Yes, this was just a thought but I told some people about it and Spyroo reckons it's a good idea. I'll probably add some fan dragons of mine in here too. If you want one of your fan dragons in my story, just tell me. I'll be adding some things from some ideas of the new Spyro game too (Spyro's Kingdom is the test title, maybe even real title). I hope you like it...


Chapter 1: "Where are They?"

Spyro was waiting in a park in the Dragon City. The day was perfect. The bees and butterflies were sucking up the nectar from the flowers, birds were singing and there were hardly any clouds in the sky. A lizard scuttled along the ground and crawled up Spyro's tail. He felt it crawl up to his hind leg and he shook it off.
"Where is Cynder?" he asked himself as he looked around. Spyro couldn't see her anywhere. She promised him she would be here by midday and he knew it was midday. Spyro looked around and saw Ember calling out Flame's name.
"Hey, Ember," he yelled over to her.
She looked around and saw Spyro waving and replied, "Oh, hey. Have you seen Flame around?"
"No, why?"
"He said he would meet me here as soon as he could."
"Well, I can't find Cynder either," Spyro replied.
Ember gave an anxious look around, "We should find them."
The two dragons set out looking for their friends. Spyro suggested to look in the trees. Ember flew over to the tallest tree and saw a faint yellow and pink glow coming from the leaves. She opened them up and saw Sparx and his friend Violet. She was a pink dragonfly with rainbow butterfly wings. Sparx flew up and hit Ember on the cheek and she backed off. Ember flew into Flames house but she couldn't find them anywhere. She came out and saw Spyro.
"Not there..." she told him.
"Maybe we should look in Cynder's house?" he replied.

Cynder was just sitting in a dark ally in a quiet Warfang street. There wasn't much around here except a dumpster and a few rats that come and go. She was watching the people walking or flying past the ally entrance. She had mostly seen moles because most of the dragons were fighting the left over dark forces or hunting. Spyro was left out of all that though for some reason. Maybe because he was becoming the leader of the dragons? But for some reason, nobody asked Cynder to help. She was annoyed about it. She had equal powers to Spyro right? Cynder tried to make it not bug her and get on with her life. It had been pretty pointless after Spyro saved the world. Suddenly a red dragon walked into the ally. Cynder looked at him and noticed it was Flame. As Flame saw her Cynder he jerked back in worry. He found Cynder frightening because he got in a fight with her once, and lost.
"Ah, Cynder," he panted in panic. "What a lovely coincidence meeting you here."
Cynder just rolled her eyes, "So, Reddy, wach' ya doin' out in the cold, scary ally?"
"Ah, nothing," Flame replied in a scared voice. He was watching Cynder's moves carefully, in case she was going to make a pounce at him. Flame noticed Cynder's tail slowly moving towards his. He was getting worried but stayed still because she could smash him to the ground if he runs. Her tail got closer and curled around his. Flame started to blush as he had a feeling what she would do next. Cynder leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Flame got drowsy and nervous and said, "Ah sorry, I have to go now."
Cynder looked at him, "Why, Red?"
"Um," Flame paused and thought for a moment. "Maybe we could go to your house?'
Cynder looked at him and nodded.

Spyro and Ember got to the door of Cynder's house. They looked at each other and then back at the door. They slowly opened it to reveal a messy interior. There were dusty paw-prints on the ground of two dragons. Spyro knew it was Cynder's, but he didn't remember going with her. As the floor was messy, he and Ember had to step carefully incase anything shard was on the ground. They looked at the bed and noticed nothing. Something started banging at the door. Spyro and Ember turned around in shock as they heard the loud noise. The door opened and they saw a light blue dragoness standing there. She had a magenta line going from her nose to her forehead covering her nose to her eyes. She had misty blue hair and yellow horns. She also had two curled horns lower on her head. her under belly was pink and so were her wings. The webbings of her wings were yellow, as were the gloves she had on her two front legs.
"Penny?" Ember said as Penny walked into the room.
She nodded and said, "I sense you are looking for Flame and Cynder, correct?" Penny was able to sense things and notice when something was about to pounce on you.
Spyro replied with a nod.
"I know where they are," she told them. "They are under the bed."
Ember looked shocked, and as Penny told them, two shrieks were heard from under the bed. Spyro leaned over and saw Flame and Cynder lying together under the bed. He and Ember had the most shocked and angry face as they saw this surprise. Cynder quickly grabbed Flame and used her Shadow to take him and herself underground and away to safety.
"Oh, my, god!" Ember yelled.
Penny looked at the two shocked faces of the dragons. "Should I have told them?" she asked herself.

