So... this is a story about Wanderist's cousin, Fireball. If you read the first story (The Legend of Wanderist: The White Legend) you would know that Fireball helped Wanderist run away in the beginning of the story. Well, this story ties into the beginning of the story and you see how Fireball (and Hope) joins up with Wanderist and her friends in the second story. So...enjoy!
Chapter 1: Wanderist's escape; Sally's surprise
Fireball was in his cave with his parents, watching as his parents slept, waiting for midnight. Finally, he decided it was time and snuck out into the freezing blizzard outside. After taking a quick look around, he turned toward a path and started walking, ignoring the cold whether. Eventually, after about five minutes of walking, he saw another cave. His cousin's cave. After a moment, he then saw a white dragon come out. She saw him and walked over. "You sure you want to do this?" Fireball asked her. She nodded. "My destiny is out there somewhere. I'm not going to sit here while my parents try to change me." She said. "Okay. So what do you want me to tell your parents and your sister?" "Tell them whatever. They won't care anyway." Just then, another voice came out of the cave. "What's going on here?" It asked. Fireball and the girl turned to see another female coming out of the cave, this one being black with yellow wings, stomach, and horns. "Good evening, Sally." Fireball said. "Evening? It's midnight, you idiot! And Wanderist, what are you two doing out here?!" Sally almost yelled. "Jeez, sis, calm down! You wouldn't want to wake up mom and dad, now would you?" Wanderist replied softly. Sally didn't respond, just let out a low growl and stepped toward the two dragons. Fireball knew that even after all her sister put her through, Wanderist didn't want to fight Sally, so he would have to fight her instead while she runs off to start her new heroic life. "Wanderist, I'll deal with Sally, you go ahead." Wanderist looked at him like he was crazy, but Fireball didn't give her time to respond. "Go on! I can handle this without lifting a finger. Don't worry." He said. After thinking about it for a moment, she sighed and turned toward the exit, and knowing flying would probably be difficult in this whether, she knew she had to try. "Then I leave the rest to you... Goodbye, Fireball. Thank you." Wanderist said, then after smiling at her cousin one last time, flew off, letting the strong wind blow her away. "Hey! Wait!" Sally yelled, about to go after her before having a fireball hit the snow in front of her. "Don't even try following her!" Fireball yelled.
Sally and Fireball circled each other for several minutes without attacking. Then Fireball spoke. "You know, you're not as different from Wanderist as you think." He said, angering Sally into shooting poison at him, which he dodged. "If you think I'm anything like her-" "All I know is that, even after how you're parents have corrupted you, I don't see anything but good in you, just like in Wanderist." Fireball explained."What are you saying?!" She roared. "I think you already know what I'm saying." He replied, knowing how ticked Sally was now. Suddenly, in a flash, Fireball was tackled and now pinned to the snowy ground. "You're really foolish enough to think that?!" She laughed. "I don't think it..." He said, pushing her off. "I know it." He replied with a smirk. "I don't know why, but you're only trying to avoid getting pushed aside by your parents like Wanderist was. You're only doing what they ask. Don't even try denying that." There was a silence after that. Sally then sighed and turned toward the cave. "Whatever. I'll let her go. She's not worth it anyway." She said, then walked back in. "How'd he know...? Not even I could see that.... So...I'm actually like my sister...?"
TBC....
Not my best, but I was in a bit of a rush.
