CHAPTER 1
1st of december
It was a cold day at dawn, the ground was coated in icy snow, and the trees had lost their leaves last season. It was winter, the time was thousands of creatures hibanated until spring came ack around. There was a frozen river running through a feild and a boulder next to the river , and a dragoness sat on top the boulder. The dragon was named shadow, she had bright pink scale with light blue wing flaps, and purple wing suporters. Her horns were bright purple, and her eye pupils were bright blue. She looked up into the sky, and let the snow fall onto her face. There was a twig snap behind her, she turned to see a blue dragon with green horns and 4 white spikes on his tail. His eye pupils were bright green, his wing flaps were bright green, and his wing suporters were bright blue. His name was hellfire, Hellfire and shadow had been mates ever since they met 2 years ago at easter. They lived in the valey of alvar, and slept in a large cave behind a tumbling waterfall high up, But the waterfall was frozen now, so hellfire had to burn their way into the cave. Shadow's 4 elements were poisen, wind, shadow and fear. Alot like cynder's elements because she was related to cynder. Hellfire's 4 elements were fire, ice, earth and electricity, Alot like spyro's elements because he was related to spyro. Hellfire walked over to shadow, and sat next to her.
"Hey shadow." he smiled
"Hi! Hellfire" Shadow laughed
"Im going to catch some fish, wanna come?" asked Hellfire
"Sure" Replied Shadow, The 2 dragons got up and walked futher up the lake. Shadow and hellfire came to a point where the river split into three ways. The whole lake was frozen, though there was smashed hole in the middle of the sperating point.
"Did you make that hole?" asked shadow
"Yes, i melted it with my fire" Hellfire replied, The 2 dragons stepped onto the ice, The ice cracked under there feet
"Is this safe?" shadow asked, very worried
"Yes, it is safe, i coated it with more ice.." Shadow laughed
"But, the ice just cracked" Shadow said, very confused.
"Its newly coated, i can easily blasted it with more ice" Shadow smiled, The dragons walked into the middle of the seperating point, and sat down by the hole, Not knowing that the ice was cracking under them. Shadow and hellfire sat by the hole, focusing on any fish that swam by. The ice suddenly burst under them and the 2 dragons fell into the river, Shadow shriek as she was pulled underwater by the current. Hellfire growled as he was pulled another direction, away from shadow...

CHAPTER 2
The winding river
Shadow pulled herself up to the surface, and screamed for help, expecting hellfire to swoop down and pull her out of the freezing water. She did not know that hellfire had fell in the water aswell, and had gone another direction. She did not see him fall in because she was underwater, She cried out again, hoping someone would hear her but no-one came to her, not even a buck walked to the shore to see what was happening. Shadow could feel her wings, all damp and cold, she could not fly if her wings were wet.

Hellfire spluttered in the water, he had to beat the current somehow and get to shadow before she could be spotted by the prowlus tribe, they were worst enermys, and said to kill them if they were spotted near their tribe. They did not trust dragons, nor any other animal, and were paranoid a lot at times. Hellfire toke a deep breath and dived under the water, the current did not push him then. He swam futher down stream, flapping his wings to make him swim faster. Then, he could see the shape of a dragon ahead... It was shadow! Hellfire smiled, and launched forwards to her, she was drowning, and slowly sinking to the bottom of the lake. Shadow had never been a good swimmer, Hellfire grabbed her and swam to the surface, slowly swimming over to the bay and laying shadow gently on the shore. Hellfire climbed out of the water, and stared into shadow's eyes
"Shadow, wake up...." hellfire said, Shadow's eyes slowly opened and weakily got up
"You saved my life...." she muttered, Then launched forwards and hugged hellfire "I love you hellfire!".......

Hmm, chapter two wasn't what I was expecting.

What do you mean by that?

Sorta thinking they wouldn't see each other for a while, due to the accident thing.

I am changing the title once this story ends. So this is my story page, not just my christmas page. But they do get split up a few chapters later

CHAPTER 3
nasty dreams
Shadow and hellfire were asleep intheir quiet cave, hellfire and shadow ere huddled together in the corner. It was a blizzard outside, so they could not do their daily hunting like they normally do that time of night.
Shadow slowled opened her eyes, and got up, she walked over to the frozen water fall, and lay one paw on it. Hellfire opened his eyes, and slowly got up
"Shadow, what is wrong?" he asked
"Nothing, i just had a bad dream" She replied, hellfire sat next to her
"Tell me...what happened in this dream of yours?" he said, Shadow never normally woke up when she had a bad dream, so this was not nroaml
"Well, there is a snowy feild full of animals, deers grazing, squirls about to go into hibarnation and fish in a flowing river which are sinking to the bottom for warmth." Shadow said
"What happened next?" hellfire asked
"The animals were all happy, when there was an explosion, and some evil laughing, then, a dark figure walked out of the foggy explosion with several little ape figures. And, the dark figure was a huge ape, by the name of gaul. He was speaking to a smaller ape about spyro, then saying how they needed to capture him" Shadow replied, Hellfire gasped
"What next!" he gasped
"The animals fled, the apes began chasing them with nets and capturing them. Then, slightly larger apes take a sword, and killing the animals. Then, thunder flashed and i saw an image of a dark mountain, with a dragon head carved into it, and a convexity beam shooting out the mouth" she replied
"The mountain of malefor!" hellfire roared
"What is the mountain of malefor?" asked shadow
"It is a mountain where gaul and his apes live, waiting for the next eturnal night to begin" Hellfire sighed
"eturnal night?" shadow asked, confused
"It is once every billion years that the 2 celestian moons form an evil eclipse in which gives the chance for evil spirits to walk" hellfire replied
Shadow stared at him, how did he know so much about this mountain and why was he so shocked when i had told him the dream she thought
"Now, lets get some rest, we can talk about the dream in the morning" Hellfire said, shadow nodded and walked to the corner, where she lay down. Hellfire soon joined her, and lay down next to her...