Chapter 2: It's No More

Spyro was so angry that he couldn't breath for a moment. Ember was the same except her face was red and smoke was dispersing from her nose. Ember rushed out the door to look for Cynder and Flame.
"Wait up!" Spyro yelled as he chased after her.
Penny got up in the air and flew after them. "I know where they are heading," she told the two dragons. "They are going to the Ancient Forest near the outskirts of Warfang."
Spyro and Ember nodded as the three dragon sped at full speed towards the great forest.
As they reached the gates of Warfang, they heard Cynder and Flame pop out of the ground with a screech. Spyro flew over first, then Ember but Penny stayed behind the gates just incase they tried to escape again. Spyro saw Flame and Cynder sitting under a tree. Ember rushed towards them and smashed Flames to the ground. Cynder noticed this and grabbed Flame. Just at that moment Spyro tried to grab Cynder but she went underground with shadow. Penny had noticed this and used her water element to liquify herself and travel underground to get Cynder. The water made Cynder rise to the surface and Penny turned back into her solid form and drained Cynder's energy so she couldn't escape with her shadow. Spyro jumped on Cynder's back and pinned her down.
"Leave me alone!" Cynder screamed. "You bore me!"
"You should've told me!" Spyro replied with the angriest yell.
Ember yelled at Flame as well. But Flame hadn't run out of energy so he let out a blast of fire on Ember's face. Ember backed off, shaking her face to get rid of the flames. Cynder had seen what Flame had done so she got up and tail-waked Spyro on the back. He screamed and smashed Cynder in the chest with his claws. Cynder returned the attack with a blow to the head with her wings. Then she signaled to Flame and the both took off flying into the forest.
Spyro and Ember were about to go after them but Penny said, "No, don't go. Just leave them be. Don't worry about them."
Ember and Flame looked at each other.
"Okay, we should just get on and ignore them I guess," Ember said as she walked away.

Cynder looked at Flame as they sat under a huge tree. She was tired and exhausted from the fight and she had lost her energy. She couldn't help but lay-down on Flame's lap and sleep. Flame was also tired so he slowly fell asleep too.

Penny was walking past Ember and she looked upset. Penny couldn't help but to try and get Ember to cheer up.
"Hey Ember," Penny said as she came over to her. "What's wrong?"
Ember just looked at Penny and then looked away.
"Don't worry about Flame, just look at Spyro," Penny said as she pointed to Spyro sobbing.
Ember looked over to Spyro and then back to Penny, "I'm goin' over to see him."
Penny looked at her and nodded and then went away.

Thanks, but Cynder and Flame only did that to get away.
This story is doing way better than my other stories, Dragon Eye and Spyro Legacy. Hardly anyone reads them these days.

Chapter 3: Night Falls

Cynder woke up on Flame's lap and she noticed it was night. Flame was still asleep so Cynder got up and looked around. The forest was so different when it was night. The trees' leaves were blue instead of green and the trunks were green instead of brown. The grass didn't change besides it going a darker colour, but the water turned silver instead of blue. And at this hour, the spiders were out and Cynder thought it looked nice. A flash of yellow light came from a tree and Cynder could see it was an animal's eyes.
"Flame, get up," Cynder loudly whispered as she shook Flame back and fourth.
Flame's eyes were opening and shutting and he mumbled stupid things like I'm too tired to go to war or Go away Malefor and kiss Ember.
When he noticed that it was Cynder he said, "What Cynder?"
"Come on, we have to go back to Warfang," she replied.
"Why, Ember's there," Flame mumbled tiredly.
Cynder looked at him, "We can live in an ally or something."
Flame nodded and clumsily got up.
The two started walking towards the Dragon City, but the had gone pretty far in the forest so it took a while. Flame now noticed how different it was at night in the Ancient Forest, with all the different colours.
They had gotten to a lake with a small waterfall and sat down for a rest. Flame was drinking from a little puddle next to the lake and Cynder was resting on a large rock over looking the waterfall. The crickets made their little chirping sound and the guppies in the water were making faint splashing noises.
Flame heard a rustle in the grass so, instinctively, he looked up to see what it was. Cynder heard it too the second time so she also looked. Then a blue dragoness that looked almost identical to Penny ran past. But she had a cuter, younger looking head with a thicker magenta like on her face. Her horns also had second smaller horns in front. Then after that a male dragon ran after the Penny looking dragon. He was black with four darker horns. They were connected by a dark blue web. He also had crests that were connected with dark blue webbings too. His underbelly was blue and so was his tail spikes. Unlike other dragons, his wings were like dragonfly wings, but he only had two.
"Who were they?" Flame asked as he turned to Cynder.
"No idea," she replied in a quiet voice. "But that first one looked heaps like Penny."
They got back to resting but then they went on their way towards Warfang.

