Yeah i do. only because they been in every other game in the legend of spyro series and they were all about the darkmaster.so i think they will be.

the dreadwing might look different,to.they got even uglier(sorry if i misspelled that)in the legend of spyro the eternal night.and i'm not sure if those pirates are dogs are something else they sound weird.

Maybe they should have giant three headed fly traps replacing the dreadwings in the past two spyro games! Also Spyro shouldent do his melle atacks cause the heads might grow back! He should use his fire breath!

Those apes are really a pain... Even they're going to be in TDH, I hope they'll have new counetparts like SpyroGamer2008 said.

why do you hate those apes any way they're a part of the entire story of the game!espeically gaul!they make the game fun becuse you get to toss them around like toys with different breaths!

I hate the apes, Krome should look up a little concept called imagination and apply to designing the enemies.

I hope they come back. I've grown rather fond of them. Of course, if they don't, that would mean I was right all along and the DM was just using them as a last resort until he could find something better.

When the Eternal Night came out I was sad because they didn't make monkey noises anymore.

Speaking of the ape dudes, didn't you think it was weird that they put all of the monkey dudes that Spyro has faced in this series in one of the Dragon Challenges????

An answer would be appreciated, not to seem impatient but I need to know to build upon an argument I'm formulating.

I don't recall Ignitus ever saying that about the apes. They're set forth pretty firmly as being loyal supporters in the DM's cause (though I personally think there's more to it than that).

The TEN apes growled more than anything else, which freaked me out. They all sounded so serious and kind of sad, whereas in ANB they sounded like they were having a blast wreaking havoc all over the place. I miss the hooting and screaming.

Also, between the first two games, the apes' cries turned from high-pitched screeches to deep, blood-thirsty growls. Definitely went along better with the game's darker feel.

Hmmm... I wonder if the third game will be a nice mix of the super dark of TEN and the lighthearted epic of ANB? That would rock.

Personally, I always found them to be the right balance between menacing and funny... and well, they're much more fitting than say, Ryptocs or Rhynocs (especially the later, which have appeared as the main generic villains in at least a bajillion Spyro games).

I think the ape-thingys will return....there will probably be more because

no they wont coz the APE king is dead, and in gba version spyro said he killed the rest of'em and in ps2 verion the mountain fell up their HEADS and only spyro, sparx and cynder are safe coz of the freezing, dark master dont manipulate the apes, he manipulate gaul and gaul manipulate them, if gaul is DEAD there wont be a leader to send them to the shattered vale in search for spyro coz there is no ape outta shatered vale

now THATS an interesting idea. Of course if there was another general then Spyro would have to fight him AND the dark master... at least it will make the game longer...

Cynder was in control of a large number of apes, Gaul had his forces... It's only reasonable that the DM might have a few ape armies all to himself, just in case. Maybe they'll rally under him in the absence of their former king.

True... or maybe his dark powers conjure up a much stronger force of apes or something... with stronger attacks! That'd be nice!

I actually just got the wierd though that maybe, just maybe, the apes might actually join the dragons to fight some new incredibly evil threat or because they feel betrayed by the Dark Master or the Dark Master was a good guy all along and Spyro winds up fighting with them instead of against them. The possible causes are endless and the potential explainations and story developments such an alliance could offer is are enourmous.

But given how straightforward the series has been so far...

Oh, if only, Twilight! I would love to see at least one good ape appear in the series, but it's far too cliche to let that happen.

Who cares about cliche's, only the critics care enough to ruin an experience by actually looking for quasi-bad things like cliche's.
Though I agree with HIR, in that Krome will try to keep the series straight forward. I cannot believe that Krome doesn't appear to want to try anything surprising. I shall still hope while the time remains.
If only to see the anguish felt to know the killing one wrought upon an enemy who never was, for the enemy who always was.
