prologue

The creatures of the dark moved swiftly with the night shadows. These twisted creatures were rarely seen, but have been knowen as shadow eaters. Not even malefor would dare to intrued on them. They were cast away by the first line of dragons and have been seeking their revnge ever since. They only move at night, but still keep to the shadows to try and keep their hideous fetures hidden. They're the most unmentoined and dangerous beings of the dragons. Claws long, sharp and thick, they can slice solid stone in half in a single swipe. As well as their monsterous size, they're almost impossible to take down. Since the birth of the purple dragon, they haven't been able to break the outter wall at the temple. But now since the disapearance of spyro, the temple is ungaurded, and the new gaurdians still in their training, they aren't strong enough to fight.
now with the temple at its weakest, it was their chance, for revenge.

sorry about my spelling, its been a while since i last wrote, but my spelling will improve in the first chapter, but also i look at it and think, i'll never get it 100%

Now the first chapter:

Chapter one: Invasion

The temple was silent. Velo, the new electricity guardian was doing his nightly rounds around the temple. As he headed out into the garden, he looked up. The sky was dark, this was the first time he'd seen the night sky without stars since he was a hatchling. As he walked round more, he could see fireflies glowing brightly, filling in for the stars. When he began back in, he stopped by the tree in front of the entrance. He stood there and listened. He could hear the trees whisper every time a breeze went through them, he could hear the softest buzzing from the fireflies. In the distance, he could hear a wolf crying out into the darkness. It's cry was all to familiar, it was a mother crying out to her separated pup, only to hear her echo as a response. He walked a bit closer to the tree, he could hear branches and leaves off the trees brake under his powerful feet. He looked back and stared out with tired eyes. Something caught his attention. In the shadows he saw dark figures moving with the shadows. Once they notice he's seen them, the stop and stare at him like breathing statues. they returned Velo's stare every time. Velo doesn't panic and keeps returning the stare back to them. After sometime, they start moving around, but kept their eyes on Velo. Their yellow eyes and red slits made them impossible to miss. Velo steps back to enter the temple and sees them stop again. One of them chants something Velo couldn't understand. Velo doesn't panic until he sees a yellow and red egg sized ball coming straight for him. He rolls out of the way just seconds before it hits the tree. A cloud of dust forms, velo inhales the dust which makes him violently cough.
Once the cloud lifts, Velo is shocked to see the tree he was standing by was gone, not even ash was left behind. Velo starts to panic, he looks back and sees the creatures step out from the shadows, showing their revolting features. Velo now knows that they're enemies. He sees the size of their claws and knows he has to make a fast escape. He slows them down with a flash of lightening and flies over the outer wall and flies frantically into the temple.
When he enters, he sees all of them standing by the statue in the middle of the temple. It was shaking violently and every thing was breaking around them." Velo, whats going on?" Flame asks it in his loudest voice. " I-i-i don't know, there were these creatures, they're attacking the temple!" flame knows this was no joke. " Velo, we have to stop them from going through the outer wall, everyone else, go find Terrador and the others."
Flame and Velo speed through the temple to the outer wall, Flame was the new fire guardian, but knew nothing of this attack.
When they were facing the creatures they had fear that they wouldn't enter the temple ever again. The biggest one was going for his first strike, but stopped halfway, looked up and ran back into the shadows, the others followed seconds after.
The doors to the temple open and Terrador, Cyril and Volteer were standing at the doors.
Once everyone was back inside, Terrador ask what they looked like." I didn't get a good look, but they had uneven eyes, no nose, no ears, their rotting teeth were showing, they were monstrous in size, thick, long sharp claws, feet and hands, they also had huge cuts all over them."
Fear entered Terrador's face. Velo knew something was wrong.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Chapter Two: Creatures of the dark

Velo begins to tremble." TERRADOR! WHAT ARE THEY!" Terrador looks up at the broken glass roof and sighs." The only name they go by is the shadow eaters." Velo neatly folds his wings and lies down." Why are they called that Terrador?" He looks at Velo." I will tell you so you'll understand better." Everyone gathers around, interested in what Terrador was going to tell.

