "Follow me."

Spyro shrugged and followed Stardust into the dark passage ahead of him as he heard screams of laughter from within the castle walls. He looked to Stardust, "Any other secret things I should know about?"

Stardust chuckled, "No, this is it. Just this lousy passageway..."

A roar was heard from down the passage. The roar grew louder as the two explored the deepest parts of the passage.

"Sounds like that purple dragon is here," said Stardust, "But he doesn't scare me."

Spyro replied, "Me neither."

"So why are you in these parts any way?" asked Stardust in wonder.

"My world was destroyed by the purple dragon, so now I've been traveling the universe searching for him. There are other worlds besides this one..." replied Spyro.

"Sounds good to me. I've always wondered if there were other worlds out there, and I want to visit 'em all!" exclaimed Stardust, but not so loud as to alert the enemies.

"I've wanted to, too," said Spyro.

The two continued down the passage and came across a door. The door was silver and red paint painted the door with the word 'Beware!'

"These baddies are right through this door," said Stardust.

Chapter 19

Stardust told Spyro, "On the count of three, we will bust in and stop them from whatever they're doing! One... two... three!"

The two heroes threw the door open and rushed into the chamber. They threw themselves at the enemies.

Malefor jumped out of the way and angrily roared, "Get them!"

The grublins surrounding Malefor drew their weapons and began to slash at Spyro. They laughed and shot an arrow at Stardust.

Stardust held out his wing. The arrow suddenly bounced off of his wing and deflected back at the grublins.

Spyro toasted all of the grublins and gasped when he saw Stardust deflect the arrow.

"What?! No!!!" growled Malefor.

Stardust grinned and grabbed one of the dead grublins' sword. He threw it real fast at Malefor and pinned his wing to the wall.

Now this was Spyro's chance. He rushed up to Malefor and shot a bolt of lightning at him.

Malefor growled and ripped the sword out of his wing. He flew above Spyro just before the lightning reached him and pinned him to the ground.

Spyro cried, "Stardust!"

Stardust rushed at Malefor and shoved him into the wall, freeing Spyro. He clutched another grublin's blade and forced it against Malefor's neck, "Now surrender!"

"Muawahahaha!!! Do you really think you can beat me with a puny sword? I crafted that sword to only kill my enemies! What makes you think you can kill me that easily?!" growled Malefor.

"Kill him, Stardust!" cried Spyro, "Kill him, now!!"

Malefor laughed, "I think there's someone who wants to meet you, bird!" He looked past Stardust, "Come out, Bloodvain!"

"B-Bloodvain?" asked Stardust as he looked back behind him. Too late.

A large figure cloaked in black grabbed Stardust and threw him into a wall.

Spyro cried, "Stardust!" He rushed at this Bloodvain creature and breathed fire at him; however, the fire went straight through him.

"Foolish dragon!" growled Malefor.

Bloodvain wrapped his hand around Stardust and began to strangle him.

Stardust screeched in pain and raised his wings. They caught fire as he used his phoenix abilities to harm Bloodvain.

Bloodvain growled and threw Stardust straight through the glass window in the room, sending glass shards all over the room.

Stardust screeched again as he plummeted to the ground outside.

"Stardust!" cried Spyro.

"It's good now, Bloodvain. You may leave," said Malefor.

Bloodvain opened a portal and disappeared into it.

Malefor laughed, "This castle is Astro's. This is Astro!"

A large beast appeared in the room and roared.

"Astro has been transformed by us! So long, dragon!" growled Malefor as he disappeared as well.

The monster roared ready for battle.

Chapter 20

Astro was a large, behemoth-dragon-monster with one large horn on his nose and a long, spiky tail. He was wearing heavy, black armor and had a purple body with white stripes on it. Astro also had large, torn, purple wings. The monster was about five times as big as Malefor. The dragon-creature was huge and had large, silver claws on each paw and sharp, golden teeth.

Spyro backed away from the dragon and threw the sword he was holding at the monster's eye.

Astro jumped out of the way and charged at Spyro.

Spyro jumped out of the way and breathed fire at him. The fire didn't harm Astro because of the armor he was wearing.

Astro roared and slapped Spyro into the wall. He pinned Spyro to the ground.

Spyro struggled to escape as Astro tried to pierce his skull with his claws. He blasted his foot with earth.

Astro roared and raised his foot in pain.

Spyro shot an earth missile at another one of Astro's paws.

Astro lifted that one up to, and he lost his balance. Astro landed on the ground, dizzy.

Spyro flamed Astro's face. He continued to flame it.

Astro roared again and knocked Spyro away with his horn. He stood up and shot dark fire at Spyro.

Spyro jumped out of the way and fled behind Astro. He flew up to the back of Astro's head and began to attack it.

Astro roared and knocked him away. He rose up into the air and caught the entire room on the fire.

Spyro gasped and ran away as Astro sent a fireball at him. He grabbed the sword of the ground and jumped out of the way as Astro landed on the ground and charged at him.