Spyro and Ember were still talking in the park when everyone had left to sleep. It was about ten thirty at night. They were just talking about what happened and what would happen later on.
"You're a good friend, Spyro," Ember said quietly.
Spyro started to blush, "So are you, we should be getting home now."
"Wait, I lived with Flame so I don't really have a home now..." Ember said, starting to cry.
"Don't worry, you can bunk with me if you want," Spyro said with a grin.
"Really? Thank you so much," Ember said as she ran up and gave Spyro a hug.
They raced each other to Spyro's house and Ember beat Spyro. They walked inside and Ember grabbed a blanket and made a little nest on the floor to sleep in. Spyro got in his bed and fell asleep. Ember soon followed.

The two mysterious dragons had gotten to the gates of Warfang. The Penny looking dragon liquified herself and went under the gates while the male dragon went under the ground with shadow. When they go inside the city the dragoness pulled out a robot bug from a pink bag on her back.
"Find Penny 9," she whispered to it and it flew off.
The two dragons looked at each other and then ran towards a big tree. They flew in it and waited.
The bug was flying towards a house near Cynder's. Penny owned the house that the bug flew into. It flew over to Penny's face and tapped. Penny awoke and saw the bug on her head.
"What are you?" she asked, not even sure if it could talk.
Penny 10 is looking for you, it said to her in her mind.
"Okay, I'll be there soon," Penny said as she got up and started to fly. She flew out a window and over to Spyro's house.
"Spyro, Ember," said said, waking them up. "You need to come with me."
They all flew to the bug waiting outside. The bug showed the three dragons the way to The tree Penny 10 and her friend were waiting in.
"Wait here," Penny told her friends as she flew into the tree. There sitting on a branch was her sister, Penny 10. "What? You're alive?"
"Yeah, I am," Penny 10 told her big sister.
Penny 9 was astounded and told her and her friend to introduce themselves to Spyro and Ember.
Spyro and Ember were shocked to see two dragons. Ember looked at both and said, "Are you twins?"
"Sort of, it's a long story, trust me," Penny 10 said. "By the way, I'm Penny 10, Penny 9's younger sister."
"Yeah, and I'm Snap," said the black dragon.
"Nice to meet you," Spyro said.
Ember looked at them, "Yeah, a pleasure. I still don't get it."
"You will, later on," Penny 9 told her. Just at that moment her head turned to the gates. Everyone saw her movement so they all looked towards them. Cynder and Flame were flying over the Warfang gates. When they saw the gathering and Spyro and Ember, they both rushed away.
"I remember them," Snap said as he watched Cynder and Flame fly away.
"So do I," Penny 10 said, "They were in the Ancient Forest."
Ember and Spyro told Penny 10 and Snap the story about what happened between them and Flame and Cynder.
"Yeah, I agree," Snap said. "They should have told you first that they weren't interested in you."
"I agree with you 100% Snap," Penny 10 replied.
The five dragons were getting very tired so Spyro said, "We should get going to bed."
The other four all replied with a yeah.
"But me and Snap haven't go anywhere to sleep," Penny 10 said.
"That's fine," Penny 9 replied. "You can sleep at my house."
The five dragons all got to their houses, or friends house, to sleep.

