The playstation store is going to provide thier users with free games and downloads, one of those being the entire game of spyro the dragon from back in the day. Now doesnt this seem alittle to peachey to you guys? The game that began it all being given out once again in the early stages of 2011, and for free. No money exchanged, but in this, im sure some publicity can be exchanged as well, with possibly more people discovering the series for the first time. Maybe, just maybe....
What do you think about this?

I'm pretty sure that you need PSN+ which costs $50 I think. It won't make a difference to me. I don't own a PS3.

Yeah, i have a regular membership for PSN, but still ya see where im going with this tho? A supposdely titless video game (rather than SK) is rumored/confirmed for 2011. Leaked info is taken down, confirmation deleted, and then they say nothing, and now theres an oppertunity to enlarge the spyro fan base. THink of it this way, you have plus and then you play the game, you love it, and then when something else spyro comes out you remember playing the other game and expect greatness. Its almost like baiting us all...

Yeah I think so. Well, maybe it does make sense since Spyro was originally released in America. I also thought that it was released on PSN quite a while back anyway.

Yeah it was, and yeah i know this is off-topic so im srry, but awhile back someone made a topic about sending emails to activision regarding letting us know about SK. We have over 3000 people on this site, maybe two or three may go unnoticed. But however, would they be such jerks to pass up three thousand emails saying the exact same message?

Yeah, and even if we cant get everyone, send mail letters, fax (if it still exsists lol), and type of comm. we possibly can. IDK like say...three or four messages per person and we have ourselves a decent 8000 letters for our dear friends at activision lol.

Hmm, that's very clever of you to see that. But I don't think it would work out exactly that way, assuming that's what's Sony's planning anyway. I am sure the people in your theory would do some research and want to play the older games first so they wouldn't be lost if they picked up Spyro's Kingdom right away. And even if that iss Sony's plan, I am sure it has nothing to do with Spyro's Kingdom. SK is only going to be released for the Wii and DS, so it's not going to make Sony any profit whatsoever. @CAV Actullay, it doesn't cost a thing to join the PSN. |

^ I know it's free. But if you were paying attention at E3 this year, they mentioned PSN Plus, which allows you to get free content, some free games, and other stuff. That costs $50 a year. Quote: SuperSpyroFan

Attack of the Rhynocs, or Adventure outside of North America. Did Sony ever have the rights to Spyro, though? I don't think so; if my understanding is right, the game publishers are the ones who actually own him and just tell the developers what system to develop the game for. |

I heard from Aura24 that Universal owns Spyro, and still owns Spyro since it was created.

I did some quick research. Universal hasn't owned Spyro since 2004. Then Sierra took control from AHT up until mid production of DotD. And that's where Activision came in. Another way you can tell is because they were the ones to pull the plug on the movie, and only the people whom have the rights to the franchise can do that. Activision owns the Spyro franchise, as well as the Crash franchise. |

I did some more information, and it turns out that Acitivision is owned by Activision....BLIZZARD. Universal still doesn't own a single bit of Spyro... |

I did some research and found that out, done it a couple of years ago, and I told Aura24 that, but she just tells me that it's still under Universal's control, I don't know. This was in a random conversation on a topic a while back, can't remember which topic it was.

It isn't owned by Universal. Spyro ----> Activision ----> Activision Blizzard That's it. Univsersal hasn't had owned any part of Spyro since ETD. |

PSN Plus costs $50, and it comes with bonuses, including free games. Odds are that the person here is talking about Spyro being free if you have PSN Plus, which isn't really free since it costs $50 a year, but in the end it most likely is worth it with all the free kinks and downloads you get.

that somehow they knew about SK and that they are trying to bait us and lure us in for something otherworldly. but of course im making to much of the situation i guess, and simply being somewhat of a spyro conspiracy theorist.