In the beginning, when the first line of dragons came into existence, so did the shadow eaters, although they weren't called that back then. Even with their hideous features, the dragons never noticed, so they taught them dragon magic. The magic they were taught was easy to master and was a good way for self protection.
Once the dragons taught them all the secrets they were willing to give away, their true nature came through.
With the magic they were taught by the dragons, they used it to destroy the dragon's land. In rage and anger, the dragons destroyed the race back to four and sent them off and were told that until the end of their race, they were never welcome with the dragons. They were then called the shadow eaters.
The dragons feared for the safety of the new eggs and called on the elemental dragon to gift one egg with immortal power, thats when the purple dragon came into picture. They were then never able to break through the outer wall at the temple."

"Terrador, why didn't they attack when malefor was cast away?" Velo asks interested." They would have had to fight malefor to defeat us anyway, they didn't want it complicated". Velo begins to tremble more." This was their first attack, and it wont be their last." Gaia, the young earth guardian speaks up."Whats their point?! We can take em!" Gaia and her brother tremor always stick round the temple. Gaia is mischievous and tremor is very timid." Velo is right Gaia, they wont stop until they see us fall." "See who fall?" Ember walks in, confused to what she hears."What happened here anyway?" Everyone looks at Ember, no one knows what to say." Flame will explain that to you, but right now you all need to head into warfang and search for two dragons called 'the finders' bring them back here at sundown, me and the others will try track down their lair and slow them down from there. If we do not return, do not search for us, send 'the finders' out to find Spyro and Cynder, we'll find a way to escape.

Chapter Three: Finding the finders

The city was almost empty. Rubble, ash and broken buildings drown the city from inhabitance. Most moved to the west side of warfang after Malefor's invasion." We all need to split up and search different areas." Everyone agrees and splits up into groups.

Looking round the cities buildings made Cellia tremble. Cellia is the ice guardian and is one of the strongest students that Cyril had taught. Cellia and Ember continue forward and Cellia finds something that disturbs her." Ember, look at this." Ember moves closer and studies the writing in the stone." It's a purple dragon,the first purple dragon!" Cellia was in shock." B-b-but Terrador said that malefor was the very first purple dragon?!"Ember was speechless."This says its the very first one, but the very last." Cellia was interested but knew they weren't there for that reason." Come on Ember, we'll tell Terrador."

The two dragons walk round further, but find nothing but broken buildings. One last standing building gave Cellia new hope." Lucky last!" Cellia looks at Ember sideways.
When they enter the room the smell of freshly picked mint and lemon thyme filled the room. Dragon round the same age of Cellia walks into the room." Hello, are you looking for 'the finders'?" Cellia lighted up." Yes, we are and you are?" "Oh where are my manners? I'm Calangila, they'll be out in a minute." Cellia knows its them, on the walls were scrolls from villages they had helped.
A few minutes past, Cellia hears footsteps down the hall and stops looking at the scrolls. Ember is shocked to see two female dragons standing at the door." Hello, I'm Coal and this is my friend Faie, we're the finders." Cellia herself expected two earth dragons, not a electricity dragoness and a earth dragoness." We need your help..."

After explaining what had happened, the two dragons agreed to help them and flew back to the temple.
Everyone had disappointment on their face." Wow, Coal, look at this place, it could use a fixer upper!" Coal snarls at Faie." You heard what happened here, nows not the time." Terrador walks into the temple with the others." They were untraceable, no matter how hard we tried, there was not a trace." Terrador sees Coal and Faie." You managed to find them Velo?" Velo looks at Cellia." I didn't find them, Cellia and Ember did.

Soon the two dragons find out what their next task is and agree to find Spyro and Cynder. The two dragons alight into the air, and fly into the sunset.

Chapter Two: The first and last purple dragoness

"Goodbye!" The sunset was every color of red. The sun sets behind the Ebony mountain. It was created by Ebony, an earth dragon. She made the mountain to divide the creatures who had turned to darkness and the ones with a pure heart. When it was behind the mountain it made a stencil painted black." Terrador, we saw a stone caved with writing of the first purple dragon, whats that about?" Terrador sighs." I'll tell you."

