Would be nice to be able to have a list of "ignored" section. Like we can subscribe to some topics, it would be nice to ignore some topics/sections. I don't participate in Roleplay and Fan Fiction, so it tends to be annoying when they all pop up (very active sections).

can we have actual dates on our posts (like october 8, 2011 instead of 08/10/11)? i don't know if its just me, but i find it kind of hard to read.

^That would probably be denied, seeing how where Dark lives (UK, no?), they use the day/month/year format, not the month/day/year format that those in the US do.

What about like... a kudos system?

Like, where you have a buton for giving kudos under the avater of someone? Granted, no taking away kudos, but you can take you own kudos you have given back if you choose, able to rekudos as you see fit.

Almost like a fair way to show a users percived level of respect they have gened from others.

There are no sites I'm aware of that let you take back things like that.

And sounds like a thing that would be abused more than used correctly. Someone could get -20 because they said one tiny suggestion to a user and they got butthurt about it, put them down and got all their friends to gang up on them.

Honestly, I think you can tell how respected a person is from what other people say, how many friends they have, how easily they get along with others and their gem level. I don't see much of a need for something like this on this forum.

This has been suggested on just about every site I've been a part of, even the site I was an admin for.

It's always been denied, because it's far too easy to abuse, and will suffer from extreme bias.

What if it was a system where you could only add? Where you can't have less than zero?

If you beleve the person deserves respect, kudos them. If you lose respect, retract your kudos (provided you gave one). If they gain back respect, rekudos.

No negatives, no unfairness, no bias. The worst you can do is just not give the kudos.

I think there should be a Marketplace for people to buy trade or sell Games or Skylanders. Rules include having a picture of the figures with your username and using Paypal

Flammenwolf's last posts reminded me of the respect-star system on Xbox Live, where you'd start with full stars and the possibility to lose them as a result of misbehaving.

Something like that could work here. The system wouldn't be governed by other users, which eliminates the chances of it being misused.

In practice, everybody could have a "star-counter" visible (optional maybe?) in their guestbooks. Breaking rules would result in the loss of stars.
Stars could also be replaced with something more Spyro-related. Crystals, dragon-coins, something like that.
A way to gain stars back as a result of behaving would be a bit trickier though. Maybe they could slowly replenish over time, maybe not.

It could encourage users to report any rulebreakers they see when they normally wouldn't care enough to take action, as their efforts could finally have visible effects.

Also, it would give them something to talk about. It would be cool to have a thing like that here.

It's an unprocessed idea, but I think it could function.

@dragons go hrr, i see where your coming from but people have different tolerating levels with swearing, sometimes they even get upset with stars, but i don't see a problem with it, for its causing no one any harm as far as im aware of.
