Hi Dark52. I had an idea about a member of the month competition and I was just wondering whether or not you've seen the topic I started about it?

Erm, I don't think this was suggested yet. But I seen some forums have something in the rules that a newbie must type in order to be a member. For example, at the end of the rules there is something that says "To be an official member, you must PM me saying '[insert a phrase here]'" So I was thinking, why don't we do that?

Sounds strange, but I guess it's pretty good since you'll need to view the rules before you could actually post.

EDIT: How about, when someone joins, they are forced to view a slideshow or something explaining the rules of DarkSpyro and how it works.

Hey dark52, I found a bug, that I don't know if it's been on the other users, it's when we choose the EU Style Links that appear down the darkSpyro banner, it shows the old DotD box, not in DotD section, but in the navbar, but when I turn it NA Style Links it shows the true boxart

Must've been fixed. It didn't do that with me.

Ah ok. I see now. The other day when I was logged in it done that with me but now it's fine, so, um, I guess I'll shut up about it now. ()

Hey dark52, I am right now using Mozila Firefox, and it's a lot different from this "point of view", instead of being better, the site got a lot strange, user posts box got stretched, and signatures are showed together with the message, could ya make it better working on Firefox?

Now I understand what was the mistake, the problem is not with the browser, but the matter is this:

When I marked may "Allow Multiple Logins" something happened that almost every data defined was deleted somehow, and the "View Vertical" turned off, now I tried again and it works.

So there isn't any matter now

So far, the multiple login thing doesn't work for me. I still have to constantly log on when I go to a different computer (and I go to this site with both). I'll have to do some further testing.

how about, when you post a topic the first post would have a "Close" optian next to the "Reply" button.

Now, then my question doesn't pertain to any sort of new forum, which is how I read the topic as being...

Well then without further delay, I have been thinking about the Spyro fandom, and how relatively small it seems to be compared to other fandoms, like say the Resident Evil or Final Fantasy fandom (truth be told, nothing could really surpass the FF fandom, I don't think). Basically this is my proposal:

Either the Administrator, Moderators (or a combination of both), or a group of the site's top posters could take a look at the various fanfictions, particularly the well-written ones that tell a good story, and try to arrange them to form a sort of Dark Spyro canon.

Or

Perhaps this could be the beginnings of a project for the site's best writers, as chosen by the Administrator, Moderators (or a combination of both groups), or even a number of the site's top posters (half of which should be active in the fandom forum. Maybe all should be active members of tha aforementioned forum? I leave this to you, in the event you make it this far and chose to go ahead with the idea.

I would put forth that the Dark Spyro fandom could be one of two kinds: an original canon that pulls inspiration from the entire series of Spyro games, or "behind the scenes" stories that tell of events between the games, perhaps even connecting the newer series with the older one. Were it an original canon, it would begin with Spyro's origins reinvisioned then tell of his life until his passing. Perhaps beyond in the fandom would incorporate relatives and friends and even foes.

Its a daunting prospect to be sure. Its just something I've had buzzing about my head for a while and had to put forth the the head honchos.

Your second Idea about the writing thing may make people jealous. (My opinion.)

Its very possible. Still, do you suppose they could turn a negative (jealousy) into a positive (motivation)?

Of course to remedy the possibility of jealousy, everyone who wanted to submit material could, and the community could vote as to what should be Dark Spyro fannon.

An idea, what if we had a new design for the site? If not, what about a new forum skin?

Other idea, a shoutbox, where we could instantly chat

I Suggest a optional Black design. Why:
1. Black is my favorite collor (OK, it isnt very good reason, BUT: )
2. Black isnt verry bright, so, your eyes can watch black collor much longer. (This is good for dependmentman like me )