Chapter 4: Warnings

The next morning, Penny 10 woke up and she remembered the reason why she and Snap came here. She got up from the floor and quickly woke Snap up, hoping she wasn't too late.
"Snap, we have to tell them!" she hissed.
"Yes," Snap worried.
The two woke up Penny 9 and rushed out to tell Spyro and Ember. They flew as quick as they could to Spyro's place. Snap woke up Spyro while Penny 10 woke up Ember.
"Okay, you three need to know something that happened over in the Twilight Forest, our home," Penny 10 said.
"Well, there were these weird black things. They were made of shadow I think," Snap continued.
"Yeah, they destroyed most of our houses and killed some of the habitants. They looked like black wyverns, with extra spikes on their backs," Penny 10 told them.
The three other dragons looked surprised and scared. But Spyro seemed the least scared because he'd dealt with things like this before, right?
"And what's worse, they're heading towards Warfang from the North West North," Snap warned. "We came from the South West because they chased us South wards, well they could be coming from there too."
"So they're pretty much surrounding us?" Ember replied.
Penny 10 and Snap nodded their heads.
"Shouldn't we tell The Guardians?" Spyro asked.
"I would," Penny 9 replied as she took off. "Lets go!"

Dragsooth, the new Fire Guardian, was waiting in the still floating Dragon Temple. The Swamp was also floating too, with Sparx's parents. Volteer had gotten smashed from the building that fell on him while the Golem attacked so he has been resting for a while. Terrador had seen the five dragons flying towards the Temple for around three minutes now, but they have reached the point of thirty seconds so he told Dragsooth.
Dragsooth went over to the balcony to welcome the dragons.
"Be welcome, friends," Dragsooth humbly told them. "What brings you to the Dragon Temple.
"These shadow creatures are planning an attack on Warfang!" Snap hesitated.
"Yes, they're coming from the North West North and possibly the South West," Penny 10 added.
Dragsooth looked over to Terrador, "We knew this day would come..."
"What?" Ember asked.
"She has returned," Terrador bowed.
"Who?" Spyro asked.
"The first Purple Dragon, not Malefor. Her name is Cycloniss. She was the one who killed Dyseption, the one brave enough to take on her. Cycloniss has found the way to return from the dead," Dragsooth replied.
"How?" Penny 9 asked.
"Why you dragon are the most curious bunch I have seen. The way to rise from the dead is to have taken the life of a live, well creature. See, living things go to the Underworld once they have died. Sometimes the living get sucked down so that, younglings, his how to rise from the dead," Cyril boasted, thinking he knows all.
"We have to stop them!" Spyro said.
"We need to get an army to defend the borders," Dragsooth said. "After this, Spyro, you must find a way to destroy the creatures."
"We'll be on it!" Spyro said as he and his friends took off.
"Lets hope," Dragsooth said quietly. "This will work."


torok, I didn't steal your dragon's name. I saw it in the upgrade elements thing in ANB and it said something like Dragsooth's Fire of the Scorched Lands.

I'm done for the day, probably. I might feel like it later but don't keep your hopes up.

Chapter 5: Encounter Part 1

Spyro was the first to land on the Warfang walls, but soon all the others joined him. They looked over to see if the twisted shadows had entered the horizon. Nothing could be seen, and it meant nothing. There was no movement whatsoever. The trees stood perfectly still, not a rustle in the leaves. No animals stuttered through the grass, not even a bug flew through the air. Was there something that they knew that the dragons didn't?
"Wait!" Penny 9 suddenly blurted out. "I can feel something!"
The others quickly turned their heads towards her. They had a confused and scared face at the same time.
"What is it?" Her younger sister quietly said, almost a whisper.
Penny 8 was concentrating hardly on the quiet whispers of sound, this was how she sensed things. Listening to the sound of future and past. She suddenly found it, "They are here!"
The five dragons got ready for battle as they saw the shadow creatures fly over the trees towards the Dragon City. They took to the skies but an army of Warfangian Dragons started pushing them out of the way. Ember fell to the ground while Snap managed to stay in the air, Penny 10 bumped Penny 8 and they both fell onto Spyro. He got up and saw Snap starting to follow the army of dragons.
"Wait!" Penny 10 yelled as she pointed to the Shadow Wyverns. They seemed to be consuming even the strongest of dragons.
"Whoa, we can't touch them?!" Snap said, with anger flicking through his voice.
"We need to find another way of destroying them," Ember said as she got up from the ground. "But I have no idea how to."
Suddenly Flame flew from behind the wall and sped towards the Shadow Wyverns.
"STOP FLAME!!!!!" Spyro yelled but it was too late. Flame had blown fire at wyvern and shadow seeped through the flames and rushed down his throat. He started coughing out shadow puffs and then his eyes turned white. Shadow crawled up through Flame's mouth nose and ears and covered up his body. The shadow consumed his body and his goal was one thing, destroy the good ones.

