like all good thing must come to an end, so do you think that spyro will make a come back as a video game, or get lost in the said of time?

Probably dead...I haven't heard of anything, but I wish they'd make more of the Originals. Didn't like TLoS that much.

^ Yes there will be. So Spyro's NOT dead, but I have a feeling that they won't do a LoS game. Activision said they were heading Spyro in a new direction, that's why the cancelled The Legend of Spyro 3D...

Yes of course he died. It's obvious they would kill a good character and not make anymore money off it. It's not like there was a cutscene after the credits showing he lived. sarcasm. *rolls eyes*

Yeah. End of DoTD, The Chronicler says "Each time a dragon dies, a new page is written in this book. I've done my best, but I can't seem to find any trace of Spyro..." He's not dead.

Man spyro is long gone and forgotten it was a good franchise but people want shooters nowadays so may spyro RIP.

Me too. New Spyro the Dragon for a new generation of fans, y'know? And new spyro for old fans too! smilie I'd consider anyone 10 and up and 'old fan', newbies are everyone else! :3

Yes, Spyro did not die. I thought he had, well I was confused as I had only seen parts of the ending scene. But when I watched the part that GM has written here, I realized Spyro had not died. Thank god for that! XD
Spyro did NOT die, but the way ACTIVISION is going...ugh...who knows...

And I'm hoping he'll make a comeback. If Skylanders is successful, he'll most likely have a full adventure of his own, once again. If not, however, well.. End of Spyro, maybe.

maybe if skylanders turns out a piece of crap, maybe activision will give up, THEN the development will go to someone else. Insomniac, naughty dog or EA would be best choices. That would be great if insomniac got spyro back and deleted all traces of spyro enter the dragon fly and heros tail, and started were YOTD left off.

I hope that when the series ends, the game ends without any room for another game, like if he died. I hope that never happens though. I hope that mw3 sucks and nobody gets it. Then the cod series will end.

I know right? How dare they give the rights to a big name franchise to a developer that made only a handful of games. I mean look at Batman! Such a historic franchise, and they gave the rights to Rocksteady to develop the game?! They've only made a handful of games! They can't possibly make a good game! Oh..........wait.

The amount of games that someone has made doesn't impact how well they can make it.

^Actually, it does of course have some impact. Just not as much as Prysom implies.
Take Portal 2, for example - it was completely necessary to make Portal 1, with it's basic concept, before making something more complicated, like Portal 2. Valve needed the experience, and the feedback, to push for something bigger.

As for the topic title, despite having never played Skylanders, and despite being skeptical about it (i.e. I don't really like the looks of it, but I think there are interesting looking things there), I consider it Spyro's comeback, mainly because of how successful it is. He's now back as a AAA player in the industry, and he is playing well.

I didn't check any scores for Skylanders yet... But didn't Skylanders get some decent/pretty good scores?

EDIT: Pfffft, yeah, it made some very good scores.

I hope he makes a comeback. I am currently working on developing my idea for a new Spyro trilogy called: The Timeline Traveller. The 3 games in the series would be:-
Spyro-The truth of the Past
Spyro-The Mystery of the Present
Spyro-A Destined Future They all feature old and new characters, over 10 playable characters and a further 12 in battle mode. When it is finished unless Spyro dies I am going to send it in to the makers of TLOS.

Please let me know what you think.