" When the elemental dragon gave one egg the power of all elements, some of her went with the elements. When she was your age, she would talk to the elemental dragon and summon her for the elders.
When a meteor shower hit the crystal that the spirit was trapped in, it was destroyed. Venterlar, knew she could give the spirit life. She channeled her energy into repairing the shattered crystal, mended it and became herself the new elemental dragon. it was never to be again mentioned unless necessary. No anything else?" Cellia was shocked." No Terrador, thank you for telling me"

Chapter Four: Kalamar Valley 1 (night)

It was dark when Coal and Faie landed. It was silent, day creatures were recoperating their strength, and creatures of the dark followed the command of the dark shadows." Faie, we have to look for a place to sleep, any later and we'll be sleeping in the tree tops!" Faie nods her head, this wasn't the first time they landed in the pit of night, the first this happend, they only found an empty owl nest, it was the only thing they could find. Their sight had addapted to the dark well, every little detail standed out.
Coal couldn't help but wonder what the night was going to bring. They had only been in the Kalamar valley during the day, visiting dazzle, their friend who lived with the Kalamar cheetah tribe and has never left them since she was a hatchling. Dazzle had never told them what happend, but in their next visit, they were going to ask.
Coal searched the ground for trap caves and gaps between the rocks for them to sleep in."COAL! come here, i found something!" Coal starts over and looks where Faie was pointing her wing. In the middle of the lake was a wide tall tree. It was a spirit willow, the tribe wished by the tree to bring them good luck and fourtune.
The tree had a gaping hole in it, perfect for a resting place."Come on Faie, thats the only good spot i can see." Coal and faie step into the water, it was bone chilling cold and made them feel stiff. They continue on, at halfway, it was already neck high. Further in, they were struggling to keep their heads above water."Faie, take a deep breath, we're going under." The water rushed over their heads and froze them stiff."Just keep going, stay relaxed!" Coal contacted Faie through her mind, another thing that dragons can do that astonishes the other creatures."I-i'm tr-trying!" Even though they talk through their minds, they still hear every voice detail.
Coal jumps out of the water and paddles on the surface. Faie rises up seconds after, full of anger." COAL! we could have done this in the first place!" "Faie, sshh.." Faie looks at Coal even more furiously. Faie then sees why they went up to the surface. Some giant creature was heading for them." Faie...FLY!!!" Even though their wing were tired and frozen stiff, they had to, or they could be the dessert of some unknowen creature. They only just get out of the water before the creature snapped his powerful jaws on them. Coal and faie laugh in fright and in sucess. The creature looks at them, growls and swims back down into the merky water, thrashing his tail wildley.
Once the water settles, Coal and Faie land on the small island." I'll rise it out of the water so whatever that was can't have a midnight snack." Faies stomach gurgles." You do that and i'll go catch some fish.
Coal uses her earth element to rise the small island higher, only high enough for flying creatures to land on. Faie sat on the bank and watched for fish swimming by.
When Faie returns, she has two talons full of fish. She elegently lands on her back legs, beating her wings inwards to give a gentle landing. She throws the fish to the side and puts her front feet down on the ground." I could only catch ten small ones, the larger ones were swimming in the deeper water." They were big in size, enough for a small meal. There was no way for them to cook them, so they had to settle with raw fish. Faie looks down at the water from the cliff of the island." I'll put it down tomorrow before we leave Faie."
After a quick meal, Coal opens the hole in the tree a bit more Faie walked round, collecting dead leaves to make a bed. She sets them down and the two dragons lie down and instantley fall to sleep...

Chapter Six: Kalamar Valley 2 (Day)

