I've been thinking, and I realized, I can't remember a time in this game that Spyro smiled? There might have been once I remember, where he slightly grins, but i don't remember anything more than that. I don't remember him smiling, or joking around for that matter. Maybe I'm missing it, but does anyone know if Spyro smiles the slightest bit in this game? If so, just let me know what scene, and I'll most likely remember then. Maybe there were multiple times.. I don't know. Just let me know if you know of any times Spyro cracked a joke or smiled.

Don't make any potential argument-starting comments, like how "Emo" you think Spyro is, and how much "DotD sucks." I want to avoid any arguments.

I think he grinned at Cynder when she said she was scared, and maybe when he looked at her when they were in the cave where Meadow was. Not to mention when he saw Volteer the other guardians and Sparx again for the first time in 3 years. I still would have likes more jokes personally.

He smiled a couple of times, sometimes due to wonky animation.

I don't mind Spyro being more serious in this game either. It's supposed to be serious, with some comic relief, and Sparx does most of that, and Cynder does some too. It's like the way some Sonic games are.

I think I remember him smiling when he said,"Cynder you're a genius!"

Really? With the way he was designed, it seriously looked like his face was frozen in a grin. It gave me the creeps. D:

Yup, he and Cynder smiled at each other at that time.

He also smiled on the first level when he saw that Sparx is OK.

It WAS the epic conclusion. There are times for jokes, but not everytime is appropriate. Heck, there is a joke about that in DotD!

I thought there was enough jokes in it. If they put in too many, they could start getting corny.

Until the Burned Lands, there was at least one in between each level. There were also some during gameplay. There was only one joke after the Burned Lands.

There were a good few, mostly from Sparx, and some from Cynder.

I didn't think there were any jokes in it really, I didn't find anything funny, just too serious and over the top, in my opinion.

I loved that joke at the dam.

My opinions from those quotes

"Let's blow this dam thing up!" I get the joke but it is so unoriginal, and really it isn't funny.

"Oh keep it up Sparx. I think it's working!" That's just sarcasm, I didn't find that funny, probably because of her annoying voice.

"Don't leave me here alone! What don't you understand?" His voice-over was annoying, and it just repeats over and over and it got on my nerves.

Shadow the Hedgehog has made me find the word "damn" hilarious!

I thought that was a pretty smart comment that Cynder made. I would of said the same thing in that situation.

I LOVE the moles! Birmingham accents FTW!

I didn't hear it.

The artillery mole says it when your escorting him to the catapult, usually when you wander away from him.

I remember one time in Burned Lands when Spyro and Cynder were looking up at the volcano. They were talking about going up there and saving the world and Cynder eventually says, "But only because I want to get off this chain." Spyro then kind of chuckles to himself but not out loud.

Agreed. It looked like his jaw was paralized in that smile.

But after I got used to it, I didn't see him smile. Maybe it's because I wasn't paying attention.

But altogether I don't think anyone but Sparx ever smiled in the game. Smirking doesn't really count.

Cynder did a couple of times(in fact, she grinned once).

i'm suprised no one has seen spyro smiling on the back of the game case.