Spyro jumped onto Astro's back and began to slash at his head.

Astro fell over in pain. He began to shake so hard that the room began to collapse.

Spyro jumped off of Astro's back and flew out through the broken window as the room collapsed on Astro.

The creature roared in pain as turned into a light and disappeared into the clouds.

Spyro flew to the top of the castle and landed.

A large, silver power gem appeared in front of him and a portal opened back to the Gateway of Destiny. All the creatures in the forest became friendly once more as the gem disappeared into the portal. Stardust was missing.

Spyro looked down to see if Stardust was at the bottom of the castle, but he wasn't. He said, "Sorry, Stardust. I hope we meet again." Then Spyro entered the portal.

I liked it, but you rushed it in the end, and it seemed a bit too easy.

Chapter 21

Spyro opened his eyes as the bright light of the Gateway of Destiny formed in front of him. He walked into the room and saw that Silvermist was missing.

"Silvermist?" called Spyro. No response. Where could he be? Maybe the evil had already gotten to him?

Spyro hoped that this wasn't true. He turned around to look for the third portal, but there wasn't one. What was going on?

Spyro had noticed that the room had grown darker and the gateway was beginning to glow a dark purple. Was the darkness within this very room?

Spyro approached the large gateway and looked for a way in. He didn't believe that the only way to open the door was to find all of the power gems. He leaned his head against to door to see if he could hear anything on the other side.

"Looking for something, Spyro?" asked a voice.

Spyro turned around almost instantly and gasped. It was Silvermist, but something looked different about him. He had grown larger and more silver. His golden chain hanging from his neck was shimmering with magic.

"Silvermist! What's happening to this place?" asked Spyro.

Silvermist turned his gaze towards the door. His golden eyes turned back to Spyro as if looking straight through him,"You've seen the gate, have you not?"

"Well, yeah. What's wrong with it? I feel the darkness among us," said Spyro.

"The gate does that when more power gems are brought here. Indeed, darkness can overtake our minds and cause you to see the evil within yourself. You have much evil in you Spyro," said Silvermist.

"What? How can you-"

"You have been corrupted by Malefor himself at the Well of Souls. You now have dark matter within yourself," explained Silvermist.

"Oh. Well where is the next portal then? I don't see it," asked Spyro. He looked around him to see if anything had changed. He gasped. The two past portals had disappeared without a trace.

"It can only be found within your dark mind," replied Silvermist, "You must dream it."

Spyro looked at Silvermist astonished, "How?"

"Close your eyes," ordered Silvermist, "Dream and you will find it."

"But!" said Spyro. Silvermist had disappeared into a strange golden mist. Spyro gasped. He looked around for Silvermist, "Silvermist?"

"Dream it," echoed Silvermist's voice throughout the now dark chamber.

Spyro growled and closed his eyes. He pictured... a dark vortex. Within the vortex, he pictured a icy tundra fool of volcanoes and dark matter. Robotical monsters roamed the world and dark plains of beasts looked through the vortex.

A dark word echoed through his mind: Xeibarcore

Spyro gasped as the land suddenly began to speed towards him. He opened his eyes. He was falling into the dark land.

Chapter 22

Spyro cried as he fluttered his wings and tried to regain his flight. He slowly hovered down to the burnt ground below him. He landed and looked around him.

This world was completely dangerous. This planet must have been formed from pure darkness because there were so many evil creatures and dark places here. Luckily, none of the inhabitants had noticed him falling to the ground.

Spyro looked for the safest place to go to and found it. Icy mountains were ahead; they looked uninhabited. Spyro took flight and flew to the mountains.

Cloud men dangled from the golden clouds tossing spears at him. They shot arrows at him.

Spyro gasped and flew out of the way. He landed on the tip of one of the mountains and walked through them.

Suddenly, ice cubes formed in the snow and icicle beasts formed. They roared and swiped ice axes at him.

Spyro cried and ran. This planet was a death trap! He had to find somewhere to hide. Somewhere...

A large globe appeared ahead. A house was inside. It was snowing in it.

Spyro jumped for it. A door opened from the outside, and he fell into it. The door closed behind him.

Suddenly, several small creatures came out. They were all elves. A normal creature for once!

Spyro said, "Hello. I'm looking for a power gem. Do you know where it is, elves?"

"Oh, yes! It's in the planet's core!" exclaimed one.

"The only way in is through the lava in the volcanoes," said another.

"Thanks. Why are you in this globe?" asked Spyro.

"This is a snow globe, we study the weather and climate of the planet in here," replied an elf.

"Where are these volcanoes?" asked Spyro,

"Why, right next to these mountains! They're very close indeed!" exclaimed one.

"Thanks," said Spyro, "I'll be leaving now."

"See you soon! Beware the dark knights!" cried one of the elves.

Spyro nodded and walked out of the globe. He rushed off into the mountains away from the ice beasts. He flew up and towards the volcanoes ahead.