Sorry if the chapter was short, I was short on time, lol.

Chapter 5.5: Encounter Part 2

Flame blinked twice before he started looking around. When he looked at the other dragons flying in front of him they were glowing red. Flame couldn't help himself, he advanced towards the dragons. He aimed for Penny 9 and she started flying away. Flame shot fire balls- no they weren't fire balls, they were shadow balls- at Penny but luckily she dodged the first few. A shadow blast was shooting right at her head, and she didn't notice it.
Suddenly Terrador flew straight in front of the shadow ball and it hit him on the right leg. The shadow started creeping up his leg and onto his chest, then spreading all over his body. Terrador's eyes started glowing white and he puffed out shadow.
Dragsooth and Cyril flew down to join the fight. Dragsooth reached his paw out to an upcoming Shadow Wyvern.
"Wait," Ember yelled out in alarm. "Don't touch it! They consume you!"
Snap looked over to Ember then back at Dragsooth, "Yeah, look at Terrador and that young Fire Dragon. What's his name?"
Dragsooth and Cyril looked at their Guardian companion and Flame. Then they noticed a wyvern coming for them.
"Take cover!" Dragsooth yelled in alarm as he fled towards the inside of Warfang.

Volteer was waiting for news as he laid down in the Dragon Temple. He watched Dragsooth, Cyril, Spyro, Ember, Penny 9, Penny 10 and Snap each fly in, but where was Terrador?
"Hey, hey, hey!" Volteer blurted out. "Where is the warrior, the battler, the mighty Terrador?"
Snap looked sadly over the dragons beside him. Penny 10 was looking at her feet while her older sister held her in her wing. Spyro mumbled, "The shadow got him. We couldn't help it..."
"What?!?!" Volteer cried. "What will we do now? We can't go down with out an exhilarating fight!" He continued in a fast manor.
"Well," Cyril boasted. "Look who's talking, the Guardian in resting ,eh?"
"I agree!" Snap said as he set his gaze to Volteer.
All the others agreed as well.
"This means war!" Spyro yelled with his paw in the air.

Yes, this was just the other half of the part one, because I had such little time yesterday.

Chapter 6: Battlefield

Spyro flew down, followed by his two friends. Penny 10 and Snap were rushing around the Shadow Wyverns to get a sneak attack. Spyro stopped when he got to the Warfang walls and the girls braked behind him, not expecting him to stop.
"Where did they go?" he asked Penny 9, knowing she had the ability to sense things.
"I don't know," she replied. "I can't pick them up... at all."
Penny 10 and Snap had noticed that the wyverns had gone too. They saw the other three and Snap called out, "Did you see them go?!"
"No!" Ember shouted back at him. "We don't even know where they are!" She added on.
Penny 9 was scanning the area for any signs of the shadow creatures. She though maybe they left somehow, but they couldn't just disappear, right? Then she saw it. There was a little drain opening in the middle of the field. They must have gone through there to get a surprise attack on the Warfangians.
"Follow me!" She yelled out loud enough for the other two could hear. "I know where they went!" I think, she though but never said it aloud.
The other dragons looked at each other and quickly shot after her. Penny 9 quickly opened the hatch and flew down. Everyone landed safely, except Snap who landed with a quiet thud on his chin.
"Oww," he said rubbing his chin. "Soooo, where do we go?"
"This way," Penny 9 said as she pointed to a long passage way. I hope...