The morning sun was shining right at Coal. She growled and covered her face with her wing. I didn't help much, she hatched with rips and holes in her wings, all earth dragons are. She silently hissed a curse and walked out of the tree. The sun was harsh to the Kalamar Valley, every bit of it was hit by sun, even the darkest spots were hit by light, it didn't help that it slowly crept through the sky.
Faie walks out, she didn't look bubly like she did always did." You look joyful this morning Faie." Faie snorts out a small puff of electricity and sits down in the shade. Coal looks around, the hills neatly rolled over the land, covering it with lush green grass and forest. The river wound its way between the land, nurturing the creatures that reliy on it. She looks over to the eastern mountains, lightly dusted snow covered the mountain range. making a frozen blanket of snow. Coal joins Faie in the shade." Coal, when will we head off and go see dazzle?" Coal had a long think." After we get something to eat, i'm starving!"
The two dragons hover over the water, waiting for fish to swim by...
In the end the two of them got four fish, each about the size of a new hatchling. After a meal of raw fish, Faie cheered up a little, although raw fish wasn't as nice as partly cooked fish, it stopped their stomachs from complaining. They both were to full to move." Coal, do you think we'll find Spyro and Cynder?" Coal again has a hard think." I-i don't know Faie, we might but we might not, its a hard question to give answer."
They were almost asleep when something russtled the branches above their heads." C-C-Coal, what j-just russtled th- those bra-branches?" Coal chuckled." Relax, it'll only be a bird or owl arranging his feathers." Faie gigles and thinks she should have knowen. Three growls came from the branches." Yeah, but birds or owls don't gr-growl!" They both step away from under the branches. Coal quickly decides that the only way she'll find out is to look.
Coal silently flies up and hovers silently by the branches, to her suprise was three cat-like creatures perched on the branches. They growled when they had enough of been grommed. They were white with amazing black patterns, the eldest of them was black with white markings, she looked like the oldest of the three but each one had two lumps on their back. They purred contently when they started groming again.
The oldest one spots Coal out of the corner of her eye. She arched her back and raised her tail, it was twice the size of her. Then something happend Coal never saw coming. The two lumps spread out and became two magnifecent wings. The spines of the wings were the same colour and had half the pattern so they blended in to make a surprise escape. The thin veined wing webbed part was covered in a thin coat of fur. Coal saw the others soon copy and they had the same features. Coal saw that they hadn't eaten for sometime and began to panic for their health. She dropped down to Faie and told her what it was.
The two dragons dive under and collect six fish, two for each, and rocket out of the water and land on the end of the branch where the three strangers were sitting.
Coal could see they were about to fly away and tries to calm her through sending her comforting pictures through her mind. The creature kept on pushing her away and bent her wings in, ready to fly. Coal quickly sends her a message."I've got food!" She lays her wings down and creeps cautiously over to Coal. Coal drops the food a few meters in front of her, but only threw out one. She sniffs the air, and dives at the fish, in a few seconds it was nothing but bones. Coal drops the next one just in front of her, but she wouldn't come any nearer. The second smallest take the chance and dives at the fish. She purrs after she'd finished and rubbed up against Coal and curled to sleep on Coals back. The smallest one snatched a fish out from under Faie but heads back to Faie once she was full and copies what her older sister had done. Coal turns her head round and looks at the small sleeping creature." Well, i geuss you're coming with us... Teka." Faie looks at her. "i have to call her something, don't i?" Faie nods. "Yeah, i think Teka will fit in well, as well as... Krystal." "What about her?" Coal looks at the oldest one." I'm sure she'll follow, we best call you something... Saphira." Coal watches as she flips in the air, lands and purrs." I guess that was a yes." Both dragons chuckle." Come on, lets go find Dazzle." All of them take flight and soar through the landscape, they knew their adventure was starting to begin....

TheChapter Seven: Kalamar Valley 3 (Day/Dazzle)

They dragons arrive at a cave. It was lined by candles, lighting the way. They walk deeper into the cave and the candles fade into the distance. A figure sits up in the darkness and walks up to them." Coal, Faie, is that you?" The two dragons nod." Well... Its so good to see you again!
Dazzle walks back out with a hovering flat stone, following close by. On the plate was a selection of lightly cooked meat, it made Coal and Faie lick their lips.
After a meal, Coal was ready to ask one of the biggest questions she could ever ask of Dazzle." Dazzle, you have a book, on your life history, may we read it?" Dazzle nods." You may, you have the right to know."
When she returns, a book settles down in front of them and turns to the first page. Dazzle blows the dust off and stands up." It's rather long, so take your time."

Dragon Dazzle

The small group of dragons wandered the Kalamar Valleys caves. Garrow, the earth guardian was the last guardian still alive after their large city was destroied by a volcanic eurruption. Drowend in flowing lava and will be preserved forever. He with ten other dragons and their last hope of survival, their last fourteen eggs.
They traveled deeper into the cave and found a hole where they could stash the eggs. It was big enough to fit two fully growen dragons in, but the hole to enter it was too small. Each egg was layed inside carefully, one egg rolled out of sight, though the others were no longer visible.
Garrow sat at the entrance of the cave, staying awake to look out for danger while the others slept.
Hours past and Garrow suspected no danger and joined the others.
That night, they were ambushed and all the eggs were taken, they were all helpless, they did all they could, and watched the creatures flee into the drakness with the last eggs. With no hpe left, they flew off into the darkness in search of a new home and maybe hope...
Sixteen Years Later....
The young dragon was off to see her adopted family, the local cheetah tribe had found her wandering the cave and taught her how to suvive.
When she arrived, she saw they had been ambushed by some hideous creatures. She knew she was a dragon, but never could master any element. She then unleashed her true element of magic and sent them into a world of darkness.
She was then named Dazzle, because she dazzled everyone....

