He was supposed to look like a dead dragon (skull) in Los, and dotd made him bright blue (dabadee dabbadaa)

Am I the only one who liked the Chronicler, and Guardians, better in DotD? o.o

Well, he was grayish in TEN, but with the sudden change of art style, EL made him blue.

Come to think of it they changed a lot of the colors.

Hm.... I see what you mean. Indeed, he fit the part better in TEN.

I liked him better white/gray coloured. he did fit the part better that way, IMO.

The Chronicler's redesign is hardly the greatest of their crimes against art. They ruined Spyro, the Guardians, Hunter, Cynder, the moles... By the time we saw the Chronicler, I'd just stopped caring.

^ Yep, agreed too, Chronicler in DotD looks like older brother of Cyril. Not wisdom or memory dragon, but ice dragon :/

if only krome was here to save the day.....

I liked the blue Chronicler design. In fact, I didn't find any colour changes bad, and some were actually better, IMO! Basically.....

Oh yeah!... I never noticed that. But y'know the colour change I hated the most? Why, Cynder, of course! She was a shy, guilty, greyish-black dragon but suddenly, 3 years later, she's a prissy, streetwise purple dragon!! Purple is for Spyro, dudes... Hope all changes with Spyro's Kingdom!

LOL, Cynder was like a dark purple, and Spyro was a mixture between pink and light purple.

Cynder was purple-black in DotD. She looks black in dark areas. In the 360 version, you can actually see a pink sheen on her when your in a slightly lit up dark area. Maybe they made her black, and slapped on a pink tint, making her appear dark purple?

^ I agree. It completely changed how unique he was. The colour change was nice, but they should have made a new dragon instead of changing him.

Yeah, I hardly saw a differene between TEN Chronicler and DotD Chronicler. I liked his DotD design better, tbh. The slight coloir change from grey-blue to blue didn't really bug me.

Same, I didn't really the notice the colour of Cynder until I saw a few people complaining about it, then I could actually see it.

I could always see it, but I preferred it. She kept reminding me of Shadow the Hedgehog when she was black and red, and pretty much any other dark character.

Glad tehy cut it. you wouldn't turn to a Corpse in just 3 Years, otherwise by the time Humans were 3, we'd be wrinkled.

I loved her personality in DotD. She had a great balance between serious and funny, sweet and cheeky.

You mean "sudden" personality. She wasn't like that in TEN, and she was frozen in time, both mind and body.

She did show these elements in TEN, you just have to read in between the lines. Also, she didn't get much screentime in TEN anyway, so we didn't even have the time to see those sides of her. Besides, I like characters with diverse personalities, as opposed to ones with just one trait(Cynder was dangerously close to having fans call her emo in TEN).

Well, it would've made a lot more sense to have her personality from TEN develop slowly into her DotD personality in DotD.

Also, it was never stated that they were frozen in both mind and body anyway.....nor was it stated that fire dragons are immune to fire(just had to say that!).....

This is getting off-topic, but i'll still say: I loved her personality in the TEN short clip!

It was very similar to the way she acted in DotD!

I'm beginning to think you're just defending DotD Cynder because of her body form and unnaturally characteristics she wasn't supposed to have, sonicbrawler...

It showed her more playful, mischevious side in that video. If she had more screen time in TEN, maybe she could have shown more of her DotD personality, but unfortunately they didn't, so it seemed kind of sudden.

Noooo, this goes for the whole "stuck in a crystal" concept, not just Cynder. It was never stated they were frozen in body and mind, therefore, it's not canon.

And what has her body got to do with this?

Also, like me, you are a fan, therefore you can't say "what's supposed to happen"....the developers do.....

If Krome did DotD, Cynder would still look the same as she was in TEN. She would've had new moves, including her dark elemental attacks, and there wouldn't be character plotholes either.

Also, they're the still the same size as they were TEN, evidence that they never really grew up. Just the producer's idea of having Spyro and Cynder teenagers to have free-flight.

But Krome didn't make DotD....so yeah!

Also, their tails and wings are clearly bigger....

It just seemed like they aged because Krome made them look younger, and EL's style gave them a more mature look, so people assumed they aged in the crystal over those three years. If Krome made DotD, i think they would've kept their Original designs and just made the wings a bit larger, if anything.

But they didn't grow bigger. Just because their appearance is different doesn't mean their size changed. It was EL's art style.

I think it's just the different style they used.
Krome made them fatter with shorter legs, and EL made them skinnier with longer legs. But in DotD in comparison to the guardians, they still remained the same exact tiny size. So I think they stayed the same size.

But, it's still possible EL made the Guardians, as well as Spyro and Cynder, larger, but in comparison to eachother they still remained the same size. it would make sense considering that way you could see the detail EL added?
