Please note: When it comes to stories, I have bad grammar and English. XP So please pardon that. Oh, and this chapter is poorly made, but the story gets better. it's hard to think of a beginning to a story. XP
Chapter 1: The Beginning
--------------------------------------
In the deepest part of the Bronze Forest, lived a young rabbit by the name of Sky. She was ten years old, and loved helping her family. But Sky had a major problem. She had to wear the same necklace all the time to keep her alive. If it ever brakes, she will die.
One day, while walking in the forest, she found a message carved into a tree. Confused, Sky went to read it. "Seeking for the brave-hearted... My revenge will come," she read out load. "What does THAT mean? Eh, it's probably nothing. Probably just some kids pulling a trick." So Sky picked some herbs and returned home. When she came home, her mother was not pleased.
"Sky, where in the world have you been," she started. "I asked to to find some herbs and return home, but that was two hours ago! You gave your father and I a scare!" "I'm sorry, mother," replied Sky. "It was so nice out, and I didn't want to waste it." She came inside the house and placed the berries she found on the table. "What's this, now?" asked her father. "Cranberries," answered Sky. "Do you expect me to butcher a cow and bring THAT?" "No," said her father. "I just expect a little more food..."
After dinner, Sky went back outside. "Sky!" called out a voice startling Sky. "Sky, over here!" It was a young echidna named Aaron. "Oh, hi, Aaron," called Sky. "I found something just down right creepy!" said Aaron. "What is it?" asked Sky. "Come see for yourself," said Aaron. Aaron led Sky to the same tree she saw while picking berries. "Cool, huh?" said Aaron. "Maybe there's some creep who wants to kill us and eat us!" "Ew," said Sky. "Why would anybody want to eat US? Aaron, sometimes I don't understand you." "It was only a guess," said Aaron. "I think it's just some creep trying to scare little kids," said Sky. "Come on, let's just forget about it." "I dunno," said Aaron. "It looks pretty real to me." Sky and Aaron went deeper into the woods. Sky was trying to enjoy the beautiful weather, but Aaron was ruining it by talking about the June bug he ate last week.
Trying to ignore the gross conversation, Sky looked ahead and saw something on the ground. "Hey, what's that?" she asked. "Beats me," answered Aaron. "Let's go see it." As they got closer, Sky saw that it was a scroll. "A scroll?" she asked. "Read it! Read it!" said Aaron excitingly. "OK," said Sky. Sky felt a shiver as she opened the scroll carefully...
Chapter 2: The Scroll
--------------------------------------
As Sky opened the old looking scroll carefully, she began to read it out loud.
"A promise was sealed in my heart," she read. "The promise broke as I came upon my own fury... This too, shall prevent me from my escape." "I say chop suey," Aaron interrupted. "This doesn't even make sense! Some creep who's trapped someplace writing about his dumb promise he broke. He deserves it!" "Wait," said Sky. "I'm not done yet." "It's just gonna be a waste of time," muttered Aaron. Sky continued to read.
"The one who controls the liquid of the seas is my only hope," she read. "The one who controls those liquids can set e free." "There," said Aaron disgustedly. "I knew it. It's just a waste of time. Here we find this old cool looking scroll, and all it says is nonsense! What a rip off!" "The one who controls the liquids of the seas," Sky repeated. "Isn't that water?" asked Aaron. "Yes," answered Sky.
"Well, come on!" said Aaron. You read your dumb scroll. Can we go now?" "You're the one who wanted me to read it," said Sky. "But... That tree... And this message... Do you think...?" "Whatever it is," began Aaron. "It's all fake. Somebody is trying to trick us. Well, they're not tricking ME! All they're doing is making a fool of themselves. Come on, it's getting dark."
As Aaron walked home, Sky watched and looked back at the scroll. "This is... Fascinating," thought Sky. "I wonder who can control water? Is he here? Can he show me? What's his legend? Who is he?" Sky's thoughts where interrupted by an impatience, "COME ON!!" "I'm coming, Aaron," said Sky rolling her eyes.
"Do you really believe that stuff?" asked Aaron. "Why not?" Replied Sky. "After all, all things are possible." "Maybe," mumbled Aaron. "Can I see that scroll?" "OK, but be very careful with it," said Sky as she handed the scroll to Aaron. "Kind of sloppy handwriting," said Aaron squinting his eyes. "In fact, I can't read it at all! How can you read this?"
"It's in Ruinese," said Sky. "What ese?" asked Aaron. "Ruinese," started Sky, "Is an ancient language spoken only in the Ruinula Kingdom. I've been studying it since I was seven" "You have?" asked Aaron. "Why didn't you tell me?" "I didn't think it would interest you," said Sky. "All you care about is that gross June bug you ate last week." "I do not!" snapped Aaron. "It sure seems like it," said Sky taking the scroll away. "Well, there's our houses. I'll see you tomorrow, Aaron." "Bye, Sky," called Aaron as he headed home. Desperate, Sky ran in her house to show her parents the scroll she and Aaron discovered.