It was dark when Coal and Faie told Dazzle why they were passing through. And what their journey had been like so far and their encounter with their new friends.
"Goodbye, may our ancestors look after you, and may they look after us all in these times." Coal and Faie nod and fly off with Saphira, Teka and Krystal into the darkness of the night....

Chapter Eight: First Flight

The night sky became clouded over. Not a star was visible. Coal sniffs the air." Theres a storm coming, a big one!" Faie started getting electric charges coming off her." A electric storm!" Coal and Faie knew that they'd never cross the Kalamar river on foot, so they had to fly in through the storm.
The three cre mihas, Dazzle told them what they were called, started panicing and flew all over the place. Coal tries to calm them through sending them calming pictures but they push her away.
They entered the storm, in seconds they were been thrashed and throwen around violently. Teka grabs onto coals tail, hanging on as hard as she could. Krystal grabbed hold of Teka's tail, they have slight fingers, but still had claws.
"COAL!LOOK OVER TO YOUR RIGHT!!!" When Coal looks over she sees a dragoness round their age struggling. Coal and Faie entered a part where rocks and tree branches were flying round. Coal tries her hardest to reach the other dragon." HOLD ON, WE'RE COMING TO HELP!" The dragon looks over at them and a branch hits the back of her neck, she went spiraling down. Coal couldn't just let her plumet to her death, she had to help. Coal nose dived after her." COAL! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Coal looks back up." I CAN'T LET HER FALL TO HER DEATH! FAIE, I NEED YOUR HELP." Faie gathers her strength and nose dives after Coal.
Coal manages to grab the dragon, but struggles to stay in the air." NEED A HAND?" Coal smiles. Faie and Coal find a branch and layed the dragon on it. It was a struggle holding the branch, but they managed together.
They glide down onto the ground, all of them were puffing. Teka and Krystal were frozen, hair standing up. Saphira landed next to them and purred at them to calm them.
"Coal, shes waking up." The dragon opens her eyes her eyes were dark yellow, she was an electricity dragon like Faie.
"Thank you for saving me from the storm, i owe you my life." Coal and Faie look at each other." It's what we do, whats your name?" The dragon sits up." I'm Vexcity, and you are?" Coal and faie don't waste time." I'm Coal and this is my friend, Faie."
Vexcity explains that her home was destroied by some creatures, she was the only survivour. Coal and Faie then explained what they were doing out here." I will help you find Spyro and Cynder, its the least i can do."
Something moved in the dark as they were ready to leave, the sky had cleared up." W-w-what was that?" Vexcity looks at Faie." It's a Candra, there aren't many of them left, they came here where no one lives." A Candra is like a horse, instead of hoofs they have four toes, they have a siver scaled tail, even the slightest touch and you'll see a very deep cut. they have the markings of a zebra and patterns on a horse.
They again take flight and feel the heat of the rising sun behind them....

Chapter Nine: Strongest Soul

The Candra sniffed the dry grass. It was the only grass she'd found for days. She had been eating roots and they had an awful taste. It scratched her throat as it went down.
On through the day she found a tree with leaves still on it. She had to stand on her hind legs to reach them. They were just as dry, and they had a horrible bitter taste. She moves on, when she thought there was no hope left, she heard the sound of a running river. She was overwhelmed with joy and sprinted to the river.

Coal needed a drink. The thirst was starting to get the better of her. Down below she sees a river, she could see everything in it." Faie, i need a drink, there's a river down there." Coal points her wing down at the river." Ok, go down i'll tell the others."
Coal drinks thirstly at the water. When she looks up she sees a Candra on the other side of the river, drinking the water fast and egearly. When the other dragons land with the three Cre mihas Coal whispered to them about the Candra on the other side of the river." This is very far for her to have come Coal." The Candra noticed them and back away, thrashing her tail wildly. Coal tries to talk to her through her mind. Coal reaches her mind and feels sucessful. A sharp pains stabs Coal in her head, it was the Candra, she was protecting herself. The pain travled through her, it got worse and worse the further she tried to get in. Finally the Candra gives up." This time, what?"" You're thin, we can help you, we know where some food is."How do i know you can be trusted?"Coal contacted Teka" We have three Cre mihas traveling with us."You have my trust, i will come." Coal gets pushed out with a sharp stab. When she opens her eyes, her vision was blurred." Coal are you alright?" Coal starts shaking. She was weak from the fight. She gets dizzy and her head starts hurting. She falls to the ground....