Spyro had rushed on ahead, because he had the feeling to lead. But Ember was just wandering off, talking to Snap every so often. While the two sisters just walked together and talking about some girly things. Then they came to it, there was a stream of shadow going out a small crack in the tunnel.
"I bet they are going out into Warfang!" Penny 10 said angrily.
"Yeah, we have to stop them," Ember said as she flew towards the crack.
"You can't fit through there, Ember," Spyro said.
Ember blasted out lava onto the crack and the rock and dirt melted. She had that 'I told you so' face on and flew out. The others carefully flew through the hole and saw the shadow forming into thousands of Shadow Wyverns. They heard the Warfang citizens crying out in horror as they saw shadow coming for them. The strong ones ran towards the shadow but they only got consumed by their dark tendrils.
Cynder flew out from behind a dumpster and recognized Flame in the crowd of Shadow Wyverns.
"Flame?" she asked as she flew up to Flame. He didn't seem to show any emotion.
"Flame, hello!" Cynder was getting kinda mad now. She hated being ignored.
Flame just looked at her and tried to touch her with his shadowed paw. Cynder dodged it and looked at him with an angry face. Flame kept attempting to hit Cynder but she said something like, "Not until you answer me!" and kept dodging. Flame tripped Cynder over with his tail and the shadow crept up Cynder's legs and soon enough consumed her as well.
A ball of shadow flew at Ember's head but she dodged it. Spyro was standing behind her and didn't know.
"NO!!!" Ember yelled as she tried to save him. But she was too late. The shadow ball hit the back of Spyro's head and he turned into a shadow. Ember was lying on the ground and dodged Spyro stamping feet.
Cyril flew down from the sky, followed by Dragsooth and Volteer. Ember only took a quick glance at them after she shot lava but got hit in the head by Spyro's wing. But strangely, the shadow melted but got sucked into Ember's noise as she breathed. It soon consumed her too, but unlike the other dragons and shadow creatures, her shadow was in liquid form. When she walked, the shadow made a puddle and evaporated. Some of the shadow reached other dragons, but made them normal shadow creatures.
"We are losing!" Penny 10 yelled to her two remaining friends.
She quickly dodged a blow from a wyvern.
Snap turned into shadow and hit a Shadow Wyvern in the head with a shadow claw. Then he got out of shadow and his eyes turned white.
Penny 9 and 10 looked at him, they were now the only two left. Snap blinked and his white eyes went away, he turned into his normal self. The Pennys looked amazed but he told them, "I'm a pure shadow dragon, I can absorb their shadow."
Cyril shot an icy blast at Cynder and Flame. But unlike most of the other elements, the ice wasn't affected by the shadow. It froze Cynder and Flame. The shadow broke off them and evaporated.
"What?" Flame said and flew away.
Cynder followed him and left the battlefield.
"Nice job Cyril, now freeze Spyro and Ember!" Penny 9 yelled.
"I shall try my best," he replied, but got hit in the head by Dragsooth. Dragsooth and Volteer had turned into shadow and now Cyril has.

Chapter 7: Escape to the Unknown

"We have to get out of here!" Penny 10 yelled above the yells of peril and sadness made by the Warfang citizens. "If we stay any longer, we will end up like Spyro, Ember and the Guardians!"
"Penny's right, um, I mean Penny 10!" Snap agreed, also speaking loudly. "Penny 9 should lead seeing as she is the oldest."
Penny 9 nodded as she dodged a blow from an upcoming Shadow Wyvern. "I'll try to steer clear of these shadow creatures."
She searched around the place, looking for a possible exit. Penny 9 noticed a place where the shadow clouds weren't near so she lead the group towards it. As they past through it, their eyes hurt from the sudden burst of light. Snap made a grunt of pain as he passed, seeing as he was a Shadow Dragon.
"W-w-where do we g-go?" Snap grunted, rubbing his eyes.
"I don't know," Penny 9 answered, also adjusting to the sudden light. "But it has to be somewhere away from here."
"Yeah, but what about Flame and Cynder? Let alone Spyro and Ember!" Penny 10 blurted out. "Those two are stuck as evil mindless creatures. And what's worse, someone worse than Malefor is controlling them!"
"No need to get carried away, sis," Penny 9 told her. "Look at the bright side, at least we are here."
"Right now the bright side seems like a fairly light side..." Penny 10 mumbled.
"What's that?" Her sister replied. "There has to be a way to save Spyro and Ember. No, get the whole of the Shadow away!"
"Sure..." Penny 10 said under her breath and continued to fly onwards. "What do you think about this, Snap?" She said loud enough for him to hear.
"Well, I don't see anything that could help us save the Warfangians," Snap said and continued flying onwards.
How can we save them, they are pretty much doomed for all we know. Maybe the shadow eats away at them. He thought to himself, thinking it was a stupid though.
Penny 9 studied his face, looking closely at the details. "You look troubled. Don't worry, we can get them back."
"What?!" Snap snapped in surprise. "How'd you know?"
"She can read minds and that stuff..." Penny 10 mumbled, still in her grumpy mood. How come no one believes her. They can't seriously beat the shadow, right?
No one replied and they kept on flying towards the ever growing horizon.

