What did you think the dark master was? [CLOSED]

This is just a random question.

When i first heard ignitus talk about the dark master before the eternal night i thoughthe was the legend version

of ripto or the sorcerer.

Heck even the sorceress. smilie smilie

Hmm, I can't really recall what I used to think of him, although I don't remembering figuring he was a dragon.

It's kinda weird 2 me cause when I 1st heard of the Dark Master I thought he was going 2 be similar 2 the big ape guy in TEN.

I only thought that cause it seemed 2 me that the apes were the only ones that came close 2 the Dark Master and when he turned out 2 be a purple dragon I was extremely surprised.

Same here. Before I played the games, and I read the backs of ANB and TEN (I wasn't aware of DotD at this point) I assumed he was the Ape King.

Yeah, me either really. Maybe it was because he offered them a great reward? But if Malefor was so powerful, couldn't he have summoned the drak dragon spirits from before? Then he would be practically invincible, since spirits can attack but can't be attacked. But as you said, there should have been more evil dragons who want to destroy the world out there.

I wouldn't blame you for thinking the Dark Master was an ape. To be honest, I did before I thought he was a dragon ghost.

He said the Dark Master taught them how 2 harness the gem power 2 use as their own since he knew how 2 do that he was teaching them how 2 do that. Thats why they can use some elemental powers in ANB and TEN.

I thought he'd be like an alternate version of Spyro. Sort of a Yin and Yang type thing. And since Spyro was out of commission, by not being trained, etc, etc, The Dark Master ot too powerful, so then Spyro needed to restore balance.

*sigh* if only DotD was as good as we hoped.

...Was I the only person who actually thought the statue in the temple was the dark master? Anyway, I was very dissapointed with him in DotD. All this time it was a pink, ugly looking, warty dragon? I thought he'd at least be scary in some way.

I believe it was a statue of him, built before he was evil. Which makes sense, if you say the guardians were captured shortly after.