Chapter Ten: Iyriana dessert

Coal wakes up to see they were at the edge of the Iyriana dessert. The Candra was eating the grass that Coal told her about." Sorry i pushed you out like that, i had to be sure." Coal stod up, surprised." Thats fine, can you talk?" Coal looked over and saw the Candra drop her head." No, i wish i could though". Coal thought about the possiblities of finding Spyro and Cynder in the dessert." Faie, i'm going to look for them in the dessert, i want you to stay here, in case i don't return." Faie looked at Coal." You're not going in there alone!" Coal didn't want to argue." Faie, come if you wish then." Vexcity walked over between them." Then i'm coming too." Coal and Faie looked at her." You've got your strength back now, you should follow your own path." She closed her eyes and smiled." I will be." Coal and Faie knew if she wanted to, they wouldn't be able to stop her. The Candra walks over." I will come too." Coal and Faie nodded.
" Anyone else?" Teka and Krystal fly over to Coal and Faie and purr, perched on their backs. Everyone looks at Saphira. Coal contacts her." I come where my sisters follow."Coal knew they talked different and tried her best to understand
They all stand st the start of the Iyriana dessert. They all sigh. In Coals heart, she knew they'd find them, but they didn't know where in the dessert or on the other side, but feared they'd never make it back. They all thought and feared the same.
Without knowing what will happen, they all new the only way to find out was to keep going forward.....

Chapter Eleven: Fighting Fatiuge

The Iyriana dessert was hot. Coal had never felt so hot in her life. The three Cre mihas were enjoying the heat. They had lived in cold conditions and were making the most of it. Saphiramost was enjoying it the most, flying slowly, her black fur sucking in the heat like a magnet.
Coal looked back to see the Candra starting to slow and puff." Candra_ we have to try go a bit further." The Candra pulled her head up." My name's Karla, and i'm trying my hardest Coal!" Coal saw everyone slow." Come on, we at least need to keep moving till sundown." Faie puffed and struggled to talk." Co-Coal, why do-n't we rest till sundown and travel at night?" Coal didn't want to." We can't waste time!"

Fatiuge started striking at Coal badly." Maybe we-we should stop for-for a rest..." Coal collaspes and the others soon follow. Chapter Twelve: Familiar faces

Cynder woke up with a fright. She looked around and saw nothing but dessert. The last thing she remembered was been chased into the dessert with Spyro. She sighed and tried to fall back to sleep. She saw a strange black dot heading for them out of the corner of her eye. She could see it get bigger the closer it got. Cynder had never been in the dessert before, not knowing what it was made her curious, but frightened at the same time." Spyro! Wake up! Wake up! Spyro sleepily opened his eyes." Cynder, what do want?" Cynder points her wing in the direction of the black creature. Spyro walked forward to try and get a better look." What is that?" As Spyro said it, he backed away. When it landed, they both moved back. When it was at least two meters away, it flicked its head back at the direction it came from." Spyro, i think She wants us to follow her." Spyro looks at Cynder surprised." Cynder what if its a trap? Like last time." Cynder shakes her head, she was in no mood for a argument." What if there's some one out here, injured and she needs our help, i think we should follow her." Spyro didn't think that some one might be at risk of death and agreed to follow. They knew they'd never keep up on foot, and that they'd have to fly.
Spyro found it hard to fly, he had small rips on the membrane which made his flying a little off balance. Cynder, however, found it easy. Maybe because she'd had bigger rips in her wings when she was under Malefor's control.
The creature dives behind a sand dune and lands softly without a sound. When Spyro and Cynder land, they see something they never excepted. There was three dragoness's a Candra and two of the creature they followed. Spyro and Cynder wasted no time. Spyro used the last of his energy and shot ice shards into the air. Cynder caught the water from the melted ice shards in a bowl shaped bit of wood she found in Helecru. The black creature cupped some of the water in her paws and threw it over the other two. The hissed in fright but enjoyed the coolness of the water. Cynder blew the water over the dragons and the Candra. One by one they woke up.
Coal woke up to see two more dragons standing before her." Coal! its them! We found them.... Well really they found us.

Coal tells them who they were and why they were looking for Spyro. And Coal also told them about their encounter with the three Cre mihas And that Saphira never went near anyone. Coal was stunned when Saphira cuddled up to Cynder." Looks like you have a new friend Cynder!"
They decide they have to get back to the temple as fast as possible, they have to fly as fast as they can, and Karla will have to run as fast as she can. They don't waste time, and go right away...

