really strange I don't like how spyro looks and I hope that if there is an official movie I hope it won't be made by eragon people...

When I look at that picture I get all proud of him. lol I don't know why. It's hard to say what is in my head but its like. Wow thats my/our hero. Going to be on the big screen. Also I look up to him. lol

Tell that to the thousands of disappointed fans who were hoping to see Spyro on the big screen, not some fantasy novel reject. There is such a thing as over doing it.

Well weather its going to be bad or good it wont change the way I love Spyro. lol

I guess the image of Spyro in that picture is cool, but not in a way that makes me think "Spyro". I think it looks cool just in a way that any dragon looks cool. It just doesn't look like Spyro at all... even less so than the new VIDEO GAME Spyro looks.

The main problem with Spyro on the movie poster?

Ancient, majestic, graceful.

This is what the purple dragon on the poster looks like.

Spyro, through the whole serie, is a hatchling, smallish, a bit of a runt, and definitely NOT graceful at best. Spyro's coolness does not come from the fact that he's a generic uber graceful dragon of ancient epicness. It comes from the fact that despite being about half the size of every other character excluding Sparx, he manages to kick every bad guy's behind and look cool while doing so.

Final result: Epic phailure.

Did they even bother looking at the source material? In my opinion they just went:

"Hey! We're making a new dragon movie!"
"What's the main character? A generic dragon rider or a generic dragon slayer?"
"Nope. It's a dragon. Spea... Spy... Spi-something. Some kind of purple dragon"
"What a weird idea to make the dragon itself the hero! What's the problem anyway?"
"Well, it's based on a video game..."
"Bah. Screw the video game. It probably sucks and anyway, a dragon is a dragon. Take this generic dragon drawing and color it purple. The fans won't notice the difference. Oh and we definitely ought to find a way to make that Spi-something a secondary character. We NEED a human lead. People looooves bishonen boy-girl heroes. Yeah, it's genius!"

o_o I don't see what's wrong with a purple dragon being a hero....^

There isn't anything wrong but Z's probably right about what they'll do with the movie.

Maybe that's just their first drawing and they'll change it later? Or maybe that's one of the characters in the movie?

i know it's kind of wrong to judge a movie by it's poster, but...i think this movie is going to be greatly dissapointing.

i hope the whole idea of the movie doesn't fall through.

I like him the way he is for that movie. It looks like Spyro only older. I think they made him look like that bec. They want him to look real as possible. In the game His eyes are too big. Which is cute but you have to remember that it could look different on the big screen. So they probubly have to figure out how to make him look like a real dragon, but also make him look cute at the same time which I think he looks cute in the poster.

But thank you Tango I feel better to here some possitive attitude about the picture. Me personaly is too early to judge. Also I like your name its cute.

Can someone send a bigger picture about that movie poster?

Honestly, I can't decide whether or not I like this Spyro. Ever paused a live-action movie while someone was talking? Did that person look weird? I think that's what the case is with this Spyro model they've shown us. Seeing it in motion can make a big difference, so I'm going to wait for more pictures or a trailer to be released before I make my final judgment.

See the difference? His pose is more stretched. It's smaller but it looks much better imo.

Edit: I forgot to mention... Ugh Eragon producers!? I hope they don't ruin it. Eragon was a... passable book, but the movie... Barf.

Let's just dealy hope that that is a early image and just a draft and that won't really look like that. To be honest I think he should look like he does in the "movie" quality stuff in ANB....

I don't think that the movie poster is so bad! It still looks better to Spyro with purple eyes, but else I like it!