The trio had been flying for around two hours now, taking a quick break every time someone got tired. They flew onward until they couldn't see the Shadow Clouds in the sky. The landscape was pretty bare, only a few trees and giant rocks turned up on their flight. They stored some landmarks in their memory to find their way back to the Dragon City.
Soon, they came to a place where the clouds were not seen. This was good, no shadow could get them here, yet.
"Are we safe here?" Penny 10 asked, not knowing who would reply.
"I think so..." Snap answered.
But Penny 9 had a more accurate answer, "We should be for now, though I have a bad felling that they will spread over the world. I think they dominated Warfang first because that's where the Saviors of Celestia live. Then I'm guessing they will take over the world and spread from one creature from another like the flu or a plague."
Penny 10 and Snap's faces turned grim and a scared feeling washed over them. The though of everyone being a Shadow Creature scared even the eldest, Penny 9. She continued, "We are going to have to find another city far away from here where we can warn them. Maybe they are in contact with other cities so they can warn them. We have to get everyone to know so they can get ready, maybe they can go in the Catacombs of their cities or underground tunnels. They may not find anyone down there.
"But for now, we have to move," she said grimly and flexed to fly off.
The other two flexed their wings and took off, flowing their leader, Penny 9.


I've only done Penny 10 and Snap so far, here they are...

Thanks, but I don't have time to write the next chapter this morning. I'll probably have it up by this afternoon.

EDIT: Sorry, I haven't been in the writing mood to write this lately. I'm going more into owls and I'm going to write a story about them. Hopefully that will put me in a more of a writing mood for this story.

Chapter 8: Story From Them All

Flame and Cynder were hiding together in a small hole. They saw the darkness in the air and their dragon allies getting turned into those shadow creatures. They even recognized the Guardians fighting the other, non shadowed dragons. The felt a pulse of panic and fear rushing at their heart.
"What will we do, Red?" Cynder asked Flame, hoping for a good answer real quick.
"I don't know, Cynder," he panicked. "Maybe we should try and escape into the wilderness?"
Cynder hesitated for a moment and nodded her head. They flexed their wings and took off out in the dangerous battle-field. They hastily dodged the incoming blows of of the Shadow Wyverns and other creatures.
One almost hit Flame with a fire ball. Cynder dodged a tail swipe from Cyril and a different, unknown creature.
They flew out the light portal in the dark clouds that Penny 9 and the group had flown through. The light hurt their eyes as they flew out because they were exposed to the darkness for so long.
As they flew, they talked about being shadowed to each other.
"It was a strange feeling," Flame said. "Like we were imprisoned inside something."
"I know," Cynder spoke now. "But when something happened, we just came back to here and were were attacking someone. Someone on our side."
"Yeah, it was a strange feeling I must say," Flame said and then they fell silent and flew on.

Spyro was stiff in a purple crystal. Where am I, what is happening? he asked himself and found out he could only think. He could breath or blink but didn't seem to have to because he was still surviving without it. He could move his gaze though, and saw Ember just above him. She was looking at him too, but they couldn't communicate with each other.
Spyro really wanted to ask her what had happened and where they were and suddenly Ember's voice echoed in his head.
I think those Shadow Wyverns got us, she replied in echoes.
Spyro was bewildered, how could Ember hear his thoughts and he saw the same look in her eyes too.
Do you have any idea where we are? She asked Spyro with her mind.
Sadly I don't, I wanted to ask you the same thing, he kinda laughed in his head at that.
The two stopped talking and tried to look around. Everything was shaded in purple from the crystal-like prison. Spyro then caught sight of Dragsooth stuck frozen near him and Ember.
Dragsooth! Spyro silently yelled out.
The elder's eyes sought out Spyro and just stayed there on him. Young dragon... he said in dismay.
Spyro! You have come to us. This is most exciting, exhilarating, enchanting, blrrg, though most sad, Spyro noticed this was Volteer who was talking.
Volteer? Spyro asked in disbelief. Are the others here too?
Oh yes, yes, yes, Volteer blubbered. Cyril is over there, see? Terrador is near him too.
What is this place? Spyro asked.
We believe this is one of Cyclonis's Crystal Prisons, Terrador's rocky voice told him.
We are sure of it, Dragsooth said. I'm sure I saw her just outside.
And, this was Cyril now. Seeing as you two just awoke, we must tell you something. Cynder and Flame were in here before, but just seemed to shatter and then vanish. You can still see their hole they left. Cyril pointed to the way with his eyes.
Spyro and Ember saw the shapes of Cynder and Flame in the crystal. How strange, how could they just vanish from thin air? Maybe they escaped the shadow.
Spyro and Ember looked at each other in amazement and fear. How could they get out and escape the shadow like Flame and Cynder?

