In the DS version of this game the 3D model of Cynder is exactly the same colour as DOTD Cynder.

It looks like EL wasn't the only one to make mistakes...even ANB Cynder artwork looked a bit of a purple-ish, black-ish blue:

Cynder was more bluish than purplish. She was never like Spyro, except in DotD :/

She was still bluish in DotD, but in all the images posted and in DotD, she also has a bit of a deep, dark purple.

If tat's true, then the young model of Cynder in ANB must be too(Unlockable by solving every crystal puzzle) because they used the same models in the DS versions of ANB and TEN, but just zoomed in.

I don't think it's true, they look nothing alike.

I am starting to think that because this is a childish franchise (right now) that, to my knowledge, is definitely thinking about kids, that the artists are trying to not make Cynder pitch black like she was when she was corrupt.

Shadow, in the Sonic franchise, isn't a GREAT guy, but he's not a bad guy. He's in the middle and can be quite snotty sometimes, and he's either pitch black or dark gray, but doesn't have any hue of purple or such like Cynder.

I've also noticed in some art of things I follow, characters that are supposed to be black in color sometimes are actually a very very dark color that resembles black, and I've never noticed this in any bad guys to my knowledge.

Heck, when I was spriting, one of my characters who's black colored, he used to be PITCH BLACK. When I re-did his sprites, which was also after a bit of a personality change in him, I noticed he was more of a dark gray.

Just an idea.

In DotD(360 version), she actually has a pink tint around her whole body. Go into any really dark, underground area and you'll see it(The best spot I can think of is to keep walking backwards on that bridge after you spawn in the Ruins of Warfang.

I love this song! Brings back good memories as a kid, I think I was about seven or eight when this came out.

Exactly! I think I actually like his design in DOTD then. I want to jump into the game and just run to him and give him a hug, and this may sound random, I also think Ratchet is cuddly too. smilie

I don't know, she's looks pretty damn blue to me, I never thought she looked very black at all.