Chapter Thirteen: Amazing race

The dragons flew low to the ground. Making sure that Karla was keeping up. It took them thirty minutes to escape the Iyriana dessert. They were just entering the Assyrian pass. It was cold, but enjoyable. It was precisely a league long and always had a cold breeze.
They just entered the Kalamar Valley. It was lush green compared to the dessert." Coal, lets go see Dazzle while we're here." Coal looked at everyone and shook her head." We need to get to the temple as fast as possible, Dazzle will understand."
Coal decided that the quickest way was through the Valley of Avalar and bypass Kalmyk which would take them several hours.

They arrive in Warfang three hours later. The city still looked like the golem's attack was just days ago. The city only looked as though it never was active. Quarantined from inhabitance.
They land in a small bit of bush before the outer wall of the temple. Karla was panting violently. Once everyone had caught their breath, they continue through the bush. Coal pushes the small shrub aside and looks back at everyone else." And here is-" Coal was cut off by the expressions on everyones faces, even the Cre mihas had a daunting expression. Coal looks at the outer wall." Oh no...."

Final Chapter: Line Of Wills

The outer wall was no more than rubble. The doors into the temple were no longer there, Coal shook her head as she looked down at the ground." This is all my fault, if i didn't pass out in the dessert-we could have stopped them." Cynder and Spyro walk up to her." Its no your fault Coal, you shouldn't blame yourself." Coal knew Cynder was right. Coal looks up at the sky, she saw something flying for them. It was Cellia." C-C-Coal, y-you found them! Those creatures ha-have the others, i managed to escape, i-i saw you land and, well-" Coal cut her off." Where are they?" Cellia told them that they were been kept in the training room, and that Flame managed to get away with Tremor, Sparx and Ember." Thank you Cellia, now go get far away from here, we'll get them out, and take Teka with you." " And take Saphira too." " And Krystal please." Coal looks at Cynder and Faie." They'll be safer with you."

Once Cellia was no longer in site, the dragons and Karla headed inside the temple.
They crept along the side wall, Coal reached the end and saw three creatures standing dully at the door. Coal crept out into their sight. They didn't take much notice of her to start with and kept staring into space. Coal boulder dashed at them, they realized at the last moment, but by then it was too late. " He, to easy."
They reach the door to the training room and quietly pried it open." COAL!" Gaia jumped to her feet and woke up the others." Amber! Terrador! Cyril! Volteer! They're here!" Gaia jumps into the air, dose a mid-air flip and lands with a thud that made the ground ripple.
A army of beasts break through the wall, everyone glares at Gaia." Oops." Gaia makes a quick escape with Amber. Spyro looks at Terrador and the others." Cynder, they aren't strong enough to fight, we have to get them to leave!" Cynder nods in agreement and the two dragons manage to persuade them to leave.
Faie was using her electric tail strike to knock them back. But they kept going back at Faie. Cynder jumps in front of her and sends them away with siren scream. Karla was using her powerful kick to weaken them, Coal finished them off with a boulder dash. Vexcity used her electric dash to make a fast escape and stun them for a short time." Look, they're retreating!" Everyone shouts in joy. One of them tapped the ground as they exited, sending a small wave through the ground. Cynder went to walk over to Spyro, she couldn't move, her feet were stuck to the ground." Spyro! i can't move! i'm stuck!" Spyro looks at her strangely." Don't worry, i'm coming!" He went to move his front foot forward, he couldn't. Panic filled the room as no one could move. One of the creatures looked back and laughed." Foolish dragons, you may have one this time, but you will suffer the ultimate price." They all started hitting the walls, then retreated into the shadows. The temple walls were weakening, and fast. Spyro tried to stop it with a mending ability he had learned. Both him and Cynder were discovering new abilities that they never knew they had.
Everyone started yelling at each other with made the temple weaken even more. Cynder saw that the louder they got, the quicker the cracks were appearing. They got louder and louder. Cynder needed them to stop. When they kept getting louder, she'd had it." JUST STOP!!!" The room went silent. Everyone in the room collapsed, even Cynder. Each dragon glowed the color of their element...

Cynder opened her eyes. She no longer had the feeling of guilt around her. She found herself soaring in the clouds. She'd never felt so free.....