As they got up, they saw the sun rise in the east. Morning. They had been sleeping all night and looked around for a city in view. There was one in the north. It looked big enough to warn the other cities. Maybe they already heard the Warfang distress calls and warned the others. Still, they had to go just in case.
Penny 9 took off, followed by her companions Snap and Penny 10. They were on their mission to warn the dragons, and other creatures for that matter, about the shadow attacks. But what if they already got turned into shadow creatures? It was a terrible thought, but they advanced towards there.
They had reached the city quite quickly and they looked down over the walls. There were no dragons in the streets or anywhere!
"Do you think they were shadowed?" Penny 10 asked.
"I'm not sure," Snap replied. "Maybe your sis knows," he pointed out.
Penny 9 summoned up the sound of the past to try and find out what was going on. "I know what happened!"
She explained how the Shadows flew over the city and the dragons knew what they were from another city who where attacked. A Shadow Wyvern came down to investigate and saw no one because all the dragons fled into the city Catacombs and underground tunnels. They knew they had to do this or get shadowed.
After the explanation, the three dragons flew down and tried to find the entrance to the underground tunnels. Penny 9 couldn't use her powers because she was exhausted.
Penny 10 and Snap looked together while Penny 9 worked alone. Snap walked over to a building and opened the door. There were stairs doing upwards so this couldn't be it, could it?
"Who cares, Snap?" Penny 10 told him. "It still could be the way you know." She looked down on the ground. "Look at these foot-prints!" There were loads of foot-prints leading in here and it seemed like the whole city.
"Fine," Snap sighed. "Know-it-all..." he said under his breath making sure she couldn't hear him.
"Sis!" Penny 10 called out. "Come on!"
Penny 9 came rushing to the two and went on up the stairs.
They reached the top and looked down. There was a huge hole and a dim orange glow in the distance. They took off and sped down the skinny hole and reached a large cavern full of the city's dragon residents.
"What is it you want?" the lead dragon said as he stood out from the crowd.

Thank you. I may get more in tomorrow or later today, if I don't bail on it again (hope I don't).

Chapter 9: The Discovery

Penny 10 looked at her sister and then looked back to the huge, brown dragon. He had a moldy green underbelly and horns like sharp rocks. The three's guess was he was an earth dragon.
"What do you want?" he asked again, this time angry.
"We want to tell you about the attacks on Warfang," Snap said.
"Ah, the shadow creatures no doubt," the dragon sighed. "But we take no responsibility for other cities, besides allies. We don't even care of the world's most famous city, unless they are our allies."
Penny 9, Penny 10 and Snap felt shock run through them. They don't care of the greatest city? That was outrageous!
"What, you don't care that the purple dragon has been shadowed?!" Penny 10 snapped.
"In ways yes, and no," the dragon said. "We here do not believe the purple dragon will save us."
"What if your allied turn into shadow?" Penny 9 said angrily.
The earth dragon look at his citizens and made a decision. "Fine, we will help you. What do you want us to do about this?"
"Well, you have to warn the other cities, even if they are not allies, about this plague!" this was Penny 10.
"Yes, we have to get the communicator to tell them," the dragon said. "my name is Grickor." he added.
"Grickor," Penny 9 repeated under her breath. "Grickor! Move!" She said as a rock fell from the roof above.
Grickor only dodged it just in time. Then the rest o the roof started to collapse and they heard the cry of the other dragons. They were trapped, the three were trapped. They just saw the shadow creeping in before they got caved-in.
"Oh no," Penny 10 muttered.
Snap sighed, "We are trapped."
"And I can sense no way out," Penny 9 added in.
The three looked at each other in sorrow and sadness. How could they escape? They had suffered from the attack of the Shadows and they are left to rot in here!
"There has to be a way out!" Penny 0 said. "We just have to find it."
The other two nodded and followed their leader, Penny 9.
The three looked up and saw nothing still. They had been walking onwards for quite a while now. No holes or anything had shown up. But then they came to a crack in the ground. They looked down and saw shadow and darkness puffing up like the sun's bursts.
This was were Cyclonis got her shadow!
